Best Infographic Makers in 2026

Infographic makers turn numbers, process steps and short text into a single shareable graphic, and the products here range from poster editors to chart tools and science-figure libraries.

Prices are mostly published, but the export formats, credit lines and seat rules behind them differ. This guide ranks eleven on setup effort, real price, exit and independence.

Vendors can pay for more visibility on this website, for example a higher place in a ranking or more room on a page. Commercial relationships can also affect which products we feature and how prominently. Every vendor link is marked the same, whatever the arrangement behind it. How that works.

In short

What infographic makers software does

Infographic maker software provides templates, icons and chart objects in a browser editor so non-designers can combine data and text into one graphic exported as an image, PDF or embed.

How we ranked these

5 criteria, in order

Each infographic makers tool was put through the same five questions, in sequence: how hard is setup, what does it really cost, how does data come back out, can you leave, and who is it for. Top three places belong to challengers outside the best-known brands whenever possible, and incumbents follow from four. For why these five were chosen, and why nothing here gets a numeric score, see how we work.

#1 Venngage

Infographic-first template editor from a Canadian company, with published tiers

Ranked #1 of 11 in Best Infographic Makers in 2026.

Free tierPublished pricingNorth America

Venngage is built around the infographic, with separate makers for timelines, mind maps, white papers and graph layouts, and an accessibility checker that flags contrast problems.

The plan ladder is easy to read: five designs free, unlimited designs and PNG export on Premium, brand kits and team sharing on Business. AI credits are metered daily by plan. Editable PowerPoint and PDF files are the main reason to pay for the more expensive seat.

What stands out
  • Infographic templates
  • Brand kits
  • PDF and PPT export
Where it costs you
  • Anything beyond PNG, including PDF and PowerPoint export, needs the per-user Business plan.
  • Enterprise carries a ten-member minimum, which is a large step for small teams.
Right for

Marketing and HR teams making template-led infographics, reports and posters without a designer

Wrong for

Teams that want live-updating charts connected to a spreadsheet

CanadaFree plan; Premium and Business tiers published; Enterprise from a stated monthly floor

#2 Piktochart

Browser infographic and report editor with an unusually small free allowance

Ranked #2 of 11 in Best Infographic Makers in 2026.

Free tierPublished pricingElsewhere

Piktochart splits its offer into Free, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and discounted Education and Nonprofit tiers. Pro removes the download cap and adds premium templates and icons, Business adds PDF and PowerPoint downloads with a brand kit, and AI credits rise from 60 to 1,000 across the tiers.

Enterprise starts at 101 members with SAML sign-in and a one-off training hour. Annual billing lowers the per-member price noticeably.

What stands out
  • Reports and infographics
  • Per-member plans
  • SSO on Enterprise
Where it costs you
  • Two PNG downloads on the free plan make real use impossible without upgrading.
  • Head office and company country do not appear on the pages we could read.

Organisations needing a stated vendor location before purchase

#3 Vizzlo

Leipzig chart and business-graphic maker with PowerPoint and Slides add-ins

Ranked #3 of 11 in Best Infographic Makers in 2026.

Free tierPublished pricingEurope

Vizzlo works inside the slide deck as well as the browser, with a PowerPoint add-in, a Google Slides add-on and an AI chart assistant. Its gallery runs from standard bars to timelines, roadmaps and funnels.

Professional is a single-user monthly plan, Teams begins with five seats and adds roles, shared themes and templates, and the company says data is stored in a German data centre. Payment by bank transfer is listed for Enterprise.

What stands out
  • Business charts
  • PowerPoint add-in
  • German data centre
Where it costs you
  • The free account watermarks every chart, so nothing publishable is possible without paying.
  • The trial requires card details, and refunds are only offered in the first 24 hours.
Right for

Consultants and finance teams putting chart-based graphics straight into slide decks

Wrong for

Designers wanting illustrated posters or freeform page layouts

GermanyFree with watermark; Professional and Teams monthly, published; Enterprise quoted

#4 Datawrapper

Berlin chart, map and table tool that publishes embeds without a design layer

Ranked #4 of 11 in Best Infographic Makers in 2026.

Free tierSelf-hostablePublished pricingEurope

Datawrapper keeps to three outputs: charts, maps and tables. The free plan is more generous than most, since it publishes and embeds, but the credit line stays until Pro. Business adds waterfall and dual-axis charts, finer permissions and a year of edit history.

Enterprise brings self-hosting, SAML and uptime guarantees. An API bills creation, publishing and export operations by volume, with a free allowance included on the lowest level.

What stands out
  • Charts and maps
  • Embeds
  • Self-hosting on Enterprise
Where it costs you
  • Posters, icons and illustrated layouts are not part of the product.
  • A custom theme costs extra each month on top of the seat price.

Marketers wanting a poster canvas with stock icons and decoration

#5 Snappa

Small image editor where infographics are a size preset, not a speciality

Ranked #5 of 11 in Best Infographic Makers in 2026.

Free tierPublished pricingNorth America

The pricing page shows Free, Pro and Team, with Team covering five users and anything larger by contact. Pro and Team add unlimited downloads, social scheduling links, custom fonts and background removal.

The company states that every photo and graphic is royalty-free for commercial use without attribution. Infographic appears as a size preset and a use-case page, which makes it a layout canvas; data-driven visuals would be drawn elsewhere and imported.

