Dialpad alternatives: 11 business phone systems compared

Searchers who leave Dialpad are mostly small and mid-size teams who bought Dialpad Connect for calls and then met a ladder of plans, add-ons and regional prices, or teams that want a phone system they can run or leave on their own terms. They move to another cloud phone system, to a flat-price or usage-based provider, or to a PBX they host themselves.

Short answer: The first three alternatives to Dialpad in our business phone system ranking are RingCentral, Nextiva and Zoom Phone. Places 1 to 3 go to challengers, vendors outside the best-known brands in a category, wherever the category has them; the established names follow from place 4 in their ranked order. Choose RingCentral if you want the same type of product from a different vendor and will compare quotes. All 11 alternatives below are ranked products from Best Business Phone Systems in 2026, and each says where it differs from Dialpad.

Vendors can pay for visibility on this site; it never changes what we say about a product. How that works.

Dialpad

#9 of 12 in our business phone system ranking

  • Pricing: Per user per month in two tiers plus Enterprise on contact, published; 14-day trial
  • Established in: United States
  • Built for: Teams that want AI call summaries and transcripts without a separate add-on
  • Not for: Organisations needing single sign-on without an enterprise contract

Why buyers look past Dialpad

  1. 01

The cheap tier stops before the features most offices need

Dialpad Connect lists Standard at $15 and Pro at $25 per user per month on its pricing page at the time of checking. CRM integrations, 24/7 support and multi-office management start at Pro, and single sign-on, access controls and unlimited office locations start at Enterprise, which is priced on contact. A team that needs one of those items pays for the next tier for every user.

  2. 02

Calls, contact centre and AI agents are separate price lists

Dialpad sells Connect, Support, Sell and Resolve as separate products. The Support contact-centre plans list $89, $119 and $149 per user per month, Sell lists $39, $59 and $79, and the AI agents are bought as a pool of credits that are used per billable conversation. A company that starts with phones and later adds a queue or an AI agent is not adding a feature, it is opening a second contract.

  3. 03

The price on the page is not always the price you pay

The pricing page offers USD, CAD, EUR, GBP, NZD and AUD, and its FAQ says the displayed price may differ from the actual price because of regional pricing and currency, with a custom quote from sales for your region. Buyers outside the United States cannot treat the sticker as a budget. Vendors that publish one price in one currency, or a flat annual licence, are easier to compare.

What each one does differently

RingCentral

United States · Per user per month with an annual discount; add-ons priced separately; 14-day trial

A like-for-like cloud phone system with a 14-day trial covering up to 20 phone lines. The plan prices were not readable on its page when we checked, so a per-seat comparison needs a quote. AI Receptionist (from $39) and Conversational Intelligence (from $60) are add-ons, whereas Dialpad Connect Standard already lists transcripts and call summaries.

Switch from Dialpad if you want the same type of product from a different vendor and will compare quotes.

Nextiva

United States · Per user per month in three small-business tiers, published; no trial stated

Three small-business tiers listed at $15, $25 and $75 per user per month, with the page showing higher struck-through prices for the first two. Core includes 100 business texts per user and 50 AI transcriptions a month, and the XBert AI employee costs $1.50 per conversation. It publishes no trial length. It is a phone and customer-experience bundle.

Switch from Dialpad if you want published per-seat tiers with texting and a basic CRM built in.

Nextiva, #8 of 12 in our business phone system ranking →

Zoom Phone

United States · Per user per month in three plans; trial only for existing Zoom Phone customers

Sold as Phone bundled with Zoom Workplace Basic, Pro or Business, billed annually or monthly, with unlimited or metered domestic calling and metered international calling. The Pro Plus and Business Plus bundles add video and chat. The only trial named is for the AI Receptionist, offered to existing Zoom Phone customers, so there is no plain phone trial.

Switch from Dialpad if your staff already use Zoom meetings and want one bundle and one admin console.

Zoom Phone, #12 of 12 in our business phone system ranking →

GoTo Connect

Not stated by the vendor · Quoted per organisation; demo and custom quote

Five packages: Phone System, Phone System with AI Receptionist, Customer Experience, CX Complete and Contact Center. No price, trial length or minimum is shown, so every figure comes from a sales conversation. The Phone System package lists free calls to 50 countries and 1,000 shared toll-free minutes. Dialpad Connect publishes its Standard and Pro prices.

Switch from Dialpad if you are happy to negotiate a quote and want international calling bundled in.

GoTo Connect, #10 of 12 in our business phone system ranking →

Quo (formerly OpenPhone)

United States · Per user per month in three tiers, published; 7-day trial

Quo, formerly OpenPhone, lists Starter, Business and Scale at $19, $33 and $47 per user per month, or $15, $23 and $35 on yearly billing, with a 7-day trial. Calling and texting are unlimited only to US and Canadian numbers, and extra numbers cost $5 each. Other countries are billed per minute, and US texting needs carrier registration.

Switch from Dialpad if you are a small US or Canadian team that lives on shared numbers and texting.

Quo (formerly OpenPhone), #4 of 12 in our business phone system ranking →

OnSIP

United States · Per user per month with a five-user minimum, or a per-account basic plan; add-ons published

Unlimited plan at $18.95 per user per month with a five-user minimum and free desk phones or headsets, or a Basic plan at $49.95 per account with calling billed at 3.2 cents a minute. Features such as ring groups ($14.95) and call recording ($4.95 per user) are priced one by one. Its page footer names Intrado as the parent.

Switch from Dialpad if you want a plain per-feature price list and a small-office voice system with hardware included.

