Church presentation software puts lyrics, scripture and announcements on the screens a congregation sees, and sends a different view to the band and the operator.
This guide ranks twelve programmes by what the first year costs, how much each vendor publishes about itself, whether files import from rivals, and how many outputs it drives.
Vendors can pay for more visibility on this website, for example a higher place in a ranking or more room on a page. Commercial relationships can also affect which products we feature and how prominently. Every vendor link is marked the same, whatever the arrangement behind it. How that works.
In short
What church presentation software does
Church presentation software projects lyrics, Bible passages, slides and video to congregation screens, with stage views for musicians, song libraries and a remote control for whoever runs the service.
Each church presentation tool was put through the same five questions, in sequence: how hard is setup, what does it really cost, how does data come back out, can you leave, and who is it for. A separate rule reserves the first three places for challengers and moves the household names to place 4 and below. Our how we work page explains the choice of these five and why we give no mark out of ten.
Volunteer-built song and Bible projector for Windows, macOS, Linux and FreeBSD
Ranked #1 of 12 in Best Church Presentation Software in 2026.
Pricing on requestElsewhere
The site lists songs with verse ordering and backing tracks, Bible search by reference or phrase, PowerPoint and LibreOffice Impress slides, and VLC for video and audio. Stage view and remote control run from a built-in web app on the local network, with Android and iOS remote apps.
The current version is 3.1.7. Because the project is volunteer-run and names no parent, there is nobody to sell you an upgrade, and also nobody contractually obliged to answer a question.
What stands out
Volunteer-developed
Four desktop systems
Phone remote apps
Where it costs you
Which licence covers the code is unstated, so a church with a licence policy must ask the project.
No paid support or hosted service is mentioned, so help depends on the volunteer project.
Right for
Churches wanting an unowned projector that also runs on Linux or FreeBSD
Wrong for
Teams that need a vendor to call when Sunday breaks
Not stated by the vendorCosts nothing to download, use or distribute; a donation link funds the project
Song projector for Windows and macOS, sold once by PC count
Ranked #2 of 12 in Best Church Presentation Software in 2026.
Published pricingElsewhere
The home page describes software for projecting songs, scripture, photos, videos and DVDs to a congregation, in English and German. The order page gives three tiers, and prices are shown in US dollars with euro amounts for EU customers, VAT included for them.
Donor-funded presenter with NDI, MIDI cues and several simultaneous outputs
Ranked #3 of 12 in Best Church Presentation Software in 2026.
Pricing on requestElsewhere
Multiple outputs can carry different looks at once, a web output serves mobile devices, and MIDI can advance slides. Countdowns and autoplay timers are built in. Imports from PowerPoint, ProPresenter, EasyWorship and OpenSong lower the cost of leaving an older tool.
Windows, macOS and Linux downloads are listed. The footer names Live Church Solutions as copyright holder and mentions an EIN, but no country, so the legal home of the organisation is not confirmed by the pages read.
What stands out

Where it costs you
No licence is named on the page read, so reuse rights are unconfirmed.
Funding comes from donors, and the site gives no support terms or service levels.
Right for
Production teams wanting NDI and MIDI control without a licence fee
Wrong for
Buyers who need written support terms from the vendor
Not stated by the vendorCosts nothing, with no paid tiers listed; the site says it is funded by donors
Perpetual Windows and Mac licences with optional support and media plans
Ranked #4 of 12 in Best Church Presentation Software in 2026.
Published pricingElsewhere
Windows licences run from a Site tier with unlimited computers to Essentials and Complete bundles that add a first year of Plus support and, for Complete, Shift Worship Media. Mac versions have their own site, essentials and complete prices.
Plus membership is sold yearly or monthly, and a media plan and a combined plan are offered. Seventy Bibles ship with it, the lyric library connects to CCLI SongSelect, and support is included with every Windows and Mac version.
What stands out
Perpetual licence
Support plans
14-day trial
Where it costs you
Bundles include only a first year of support, then renew at a yearly rate.
Mac licences are listed separately from Windows ones, so a mixed-computer church prices twice.

Lyrics projector in ten languages with a chords-only stage view
Ranked #5 of 12 in Best Church Presentation Software in 2026.
Published pricingElsewhere
Backgrounds can be video, colour or still images, and Bibles load in the Zefania XML format. The mobile view in a browser pushes lyrics to phones in real time. Imports from EasyWorship, OpenLP, OpenSong and the Survivor songbooks mean an existing song library moves across without retyping.
Downloads link to GitHub, and the interface is offered in English, German, Spanish, Dutch and Portuguese among ten languages. Nothing on the page read describes a vendor, so the project's owner stays unconfirmed.

Where it costs you
The licence is described only as free, and its name is never given.
The scope is lyric projection, and the page lists no scheduling or service-planning function.

