Best Customer Feedback Software in 2026

Customer feedback software collects what customers say, through surveys, request boards and review analysis, and routes it to the people who act on it.

This guide ranks twelve products on setup hours, the invoice once modules are added, how data leaves, and whether you can buy and run it without a partner.

Vendors can pay for visibility on this page. It never changes what an entry says about a product, including the criticism, and we earn nothing when you click through to a vendor. How that works.

In short

What customer feedback software does

Customer feedback software gathers opinions from customers through surveys, feedback boards and connected channels, organises the answers by theme or score, and passes them to product, support and marketing teams.

How we ranked these

5 criteria, in order

In this order: setup effort, what it really costs, how your data comes back out, whether you can leave, and who each customer feedback tool is built for. One rule sits on top of those tests: Places 1 to 3 go to challengers, vendors outside the best-known brands in a category, wherever the category has them; the established names follow from place 4 in their ranked order. Why those five, and why there is no score out of ten, is on the how we work page.

#1 Canny

Feature request boards with revenue context, run by a bootstrapped company

Ranked #1 of 12 in Best Customer Feedback Software in 2026.

Free tierPublished pricingNorth America

Canny answers the independence test better than any other entry: the About page says it has been bootstrapped and profitable since 2017. Setup is light, since the free tier needs no card and Autopilot reads conversations from Intercom, Zendesk, Freshdesk, Gong and Zoom.

The meter deserves care. A tracked user is anyone who posts, votes or comments, and without a spend limit the plan upgrades itself when you pass the cap. Set the limit on day one.

What stands out
  • Bootstrapped
  • Feedback boards
  • Tracked users
Where it costs you
  • It collects feature requests and votes, so teams wanting NPS or CSAT surveys need another product.
  • CRM integrations and the 5,000-plus tracked-user tier sit in the custom Business plan.
Right for

Product teams that want public request boards tied to revenue, without investors behind the vendor

Wrong for

Teams that need scored satisfaction surveys or a contact-centre tool

United StatesFree tier for 25 tracked users; paid prices published, yearly billing discount

#2 Refiner

In-app and email microsurveys sized by active users, not by responses

Ranked #2 of 12 in Best Customer Feedback Software in 2026.

Pricing on requestEurope

Refiner keeps the first ninety days short: ready templates for NPS, CSAT, CES and product-market fit, plus in-app, mobile, website and email delivery in all plans. Paid plans include unlimited responses and team members, so a successful survey never triggers an overage.

The price driver is monthly active users, and Growth is where translations, event tracking and CRM or analytics integrations arrive. Run the tier calculation on your active-user count, since the amounts were not readable on the page.

What stands out
  • Microsurveys
  • Per active user
  • SaaS focus
Where it costs you
  • Event tracking, translations and CRM integrations are missing from the Essentials plan.
  • Plans are sized by monthly active users, which punishes a large, mostly dormant user base.

#3 Survicate

Website, in-app and email surveys billed on responses and data points

Ranked #3 of 12 in Best Customer Feedback Software in 2026.

Published pricingEurope

Survicate S.A. is a Warsaw-registered company selling a feedback platform rather than a research suite. Surveys run on websites, mobile apps, email and chat, and its site lists more than 50 integrations including Salesforce, HubSpot and Zendesk.

The price list is public, which suits a buyer who dislikes quotes, but the Growth plan keeps six months of data, and Pro and Enterprise use custom yearly response pools you must size in advance.

What stands out
  • Survey platform
  • Response limits
  • Integrations
Where it costs you
  • Growth plan allows only 250 responses a month and two active surveys
  • Trial is limited to 25 responses
Right for

SaaS and web teams triggering short surveys on customer actions

Wrong for

PolandPlans published with a 10-day trial, no card needed

#4 Featurebase

Estonian feedback boards and roadmap sold inside a helpdesk subscription

Ranked #4 of 12 in Best Customer Feedback Software in 2026.

Free tierPublished pricingEurope

Featurebase gets a small team live fast: the free plan has one seat and the feedback module is listed as included in every plan. The independence test passes in practice, since the vendor is a single Estonian company and the terms state primary hosting in the EU.

The price rises per seat, from Growth upward, and AI replies add a per-resolution charge. Choose the seat count by who writes replies, not by who reads feedback.

