Video interviewing software lets employers collect recorded answers from applicants or hold live remote interviews, then review and score them as a team.
Prices run from a few tens of euros a month to quote-only enterprise contracts. This guide ranks eleven products on set-up effort, real price, exit, independence and fit, with challengers first.
Vendor money can buy visibility on this page and nothing else. No entry is softened, criticism is kept, and a click on a vendor link brings us no revenue. How that works.
In short
What video interviewing software does
Video interviewing software invites applicants to record answers to set questions or join a live remote interview, and stores recordings, notes and ratings so recruiters can compare candidates.
Every video interviewing tool was judged on five points in a fixed order: setup effort, cost in practice, how data is exported, how easily you can leave, and the buyer it was designed for. The ranking then gives places 1 to 3 to challengers outside the best-known brands, if the category has such vendors, and the incumbents follow. We explain on how we work why the tests are these five and why no product receives a score.

Setup is short: candidates need no app, login or registration, invitations go out by link, bulk CSV or email, SMS and WhatsApp, and eleven ATS connectors include Teamtailor, Recruitee and Greenhouse.
The first month is a trial, then the band price applies. On exit, interview videos can be downloaded, responses exported in bulk, and automatic candidate video deletion is a listed setting. Hosting sits with a Barcelona company, governed by Spanish law.

Video interviewing software invites applicants to record answers to set questions or join a live remote interview, and stores recordings, notes and ratings so recruiters can compare candidates. What separates these products is rarely a feature. Work through the steps below.
01
Start with pricing transparency
Only 6 of the 11 print a price; 5 quote per organisation. Comparable without a sales call: Hireflix, Hirevire, Willo, Cammio, Interviewer.AI, Spark Hire.
02
Decide how much the jurisdiction matters
The 11 companies behind this list are established in 7 countries, by region North America 5, Europe 4, Asia-Pacific 2. Disclosure obligations attach to the company, so they travel with the vendor even when the servers stay at home.
How video interviewing software is priced: headcount, role or quote
Video interviewing software splits into three buying routes. Hireflix prices by company headcount band, Hirevire by the number of open roles and yearly interviews, and Willo by live role, with Spark Hire and Cammio showing only a starting rate. HireVue, Jobma, VidCruiter, Talview and Harver show no figure, so the first step is a sales call.
A published price is not automatically cheaper, because limits move the bill: Hirevire counts interviews per year, Interviewer.AI counts credits, and Spark Hire ties tiers to company size. Ask each vendor what happens at your own volume in a busy month, including how many candidates one vacancy may attract and whether a seat, a role or an interview is the billed unit.
Write down expected applicants per vacancy before asking for prices.
Ask which unit is billed: seat, role, credit, interview or hire.
Request the price at twice your expected volume.
One-way, live or AI-run: which interview format you really need
The tools in this list do three different things. Hireflix, Hirevire and Cammio concentrate on recorded one-way answers, while Spark Hire, Jobma, VidCruiter and HireVue add live interviews. Interviewer.AI and Jobma also run AI interviewers that ask follow-up questions, and HireVue scores AI interviews with third-party audits.
Pick the format before the vendor: a recorded round replaces phone screens for volume roles, but panel interviews need calendars and shared scorecards. Check what the vendor says about scoring too. Harver states it applies no facial or micro-expression analysis, and Jobma says its AI never makes hiring decisions. Your own policy and the local rules where you hire decide what you may switch on, so ask early.
Decide whether recorded answers replace phone screens or add a round.
Ask whether any score is computed, and from which inputs.
Confirm that a human reviews every rejection.
Integrations, retention and exports: the exit side of a contract
Recordings are candidate data, so check how long they live and how they leave. Hirevire stores video for 90 days unless an add-on extends it, Spark Hire marks interview downloads as annual only, and Hireflix lists bulk CSV exports, video downloads and automatic candidate video deletion.
Willo's Lite plan connects through Zapier and Integrately while native ATS links belong to Enterprise, and Interviewer.AI lists ATS integrations and advanced export under Enterprise. Cammio's licence renews on its own unless three months' notice is given. Before signing, test an export of a pilot interview and read the renewal clause, since the cost of leaving usually appears in terms rather than on the pricing page.
Export one pilot interview and check the file format.
Read the renewal and notice clause before signing.
Ask where integrations sit: base plan or higher tier.
Where candidate data sits and who signs the contract
Video interviews hold faces, voices and answers, so the contracting entity and storage region matter. Cammio says all data centres are in the EU, Willo says personal data is mainly hosted in the EU, and VidCruiter offers servers in the United States, EU, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.
Hirevire's own policy names Cloudflare and a Vienna video host, and Interviewer.AI lists data residency flexibility under Enterprise only. HireVue lists FedRAMP and SOC 2 Type 2, and Spark Hire lets you request its SOC 2 Type II audit. Ask for the subprocessor list, the retention default per country, and the deletion route for a candidate who asks to be removed, before the pilot starts.
Ask for the subprocessor list and storage region.
Check the default retention period against your policy.
Confirm how a single candidate's recording is deleted.
What goes wrong most often when buying video interviewing software
Choosing a live-interview suite when recorded one-way screening would have removed the phone-screen bottleneck at a fraction of the cost.
Comparing entry prices without checking the cap on jobs, users, interviews or credits that sits behind them.
Switching on AI scoring without agreeing who reviews rejected candidates and which inputs the score reads.
Signing a renewing contract without testing a data export or reading the notice period first.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best video interviewing software in 2026?
Our ranking of 11 puts Hireflix first. Hireflix sells one product at two published prices, split only by company headcount: under 50 staff or 50 to 250. Seats, positions and interview responses are unlimited in both.
The catch is scope: the feature list covers recorded interviews and review, with no live interview room and no automated candidate scoring. Agencies and larger employers leave the price list and negotiate.
Which video interviewing tools publish their pricing?
6 of the 11, with the pricing model each one publishes:
Hireflix: Published yearly-billed plans by company size; one-month trial; custom rates above 250 staff.
Hirevire: Published monthly, quarterly and yearly plans by open roles; 7-day trial without a card.
Willo: Published per live role without contract; annual Enterprise from a stated base price.
Cammio: Published starting rate per month; ATS links and single sign-on quoted as add-ons.
Interviewer.AI: Published monthly or yearly editions with interview credits; 14-day trial; Enterprise on request.
Spark Hire: Published starting rates for monthly or annual terms; scaled by company size.
Everything else on the list is priced on request.
Is there a free video interviewing tool?
No, every product on this page is paid.
Where are these video interviewing software vendors established?
In 7 countries across 3 regions: North America 5, Europe 4, Asia-Pacific 2.
Hireflix: Spain.
Hirevire: India.
Willo: United Kingdom.
Cammio: Netherlands.
Interviewer.AI: Singapore.
Jobma: United States.
Spark Hire: United States.
VidCruiter: Canada.
Talview: United States.
Harver: Netherlands.
HireVue: United States.
What should you use instead of Hireflix?
Look at Hirevire (made for Solo recruiters and small agencies screening a few roles at the lowest listed price) and Willo (made for Occasional hirers who want to pay per open role and skip an annual commitment), which hold places two and three.
Who should not buy Hireflix?
Teams that need live panel rooms or algorithmic ranking of candidates. Price depends on headcount band, and organisations above 250 staff or agencies move to custom rates.