Installed lyric projector with 3,000 Bible translations and chord transposition
Ranked #6 of 12 in Best Church Presentation Software in 2026.
Pricing on requestElsewhere
The site lists video loops, image slideshows and PowerPoint, with a live video feed usable as a lyric background. Agenda files can sync through pCloud, Dropbox or OneDrive, so the vendor hosts nothing.
Song, scripture and loop sets with automatic chord transposition on three desktops
Ranked #7 of 12 in Best Church Presentation Software in 2026.
Pricing on requestElsewhere
Printed chord sheets can show regular and capo-ed chords together, which helps a band with mixed ability. Bible passages can run verse by verse, and timed loops can cycle announcements or a question session.
Fonts, shadowing, outlining and background colours or images can be adjusted for readability. Releases are listed for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, with source linked on GitHub. The pages read do not mention mobile remote apps or cloud features.
What stands out

Where it costs you
No country, imprint or licence name is given on the pages read.
Support is described only as the development team, with no terms or response times.

Lyrics presenter with song history, team scheduling and stage view monitors
Ranked #8 of 12 in Best Church Presentation Software in 2026.
Published pricingElsewhere
Songs can be sorted into separate groups, and web lyric search is built in. Playlists are scheduled, and each song keeps a play history. Reports cover most-played songs, scheduled songs and scheduled members, which edges the product toward service planning.
Remote control and viewing run through the Holyrics mobile app, and a Stage View with a communication panel serves return monitors. The copyright line names Lima Giran Ltda., and terms and privacy links point to a .br domain.
What stands out

The site shows no plans, prices or trial terms, so the terms of use are unclear.
The pages read do not state the country in text or list the supported desktop systems.

Support is a Help section, Forums and a Changelog, and a donation page is linked. The page is attributed to Wai Kuen Mo. The address given in the job was easislides.com, which redirects to easyslides.com.

Where it costs you
No integrations are mentioned on the page read, so imports and links are unconfirmed.

Presenter, planning, charts and rehearsal suite that works offline
Ranked #10 of 12 in Best Church Presentation Software in 2026.
Pricing on requestElsewhere
Presenter imports from SongSelect and Loop Community, syncs through the cloud and still works offline. The wider suite adds Planning for service order and volunteer scheduling, Charts for chord charts and sheet music on iOS, Android and web, and a Community church database with a Rehearse practice tool.
CCLI, Sunday Sounds, Loop Community and WorshipFuel are listed as partners. The cost to the buyer is the corporate owner, stated in the footer, rather than a fee.
What stands out
Suite with planning
Works offline
CCLI auto-reporting
Where it costs you
The footer says SESAC Music Group owns it, so independence is lower than the volunteer projects.
Plan prices are not shown, so what the free suite may later cost is unknown.
Right for
Churches wanting presenter, volunteer planning and charts in one login

Buyers who rank vendor independence above bundled extras
Not stated by the vendorThe whole suite costs nothing, says the site, with no trial period and no card; plan prices are not shown
Per-church subscription with unlimited seats and browser or phone editing
Ranked #11 of 12 in Best Church Presentation Software in 2026.
Published pricingElsewhere
The desktop app runs on Mac and Windows. Entry-level Proclaim carries over a thousand free media assets and more than sixty Bible versions. Pro adds a media library of over eighteen thousand motions and stills, and a Partner Media tier lifts that to over seventy thousand assets.
Seats are unlimited at every tier. The trial begins on the Pro plan, so a church should confirm which features survive after downgrading to the cheaper plan.
What stands out
Unlimited seats
Browser and phone editing
Media library tiers
Where it costs you
Browser and phone editing sit in the Pro tier, so the entry price does not include them.
Annual billing saves up to 17 percent, so monthly payers carry a visible premium.
Right for
Churches with several volunteer editors working from different devices
Wrong for
Teams wanting a one-off licence instead of a yearly bill
Not stated by the vendorYearly subscription per church in three tiers, amounts published; monthly billing exists; 14-day trial

Cloud storage can be topped up in 200 GB, 1 TB and 3 TB steps, and extra editor seats cost a few dollars a month. The footer gives an Alpharetta, Georgia address, but no parent company or acquisition is mentioned, so ownership beyond the LLC is unstated.
What stands out
Eight content layers
SDI, NDI and Syphon
Cloud Editor seats
Where it costs you
The base subscription price was not visible on the pages read, so a full cost cannot be quoted.
Browser-based editing is not available, and cloud sync needs version 22 or later.

