Teams look beyond Slido for three practical reasons: it now sits inside Webex, its price list did not show amounts when we read it, and the cost model (one-time, annual, education, enterprise) has to be matched to how often you present. The alternatives below range from small European vendors to game-style quiz tools and a plain single-poll service.
Short answer: The first three alternatives to Slido in our audience response software ranking are Vevox, Beekast and Wooclap. The first three places are kept for challengers when the category has enough of them; the best-known brands come after that, in ranked order. Choose Vevox if you need the same meeting add-ins from a UK-registered vendor. Each of the 11 alternatives sits in Best Audience Response Software in 2026 and is described against Slido.
Vendors can pay for more visibility on this website, for example a higher place in a ranking or more room on a page. Commercial relationships can also affect which products we feature and how prominently. Every vendor link is marked the same, whatever the arrangement behind it. How that works.
Pricing: Plan families named one-time, annual, education and enterprise; amounts were not read from the client-rendered pricing page
Established in: Not stated by the vendor
Built for: Meeting and conference hosts who mainly need Q&A and add a quiz round
Not for: Teachers wanting a question bank with graded results per student
01
Why buyers look past Slido
01
Ownership has moved inside Webex
The Slido home page ends with a Cisco Systems copyright line for 2026 and says Slido is now part of Webex. A buyer who chose Slido as a standalone supplier is therefore dealing with a business unit of a larger group. The terms of use and about-us pages returned errors when we tried them, and no country is stated on the pages we read.
02
The price list was not readable
The pricing page says it needs JavaScript and offers a quote on request, so the text we fetched carried no plan amounts. It names four families: one-time plans, annual plans, education plans and an enterprise tier by quote. The home page shows euro prices, including 15 EUR per month, without saying which plan that belongs to. Budgeting means opening the page in a browser or asking sales.
03
Plan families force a choice before a trial
Whether a free plan or trial exists is not stated on the pages we read. One-time plans suit a single conference, annual plans suit weekly meetings, and education sits apart. Teams with a mix of events and recurring all-hands have to decide which family fits before they can compare any rival's ladder line by line.

Auga Technologies Limited, an English company, runs Vevox. Its home page names Teams, PowerPoint, Zoom, Webex, Brightspace, Blackboard, Canvas and Moodle, with polling, Q&A, word cloud, surveys, anonymity and attendance tracking. Switch from Slido if you need the same meeting add-ins from a UK-registered vendor.
A Paris SAS that names no parent, Beekast publishes euro rates: a free tier with 30 participants per session and three sessions a month, then Plus at 21 EUR per licence monthly on annual billing, and Pro at 49 EUR with 100 participants per session. Beyond that sits a quoted Enterprise tier with SSO. Prices exclude tax.
Switch from Slido if you want clear euro licence prices and a French contracting party.
Wooclap SA has its registered office in Brussels and names no parent. The free Starter plan allows five questions a month; Basic lifts that cap and Pro brings AI-powered sessions, branding and moderator mode, all billed yearly excluding VAT. Corporate begins at six presenters with LMS links and SSO. The plan cards showed no amounts.
Switch from Slido if your audience is mostly students or trainees and you need LMS links.
DirectPoll GmbH in Zurich offers one thing: single- and multiple-choice polls for up to 500 concurrent voters, with no account and no app, using vote, result and cockpit links. You can mark correct answers and hide results while voting. Extending or renewing a poll costs extra, at a price shown only at purchase.
Switch from Slido if all you need is a quick poll without sign-ups.
Pigeonhole Live sorts its plans by crowd size. Starter holds 100 participants for nothing, Presenter takes 250 at $13 a month, and Standard takes 2,000 across three users with multi-track events and registration controls at $150 monthly or $1,800 yearly. Moderated Q&A is the centre of the product. The footer names PigeonLab Pte Ltd without a country.
Switch from Slido if audience questions at conferences matter more than polls.
AhaSlides lets up to 50 people join live on its free plan, with unlimited presentations, and the session carries on if more arrive. Paid plans are called Essential and Pro and switch between monthly and yearly billing; team plans save up to 20 percent. A refund within 14 days is void once a live event has run.
Switch from Slido if you present often to groups under 50 and want slide-style polls.
ClassPoint prices by students per class: 25 and three classes on the free Basic tier, 200 on Pro at $8 a month or $96 a year, and 500 on Premium, quoted. Pro adds all eight activity types and auto-graded quizzes; Premium brings live Q&A, webhooks and an annual SOC 2 Type 2 report. The pages describe classrooms.
Switch from Slido if your Slido use is mostly teaching, not conferences.
Crowdpurr publishes six USD tiers, from the free Basic plan (20 participants, with Crowdpurr logos and sponsor ads) through Classroom at $49.99 a month to Conference at $249.99 and larger Convention and Stadium plans. Participants run up to 5,000 on Convention. Custom domain URLs begin at Conference. No country is stated.