What stands out
  • Roadmap and changelog
  • Helpdesk bundled
  • EU hosting
Where it costs you
  • Paid tiers charge per seat, and helpdesk seats may be bought for a team that only needs feedback.
  • AI resolutions cost extra per resolved conversation on paid tiers.
Right for

Startups wanting feedback boards, roadmap and a helpdesk from one EU-registered vendor

Wrong for

Large enterprises needing survey-scored CX programmes

EstoniaFree plan with one seat; paid tiers per seat, prices published

#5 Qualaroo

Targeted on-page survey prompts with a capped free plan and low entry tiers

Ranked #5 of 12 in Best Customer Feedback Software in 2026.

Free tierPublished pricingNorth America

Qualaroo is the cheapest way here to try contextual surveys: the free plan covers 50 responses and 10,000 pageviews, and paid tiers list unlimited responses with CSV and Excel export. The setup is a script on your pages plus targeting rules.

What changes the invoice is the meter: Essentials includes 1,000 email sends a month and Business 5,000 sends with 100,000 pageviews. Cancelling within 15 days brings a refund, and ProProfs-wide terms apply.

What stands out
  • Nudge surveys
  • Website feedback
  • ProProfs family
Where it costs you
  • The free plan stops at 50 responses, so real use needs a paid tier almost at once.
  • Paid tiers meter email sends and pageviews, which grows with site traffic.
Right for

Small sites wanting exit-intent and on-page prompts for a low monthly cost

Wrong for

Organisations running a multi-channel feedback programme with case handling

United StatesFree plan up to 50 responses; paid tiers published, annual discount

#6 Usersnap

Linz-based feedback widgets with an opportunity board and unlimited seats

Ranked #6 of 12 in Best Customer Feedback Software in 2026.

Published pricingEurope

New accounts get a free trial and can earn a free month of Premium by setting up two channels and collecting twenty feedback items. After that, Starter, Growth, Professional and Premium are billed monthly or yearly.

Limits scale with project count: 2, 10, 20 and 50. Enterprise adds SSO, SAML and a 99.9 per cent uptime guarantee, and is quoted. It sends work to Jira rather than hosting it.

What stands out
  • Feedback widget
  • Unlimited seats
  • Opportunity board
Where it costs you
  • Starter is limited to 2 seats and 2 projects.
  • Higher tiers are structured around product discovery and AI feedback analysis, which a pure bug-reporting team may never use.
Right for

Product teams that want unlimited colleagues submitting and reviewing feedback

Wrong for

Teams that need a backlog or sprint planning in the same tool

AustriaFour tiers published in euros; trial offered

#7 UserVoice

Long-running feedback portal priced by volume and integrations, never by seat

Ranked #7 of 12 in Best Customer Feedback Software in 2026.

Pricing on requestNorth America

UserVoice does not charge per seat; the plan follows feedback volume, tools and integrations, so a wide rollout to sales and success adds no licence. The first ninety days are guided: a dedicated CSM, a success plan and technical setup of about one to two weeks inside a four to six week launch.

Existing feedback moves in by CSV or API bulk import. Hosting is on Google Cloud. Because the price is never shown, ask for the volume tier in writing.

What stands out
  • Feedback portal
  • Seat-free pricing
  • CSM onboarding
Where it costs you
  • The vendor quotes four to six weeks to launch, which is slow for a small team.
  • The trial is a 30-day workspace arranged after a demo, not a self-serve account.
Right for

Product organisations where sales and support must read one feedback portal without seat fees

Wrong for

Teams wanting survey scores, or a price they can read today

United StatesQuoted per organisation; 30-day trial after a demo

#8 AskNicely

NPS and CSAT programmes for service businesses, with unlimited users

Ranked #8 of 12 in Best Customer Feedback Software in 2026.

Pricing on requestNorth America

AskNicely suits operations where customer scores feed team habits: leaderboards, huddles and coaching sit in the higher plans, and users are unlimited. Setup is a managed project, which the vendor itself says is why no trial exists.

The quote starts from 500 responses a year and scales with volume; reputation management, SSO and NiceAI are priced as optional add-ons. Ask for the add-on lines separately, and read the term-end clause before signing.

