Avoma vs Jiminny

Avoma and Jiminny both record sales calls, but they charge for it in opposite ways. Avoma publishes a price per recorder seat, lets viewers and collaborators in for nothing, and sells conversation intelligence as a separate add-on. Jiminny gives no public price, quotes per organisation on three seat types, and includes recording, transcription and AI with no platform fee. Avoma is a California-governed company, while Jiminny's controller address is in London. The 14-day trials are the one thing they share.

Vendors can pay for more visibility on this website, for example a higher place in a ranking or more room on a page. Commercial relationships can also affect which products we feature and how prominently. Every vendor link is marked the same, whatever the arrangement behind it. How that works.

Where they differ

Avoma 2 · Jiminny 2 · open 2
  1. 01

Nineteen, twenty-four or thirty-nine per recorder

Avoma lists Startup at 19 per month on annual billing (29 monthly), Organization at 24 annual (39 monthly) and Enterprise at 39 annual only. Those are per recorder seat, and viewers are always free. Jiminny publishes no figure on the pages we read and quotes per team after a conversation. For a buyer who wants to compare totals before booking a call, Avoma is the one whose total you can estimate alone, with a calculator.

    Edge: Avoma

  2. 02

Three seat types without a platform fee

Jiminny bases its quote on Recording, Insights and Listener seats, and states there is no platform fee, only a one-time setup fee. Recording, transcription and AI are included, with no usage credits. Avoma counts only people who record or transcribe, so readers cost nothing, but the three add-ons carry further per-seat charges of 19 to 35. Jiminny keeps the bill to one quote, while Avoma's total depends on which add-ons you switch on.

    Edge: Jiminny

  3. 03

    Call scoring that costs extra

At Avoma, Conversation Intelligence covers AI coaching recommendations, call scoring and trackers, and it is a separate per-seat add-on. The Organization plan lists only a limited version. Revenue Intelligence and Lead Router are also add-ons. Jiminny's pricing page puts AI inside the quote, though its own verdict notes that deal and pipeline analysis is shallower than at enterprise rivals. Avoma offers more modules, but you pay for each one separately.

    Depends on the buyer

  4. 04

Fourteen days of trial, with different terms

Both vendors offer a 14-day trial. Avoma's covers the Organization plan with all add-ons and needs no card. Jiminny says the full product can be tried free for 14 days, also without a credit card. The difference arrives afterwards: Jiminny sets a minimum contract of 12 months, billed monthly or annually at a discount, and Enterprise at Avoma needs at least 10 paid seats. Neither commits you during the trial itself.

    Depends on the buyer

  5. 05

    Enterprise minimums and contract floors

Avoma's Enterprise plan is billed annually only and requires a minimum of 10 paid seats, while Startup and Organization have monthly prices for smaller teams. Jiminny applies one floor to everyone, a 12-month minimum contract, with the one-time setup fee on top. A team of six that wants to leave after a quarter is better placed with Avoma's monthly pricing. A team that already knows it will stay will not mind Jiminny's floor.

  6. 06

Where the company sits and what it states

Avoma, Inc. applies California law in its terms and says it was founded in Palo Alto, and its privacy policy cites the Data Privacy Framework for EU, UK and Swiss users. Jiminny's privacy policy names Jiminny Holdings Limited, 100 Fenchurch Street, London as controller, and the pricing page says it maintains SOC 2 Type II compliance. For a buyer who prefers a United Kingdom counterpart, Jiminny fits better.

Avoma or Jiminny: questions

3 answers
Do Avoma viewers count toward the seat bill?

No: according to Avoma's pricing, viewers and collaborators cost nothing, and only people whose meetings are recorded take a paid seat. That keeps the cost tied to the reps. The add-ons are still charged per seat on top.

Is Jiminny cheaper because it has no platform fee?

Jiminny shows no figure in our notes, so a fair cost comparison is impossible. The vendor states there is only a one-time setup fee and that recording, transcription and AI are inside the quote. The 12-month minimum contract still applies.

Can both tools be tried without entering a card?

Both vendors describe a two-week trial that asks for no payment card at signup. Avoma's trial runs on the Organization plan with all add-ons. Jiminny's covers the full product.