Switch from Slido if you want a price you can read off a table for a given crowd.
Mentimeter AB is a Swedish limited company that charges per presenter, not per room. Basic costs $11.99 per presenter per month billed yearly, Pro $24.99 with themes, collaboration and Quick Forms, and Enterprise adds SSO and SCIM. The free plan lists 50 participants a month, though the same page also says unlimited once a month.
Switch from Slido if one or two presenters carry all your sessions.
Kahoot sells licences per presenter, with participants unlicensed. In USD billed yearly, Pro Start costs $9 a month for 50 participants, Pro Standard $25 for 200 and Pro Plus $39 for 1,000, with Pro Ultra reaching 5,000. A free Express plan runs 15-minute sessions for 15 people, and a seven-day Pro trial exists.
Switch from Slido if you want quiz-style energy in the room and a trial before paying.
Sendsteps presents a Learning Loop platform for education and training on its Dutch home page, with live lessons, presentations, surveys and a separate research-survey product. It goes wider than audience response, and the pricing page rendered client-side, so no plan amounts were read. No country is given. A start button and a demo are offered.
Switch from Slido if you want lessons and surveys around the live session.
You want a contracting party that is not part of a larger group
Beekast: Beekast is a Paris SAS that names no parent company, and its euro prices are published: Plus at 21 EUR per licence a month on annual billing, Pro at 49 EUR. Sessions top out at 100 participants before Enterprise.
02
You run webinars from Teams, Zoom or Webex
Vevox: Vevox's home page names Teams, PowerPoint, Zoom, Webex and four learning platforms. Auga Technologies is an English company, and a full refund is open for 30 days after purchase.
03
You need one quick poll and nothing else
Direct Poll: DirectPoll is a Zurich company whose polls run without an account for up to 500 concurrent voters on their own phones. Extending a running poll is the only paid step you are likely to meet.
04
You host a conference where questions matter most
Pigeonhole Live: Pigeonhole Live Standard covers 2,000 participants and three users with multi-track events, at $150 monthly or $1,800 yearly. Moderated Q&A is the core of the product.
05
You teach and need links to a learning platform
Wooclap: Wooclap SA is registered in Brussels, and its Corporate plan, from six presenters, adds LMS integrations and SSO. Amounts were not shown on the plan cards we read.
04
When Slido is still the right choice
Slido remains a sound choice when your meetings already run on Webex, Teams, Zoom or PowerPoint, because those are the integrations it names, and when you want polls, audience questions, word clouds, idea boards, quizzes, surveys and analytics from one supplier. Participants join without a login or download. If you only dislike the corporate ownership, weigh that against the work of retraining presenters.
05
What moving off Slido involves
01
Add-ins and join codes change
Presenters who run Slido from a PowerPoint, Teams or Zoom add-in will need the replacement's add-in or a browser tab, and attendees will see a new join code. Vevox is the one among our alternatives whose home page names Teams, PowerPoint, Zoom and Webex together; check each other tool's integration list for the meeting software you actually use.
02
Take your analytics before cancelling
Past questions, poll results and popular topics live inside the Slido account, and we could not read what the export covers. Save the reports you need for audit or board packs first, then close the account, because many alternatives start with an empty history.

Questions about replacing Slido
6 answers
What does Slido cost?
The pricing page we read needs JavaScript and showed no amounts. It names one-time plans, annual plans, education plans and an enterprise tier by quote, and the home page shows euro prices including 15 EUR per month. Confirm figures live before you compare.
Is Slido owned by Cisco?
The page footer reads Cisco Systems, Inc. for 2026 and states that Slido is now part of Webex. Whether a particular contract is signed with a Cisco entity is something to check in the order form, since the terms page returned an error for us.
Which alternatives have a free plan?
Beekast offers 30 participants per session, Pigeonhole Live Starter 100 participants, AhaSlides 50 live participants, Crowdpurr Basic 20 participants with ads, ClassPoint 25 students per class, and Mentimeter 50 participants a month.
Wooclap Starter stops at five questions a month, and Kahoot Express runs 15-minute sessions for 15 people.
Which alternatives are based in Europe?
Beekast is registered in Paris, Wooclap in Brussels, DirectPoll in Zurich, Mentimeter AB in Sweden and Vevox's operator, Auga Technologies, in England. For Pigeonhole Live, Crowdpurr, AhaSlides, ClassPoint, Kahoot and Sendsteps the pages we read state no country.
Is there a pay-per-event option?
Slido lists one-time plans, and Vevox has a One Time Event Plans page, though neither showed amounts in our read. DirectPoll sells extensions for a running poll at a price shown at purchase, which can suit a single occasion.
What suits an audience of several thousand?
Pigeonhole Live Standard lists 2,000 participants, Crowdpurr Convention 5,000 and Kahoot Pro Ultra 5,000, whereas Beekast stops at 100 per session before Enterprise. Ask each vendor whether large sessions need onboarding, as Kahoot says Ultra does.