What stands out
  • NPS and CSAT
  • Unlimited users
  • Annual contract
Where it costs you
  • The vendor offers no trial, so the evaluation is a sales conversation.
  • Downgrades and cancellations take effect only at the end of the contract term.
Right for

Service businesses running recurring NPS and CSAT with frontline coaching and review requests

Wrong for

Teams that want a self-serve signup and a monthly cancellable plan

United StatesQuoted per organisation; annual terms, scaled by response volume

#9 Sprig

Agent-built survey studies for research teams, delivered by link, email or in-product

Ranked #9 of 12 in Best Customer Feedback Software in 2026.

Pricing on requestElsewhere

Sprig is now a research platform: Design, Field, Analyze and Synthesize agents build studies, adapt questions to answers and run the statistics. Deployment spans link, email, web apps, mobile and a panel of 300K+ verified participants, so recruiting is bundled.

The price follows total response volume, activated capabilities and deployment environments, none of it shown. Treat the first call as the real cost estimate and ask what each deployment channel adds.

What stands out
  • Research platform
  • AI agents
  • Panels
Where it costs you
  • The pricing page shows no amounts and offers a demo as the only route in.
  • It is built for research programmes, which is heavy for a single in-product NPS prompt.
Right for

Research teams running studies across web, mobile, email and recruited panels

Wrong for

Small product teams wanting a cheap embedded survey widget

Not stated by the vendorQuoted per organisation; demo-led, scaled by response volume

#10 Birdie

Analyses NPS results, reviews, tickets and calls into themes, sends no surveys

Ranked #10 of 12 in Best Customer Feedback Software in 2026.

Pricing on requestNorth America

Birdie sits on top of feedback you already hold. Inputs include NPS surveys, app-store and public reviews, tickets from Zendesk, Intercom and Salesforce, recorded calls, chats and social mentions.

Its AI taxonomy groups them into themes, and Skye, the AI analyst, answers questions. Setup is mostly connectors and taxonomy tuning rather than survey design. Because it replaces nothing in collection, budget for a survey tool beside it.

What stands out
  • Feedback analysis
  • Reviews and tickets
  • AI analyst
Where it costs you
  • It cannot send surveys or gather new answers; it only analyses data from other tools.
  • The site shows no price list, trial or self-serve signup.
Right for

CX and product teams drowning in reviews, tickets and survey comments across tools

Wrong for

Teams that need to design and send surveys themselves

United StatesDemo-led; no prices shown on the site

#11 InMoment

Package-based experience platform for surveys, reviews and conversation analysis

Ranked #11 of 12 in Best Customer Feedback Software in 2026.

Pricing on requestNorth America

InMoment sorts its offer into packages by team: surveys for CX and research, conversational intelligence for contact centres, reputation management for marketing, analytics for insight teams and digital listening for product.

The service mode is a choice among do it yourself, fully managed or a mix, so first-ninety-day hours depend on that pick. A German GmbH and a Utah base appear on its contact page. Ask which packages the bundle price truly includes.

What stands out
  • Packaged modules
  • Reputation tools
  • Text analytics
Where it costs you
  • The vendor site shows no prices or trial, so any comparison starts with a demo.
  • Modules are sold per team, so unused packages can sit inside the Integrated CX bundle.
Right for

Multi-team organisations combining surveys, reviews and conversation analysis in one contract

Wrong for

Small teams wanting a self-serve survey tool with visible pricing

United StatesSold by package; no prices on the vendor site

#12 Medallia

Enterprise experience platform priced in annual tiers of experience data records

Ranked #12 of 12 in Best Customer Feedback Software in 2026.

Pricing on requestNorth America

Medallia, Inc. gives its privacy office address as McLean, Virginia. Agile Research offers templates, 80+ languages, maxdiff and conjoint analysis, and respondent access through a third-party panel provider.

The pricing page covers the whole Experience Cloud under one model, Experience Data Records, and sends buyers to sales. The checkmarket.com address redirects here, so evaluate it as a continuation of that product.

What stands out
  • Experience data records
  • Enterprise programmes
  • Closed-loop workflows
Where it costs you
  • Pricing is quoted through Experience Data Records
  • Agile Research is a module of a wider platform
Right for

Enterprises already measuring customer experience on the Medallia platform and its panels

Wrong for

Teams buying a standalone survey tool at a small, predictable cost

United StatesQuoted per organisation; annual tiers by experience data records

How to choose customer feedback software

Customer feedback software gathers opinions from customers through surveys, feedback boards and connected channels, organises the answers by theme or score, and passes them to product, support and marketing teams. The differences that matter are rarely in the feature list, so this is the order we would work through them.