Broadcast-minded teams needing SDI or NDI outputs and layered looks
Wrong for
Small churches comparing total yearly cost before a demo
Not stated by the vendorSubscription with cloud sync included; extra storage and editor seats priced per month or year, base price not shown
Church presentation software projects lyrics, Bible passages, slides and video to congregation screens, with stage views for musicians, song libraries and a remote control for whoever runs the service. The differences that matter are rarely in the feature list, so this is the order we would work through them.
01
Work out how much a sales call is worth to you
Prices are public at 5 products (SongBeamer, MediaShout, Quelea, Holyrics, Proclaim) and on request at the remaining 7, so budget time for quotes if your favourite is in that second group.
02
Ask which country the contract runs through
These 12 vendors are established in 1 countries across 1 regions (Elsewhere 12). That decides whose disclosure law applies to what the vendor holds, wherever the servers are.
How church presentation software handles songs, Bibles and the band
A Sunday service asks one program to do three jobs: show words to the room, show chords to the band, and let one operator keep up. Quelea gives the band a chords-only stage view, OpenSong prints chord sheets with capo chords beside regular ones, and VideoPsalm transposes ChordPro files. Holyrics adds a stage view with a communication panel for return monitors.
Bible handling differs more than buyers expect: ProPresenter lists 125 translations, Proclaim 60 or more, and VideoPsalm claims over 3,000. Count the translations your congregation actually reads before treating a big number as a reason to choose, and open a Psalm and a long passage in each candidate to see how verses split across slides.
List the Bible translations your readers use and check each one
Ask whether the band gets a separate chords view
Confirm chords transpose without retyping the song
Free projectors, one-off licences and subscriptions compared
Prices in this market split three ways. OpenLP, FreeShow, Quelea, VideoPsalm, OpenSong and EasiSlides cost nothing to download. SongBeamer and MediaShout sell licences once, by number of computers, and MediaShout bundles renew support at a yearly rate after the first year. Proclaim and ProPresenter are subscriptions, and ProPresenter's base price was not readable on the pages we checked.
Add the second year when you compare: a perpetual licence with a support plan, a per-church subscription and a donation-funded program cost very different amounts by year three. Ask each vendor for the renewal figure in writing, because the headline number rarely includes it, and ask whether the Mac and Windows prices differ when your volunteers use both.
Add year two and year three costs to every quote
Check whether support renewals are optional or required
Confirm what happens to your files if a subscription lapses
Imports, exports and leaving your current presenter
Switching presenters means moving a song library built over years. FreeShow imports from PowerPoint, ProPresenter, EasyWorship and OpenSong, Quelea reads EasyWorship, OpenLP, OpenSong and Survivor songbooks, and VideoPsalm brings in OpenLP songs. Worship Tools imports from SongSelect and Loop Community.
These are import lists only: none of the pages we read promise an export into a rival's format, so test the way out as well as the way in. Copy twenty songs, including one with chords and one with a custom order, then see what survives, and note how long the whole move takes one volunteer. Keep a plain-text backup of lyrics, because a closed format makes later moves harder than any price rise.
Import twenty real songs and compare them with the originals
Look for an export route, not just import lists
Keep a plain-text copy of every lyric outside the program
Choosing a church presentation software vendor you can verify
Most vendors here say little about who they are. Only ProPresenter's Renewed Vision, LLC, MediaShout's phone number and Holyrics' Lima Giran Ltda. give anything to check, and Worship Tools states it is a SESAC Music Group company. OpenLP and OpenSong name volunteer or development teams, and SongBeamer credits two individuals.
For a volunteer project the risk is support: nobody is obliged to answer on a Sunday morning. For a company the risk is price and direction. Decide which risk your church can carry, then write down who you would contact if the screens go blank ten minutes before the service, and whether that person has ever answered a question for you.
Find a named contact or forum before you rely on it
Ask a paid vendor who owns the company
Keep an installer and licence key offline for emergencies
What goes wrong most often when buying church presentation software
Buying on Bible translation count without checking that the translations your readers use are included.
Comparing a one-off licence with a subscription on the first year alone and ignoring renewals.
Trusting an import list and discovering too late that no export route into another program exists.
Installing on the sound desk laptop only, leaving no second computer that has been tested with the files.

What is the best church presentation software in 2026?
OpenLP takes first place among the 12 we reviewed. OpenLP is developed by volunteers and names no company behind it, which makes it the most independent entry here.
It handles verse ordering, backing tracks, Bible search and PowerPoint or Impress files, and its remote apps cost nothing. No paid support desk is mentioned, so the volunteer team is the only help, and the licence name is missing too.

SongBeamer: One-off licence in three tiers by number of PCs, amounts published on the order page; updates for a year included.
MediaShout: Perpetual licences in site, essentials and complete bundles with amounts published; yearly support plans; 14-day trial.
Quelea: Costs nothing; the site calls it completely free and describes its licence as free.
Holyrics: The site says it is free, and shows no plans, prices or trial period.
Proclaim: Yearly subscription per church in three tiers, amounts published; monthly billing exists; 14-day trial.
The other 7 quote per organisation.

Who should not buy OpenLP?
Teams that need a vendor to call when Sunday breaks. Which licence covers the code is unstated, so a church with a licence policy must ask the project..