What stands out
  • Single images
  • Social presets
  • Royalty-free library
Where it costs you
  • The free plan ends after three downloads a month, which is a trial, not a working tier.
  • Infographics are only a canvas size here, with no chart or map objects to bind data to.
Right for

Bloggers needing a tall image with text and icons, made quickly from a template

Wrong for

Analysts who need charts that update when their data changes

What stands out
  • Interactive charts
  • Live data
  • Part of Prezi
Where it costs you
  • No refunds are offered under the terms, including after an annual payment.
  • Each step up the ladder raises the project cap, so heavy users outgrow the lower tiers.

What stands out
  • Chart widgets
  • Live data import
  • Per-person plans
Where it costs you
  • Editable PowerPoint and HTML5 files need Business, at roughly twice the Starter price.
  • The free tier stores only 500 MB and treats charts and data widgets as limited.

Scientific figure and graphical abstract editor sold on academic and industry tiers

Ranked #10 of 11 in Best Infographic Makers in 2026.

Free tierPublished pricingElsewhere

Paid plans unlock unlimited figures, high-resolution exports without watermarks, editable export to PowerPoint and slide decks. Add-ons cover a graphing module per seat and AI-assisted figure generation. Leo, its AI figure assistant, is named on the pricing page.

What stands out
  • Scientific figures

How to choose infographic makers software

Infographic maker software provides templates, icons and chart objects in a browser editor so non-designers can combine data and text into one graphic exported as an image, PDF or embed. A feature table will not settle this choice. These steps will.

  1. 01

Decide whether you need a published price

Prices are public at 10 products (Venngage, Piktochart, Vizzlo, Datawrapper, Snappa, Infogram, Visme, Genially, Flourish, BioRender) and on request at the remaining 1, so budget time for quotes if your favourite is in that second group.

  2. 02

    Weigh the vendor's home jurisdiction

3 regions are represented (Europe 5, North America 3, Elsewhere 3). A vendor outside your own legal area is not a problem as such, but it changes who can compel it to hand over data.

Venngage, Piktochart and Visme sell the layout; Datawrapper and Infogram sell the data

Infographic makers split into two jobs that look alike in screenshots. Venngage, Piktochart and Visme start from a poster or report template and expect you to type the numbers in. Datawrapper, Infogram, Vizzlo and Flourish start from a dataset, and produce charts, maps and tables that you then embed or place in a layout.

BioRender and Mind the Graph serve a third reader, the research journal. Choosing a data tool for a one-page poster wastes the layout, while choosing a layout tool for a monthly report means retyping every figure. Write down how often the numbers change and who supplies them before opening a single trial.

  • Count how many times per year the underlying numbers change.
  • List who types them: the designer, an analyst or a spreadsheet.
  • Decide whether the output is a printed sheet or a live embed.

Export is where the free plans end: PNG, PDF and PowerPoint

Free plans in this market cap what leaves the tool. Piktochart allows two PNG downloads on Free, Snappa three downloads a month, and Venngage gives PNG only from Premium, with PDF and PowerPoint reserved for Business. Visme holds PowerPoint and HTML5 for Business too.

Genially keeps PDF, JPG and offline files for Pro, and Datawrapper keeps PDF and SVG for Pro. A buyer who finishes a design on Friday and discovers the export is locked pays the upgrade under time pressure. Check the downloads page of each plan against the files your printer, intranet or slide deck accepts before building anything you cannot move.

  • Name the file types your printer and slide deck accept.
  • Find the cheapest plan that exports all of them.
  • Save one finished sample from the free plan to test the output.

Credit lines, watermarks and embeds on free accounts

Several tools publish for nothing but mark the result. Vizzlo watermarks every chart on the free account. Datawrapper keeps its credit line on embeds until Pro, and Flourish shows attribution on the free plan and on Presenter, which comes only through a Canva Business or Enterprise subscription.

Infogram and Datawrapper both allow public embeds, so a chart can live on your own page, though a hosted chart disappears if the account lapses. Datawrapper lists self-hosting of published charts only on Enterprise, and Flourish lists HTML export from Publisher. If the graphic must stay online for years, ask about export of the standalone file.

  • Check whether embeds carry a credit line on your plan.
  • Ask what happens to published charts after cancellation.
  • Find the plan that exports a standalone file for self-hosting.

Seats and licences: per person, per team, academic or industry

Billing units differ more than list prices suggest. Piktochart and Venngage charge per member, Visme per person, Infogram has a flat Team plan for three to ten users, Vizzlo starts Teams at five seats, and Snappa's Team plan covers five.

BioRender is the unusual case: it publishes separate academic and industry tables, and the free plan bars commercial use, so the licence type matters as much as the seat count. Venngage Enterprise has a ten-member minimum, and Piktochart Enterprise begins at 101 members. Count the people who will edit, not view, and ask whether reviewers need paid seats too.

  • Count editors and reviewers separately.
  • Ask whether a team plan has a seat ceiling.
  • Confirm the licence covers commercial use if you are a company.

What goes wrong most often when buying infographic makers software

  • Buying a chart tool for poster work, or a poster tool for a report whose figures change each month.
  • Judging a free plan by the editor and not by the downloads it allows, which are often capped at a handful.
  • Publishing a chart with the vendor's credit line or watermark and finding out after the client has seen it.
  • Using an academic or free licence for company work when the terms reserve commercial use for a higher tier.