OnSIP, #3 of 12 in our business phone system ranking →

Telzio

Not stated by the vendor · Usage-based with a custom plan from sales; trial arranged through sales

A usage-based phone service from Telzio, Inc. that advertises unlimited users and a free start. No per-user, per-minute or number price appeared on the page we could read, and a custom plan with all premium features comes from sales, with trials arranged through them. It states HIPAA compliance, which we have not tested. Dialpad lists seat prices instead.

Switch from Dialpad if your call volume is irregular and a usage-based bill suits you better than seats.

Telzio, #7 of 12 in our business phone system ranking →

CloudTalk

Slovakia · Per user per month in four tiers, published; 14-day trial

Per-user tiers listed at EUR 19 (Lite), 25 (Starter), 29 (Essential) and 49 (Expert) on annual billing, with Starter and Essential at EUR 34 and 39 monthly, and a 14-day trial. Expert needs at least three users. Its centre of gravity is outbound dialling and CRM logging (dialers, with call scoring sold as an add-on) rather than a general office phone. Billing address is in Bratislava, Slovakia.

Switch from Dialpad if your team makes sales or support calls and you want EUR pricing with a dialler.

CloudTalk, #2 of 12 in our business phone system ranking →

sipgate

Germany · Per user per month in three business tiers, published; 30-day trial

A German cloud phone system with business S, L and XL at EUR 12.95, 17.95 and 22.95 per user per month, a two-user minimum, prices excluding VAT, monthly cancellation and a 30-day trial. It says it is hosted in Germany. The L tier covers German landline calls, the XL tier EU networks.

Switch from Dialpad if most of your calls are within Germany or the EU and you want EUR pricing with local hosting.

sipgate, #1 of 12 in our business phone system ranking →

3CX

Cyprus · Annual licence per system by simultaneous calls, published; hosting charged separately; trial offered

Priced per system by simultaneous calls, not per user: an 8-call Basic licence lists at $300 a year and a 24-call Pro licence at $990. A free edition for up to 10 users and a one-month trial of PRO exist. You pay separately for hosting by 3CX or run it yourself, and 3CX sells through partners. With self-hosting, updates and uptime become your task.

Switch from Dialpad if you have many users but few simultaneous calls, or want to host the PBX yourself.

3CX, #5 of 12 in our business phone system ranking →

Wildix

Estonia · Quoted per organisation; monthly, yearly or five-year terms

Four subscription plans (PBX-Basic, UC-Essential, UC-Business, UC-Premium) that can be mixed within one system, with monthly, yearly or five-year terms. No prices are published, and the company lists offices in Estonia, the UK and the US. AI transcription and summaries start at UC-Business, and UC-Premium adds call-activity reporting.

Switch from Dialpad if you want to give different staff different plan levels and accept a quoted price.

04

When Dialpad is still the right choice

Dialpad Connect remains a sound choice for a team that wants calls, meetings and messaging in one app, with AI transcripts and call summaries already in the lowest listed tier, and that is content with USD or regional list prices. It also fits a company that expects to add a contact centre later and prefers one vendor for both. If you have no need for CRM integrations, 24/7 support or multiple offices, the $15 tier covers the basics. Staying is less attractive when a quote shows large regional differences or SSO is required.

05

What moving off Dialpad involves

  1. 01

Move the numbers before you cancel

Number porting is the step that decides how clean a switch is. sipgate says numbers can be taken along at no charge, CloudTalk and Quo both describe porting (Quo says its team does it for free), and OnSIP lists a fee of $15 per number plus $2 a month per number. Ask any new vendor for a porting date in writing, and keep the Dialpad contract until the numbers are confirmed live.

  2. 02

Check which devices and which tier carry over

Dialpad runs on desktop, mobile, tablets and desk phones. A system priced per simultaneous call such as 3CX, or one with hardware included such as OnSIP, changes what you buy for desk phones. Count the people who need CRM links, SSO or call recording, and look at which tier of the new vendor includes each of them before you compare seat prices.

Questions about replacing Dialpad

6 answers
How much does Dialpad Connect cost?

Its pricing page lists Standard at $15 and Pro at $25 per user per month, Enterprise on request, and a 14-day free trial, with a currency selector for USD, CAD, EUR, GBP, NZD and AUD. The page says actual prices may differ by region.

Which Dialpad Connect plan includes 24/7 support and CRM integrations?

According to the pricing page, Pro includes key CRM integrations, 24/7 customer support and multi-office management. Enterprise adds single sign-on, user access controls and unlimited office locations.

Is there a phone system I can host myself instead of Dialpad?

3CX sells licences that you can host yourself on Amazon, DigitalOcean, Azure or Google, or have hosted by 3CX for a separate annual charge. Its pricing is by simultaneous calls, not seats. A free edition for up to 10 users also exists.

Which alternatives publish per-user prices?

sipgate (EUR 12.95 to 22.95), CloudTalk (EUR 19 to 49 on annual billing), OnSIP ($18.95 with five users minimum), Quo ($15 to $47) and Nextiva ($15 to $75) all show seat prices on their pricing pages. GoTo Connect, Wildix and Telzio route pricing through sales.

Does Dialpad price its AI agents per user?

No. Its pricing page describes conversation-based pricing for the Resolve AI agents: you buy a pool of AI Agent Credits, and a conversation is billable only when the AI retrieves information or performs an action such as scheduling or routing.

Which alternatives suit a small office in Europe?

sipgate and CloudTalk list prices in euros and the two have European billing or hosting statements (Germany and Slovakia). Wildix lists an Estonian holding company. All three should still be tested for your country's numbers, since coverage differs by vendor.
