Jotform vs Typeform
Jotform sells breadth and meters it on five counters: forms, submissions, views, upload space and stored entries. Typeform sells one form experience and meters it on responses and seats. Jotform is the cheaper way to run many forms for operations; Typeform is the premium choice for a marketing team that cares how a form feels to fill in.
Vendors can pay for visibility on this site; it never changes what we say about a product. How that works.
you need many forms for operations, intake and sign-off, want an established vendor with a free plan, and can forecast five separate limits.
a small marketing team owns a few high-visibility forms, completion rate matters more than cost per response, and the team stays within three or five seats.

What a plan actually limits
Jotform's Starter plan allows 5 active forms, 100 submissions a month and 500 stored entries, and every paid tier raises five counters at once. Typeform limits two things: responses per month (100 on Basic, 1,000 on Plus, 10,000 on Business) and users (1, 3 and 5). Typeform is easier to forecast. Jotform has more ways to hit a wall.

Price per unit of volume
At 1,000 submissions or responses a month, Jotform's published Bronze price is $39 and Typeform's Plus price is $79 on monthly billing. Both vendors discount yearly billing. At the higher end the gap holds: Jotform Gold lists 10,000 submissions for $129, Typeform Business lists 10,000 responses for $129 but only five users. Jotform gives more for the money on volume.

Seats and collaboration
Typeform caps users at one on Basic, three on Plus and five on Business, so a growing team forces an upgrade independently of response volume. The Jotform pricing page we read lists no per-seat counter for its tiers. A form owned by one person suits Typeform; forms edited by a wider operations team suit Jotform.

Regulated data
Jotform lists HIPAA availability from Gold upwards. Our category data puts HIPAA and single sign-on on Typeform's Enterprise plan, which has no published price, and we did not verify the current Enterprise terms. A healthcare buyer should confirm both in writing, and note that both vendors are headquartered outside the EU in our data: Jotform in the United States, Typeform in Spain.
Depends on the buyer
When neither fits
If the requirement is a form that costs nothing and ignores submission caps, the category has options built for that. Tally sits at the top of our form builder ranking, and Fillout is second. Neither makes you count five separate limits.