  1. 01

Decide whether you need a published price

5 of the 12 tools here publish what they cost; the other 7 quote per organisation. The ones you can compare without a sales call: Canny, Survicate, Featurebase, Qualaroo, Usersnap.

  2. 02

Decide how much the jurisdiction matters

These 12 vendors are established in 6 countries across 3 regions (North America 7, Europe 4, Elsewhere 1). That decides whose disclosure law applies to what the vendor holds, wherever the servers are.

What the bill counts: responses, tracked users, seats or records

Two products with the same headline price can behave opposite ways, because each counts something different. Canny meters tracked users, anyone who posts or votes, and upgrades the plan on its own unless you set a spend limit. Refiner counts monthly active users and leaves responses unlimited. Survicate counts responses and data points, with overage fees on the entry plans.

UserVoice charges by volume, tools and integrations and never by seat, while Featurebase charges per seat plus per AI resolution. Medallia counts experience data records in annual tiers. Before you compare quotes, write down your likely volume for each meter, then see which vendor penalises that pattern.

  • Estimate users, responses and seats separately, then price each vendor on its own meter.
  • Ask what happens when a limit is passed: overage fee, silent upgrade or stopped collection.
  • Set a spend limit in writing wherever the vendor allows one.

Collecting answers, analysing them or tracking requests are different jobs

This market mixes three products under one name. Survicate, Refiner, Qualaroo and AskNicely send questionnaires and score them. Canny, UserVoice and Featurebase run boards where customers post and vote on requests. Birdie sends nothing; it analyses NPS results, reviews, tickets and calls collected elsewhere.

Sprig and InMoment sit in the research and enterprise corner, bundling collection with analysis. A team that buys a request board and expects NPS trends will be disappointed, and a team that buys Birdie without a collection tool has nothing to analyse. Name the job first, then shortlist only the products that do it.

  • Write down whether you need scored surveys, request voting or analysis of existing text.
  • Ask each vendor which of these jobs it covers natively and which needs a partner product.
  • Confirm that the channel you care about (in-app, email, website, calls) is supported.

Trials, demos and contracts differ more than prices do

How you get to try the product decides how fast you learn. Survicate offers a 10-day trial with no card, and Canny and Qualaroo have a free entry level. UserVoice gives a 30-day workspace but only after a demo. AskNicely says plainly that there is no trial, because setup is tailored, and its plans are mostly annual with downgrades at term end.

Sprig, InMoment, Birdie and Medallia show a demo button and no amounts. Qualaroo refunds within 15 days of signing up. A product you can test on your own data in an afternoon exposes its weaknesses before the contract does.

  • Ask for the exact trial length, whether a card is needed and what the trial omits.
  • Find the notice period and whether downgrades apply at once or at term end.
  • Run one live survey or board with real customers before signing anything annual.

Where feedback data sits and how it leaves

Survey and request history is the asset you take to the next vendor, so check retention and export before choosing. Survicate lists six months of data retention on its entry plans and puts the export API on Growth and above. Qualaroo lists CSV and Excel export, and AskNicely offers report export with unlimited API extraction in Transform.

UserVoice runs on Google Cloud, and Featurebase states primary hosting in the EU. Refiner is a French company and Usersnap an Austrian one, which matters if your customers expect EU processing. Request a sample export before purchase and read it, because a file that omits comments or user attributes is not an exit.

  • Ask for a sample export and check that comments, scores and user attributes are included.
  • Check retention by plan, since some tiers drop older responses.
  • Ask which region hosts your data and whether that can be chosen.

What goes wrong most often when buying customer feedback software

  • Buying a request board and then asking it for NPS trends, which only survey products produce.
  • Comparing entry prices without checking the meter, so a spike in users or responses becomes a surprise upgrade.
  • Accepting an annual contract before running a live survey with real customers on a trial or free level.
  • Skipping a sample export, then discovering at renewal that comments or customer attributes cannot leave.

What is the best customer feedback software in 2026?

Canny leads our ranking of 12. Canny says it has been bootstrapped and profitable since 2017 and answers to customers, not investors, which makes it the most independent vendor here.

  • Featurebase: Free plan with one seat; paid tiers per seat, prices published.

Who should not buy Canny?

Teams that need scored satisfaction surveys or a contact-centre tool. It collects feature requests and votes, so teams wanting NPS or CSAT surveys need another product..
