ZeroBounce alternatives: 11 email verification tools compared

People look past ZeroBounce for three reasons: a bundle priced for more than verification, credit expiry rules that depend on subscription status, and a United States supplier with no stated hosting location. The alternatives below range from plain verifiers with euro prices to API-first checkers and a finder.

Short answer: We open the ranking with smaller vendors and put the established brands from fourth place onward. For ZeroBounce users, the top three picks from our email verification software ranking are EmailListVerify, Bouncer and MillionVerifier. Pick EmailListVerify if you want a euro invoice from an EU company and a list cleaned without any suite attached. Each of the 11 alternatives sits in Best Email Verification Software in 2026 and is described against ZeroBounce.

Vendors can pay for more visibility on this website, for example a higher place in a ranking or more room on a page. Commercial relationships can also affect which products we feature and how prominently. Every vendor link is marked the same, whatever the arrangement behind it. How that works.

ZeroBounce

#8 of 14 in our email verification software ranking

  • Pricing: Free tier with monthly credits; pay-as-you-go and subscription, published
  • Established in: United States
  • Built for: Marketers who want verification, warmup and monitoring from one account.
  • Not for: Buyers who need only a one-off list clean at lowest cost.
01

Why buyers look past ZeroBounce

  1. 01

Credit rules change with the type of purchase

ZeroBounce credits never expire while a ZeroBounce ONE subscription is active. For customers who registered after 1 June 2026, credits bought outside a subscription expire two years after the latest purchase, and credits left after a subscription ends lapse two years after its last day. Prepayments are non-refundable. A team that buys once a year should read section 10 of the terms before choosing.

  2. 02

The subscription starts at 10,000 credits and carries the suite

ZeroBounce ONE costs $99 a month (20 per cent less billed annually) with a minimum of 10,000 credits, and bundles warmup, inbox tests, blacklist monitoring and a DMARC monitor. Pay as You Go starts at $39 for 2,000 addresses. Someone who only cleans a list before each campaign pays for tools around the check that they may never open.

  3. 03

The free tier is narrow and the company is hard to place

The Freemium plan gives 100 validation credits a month and leaves out warmup, activity data and DMARC monitoring; the pricing page ties the 100 free monthly verifications to business or premium domains. The home page names three data centres without saying where, and shows US and UK phone numbers but no address, which matters for a data-processing review.

What each one does differently

EmailListVerify

Slovakia · Published

EmailListVerify is run from Slovakia and prints its prices in euros: €27 once for 10,000 credits, or €25 a month for the same volume on a plan. The minimum purchase is 1,000 credits, pay-as-you-go credits stay valid until used and registration brings 100 free verifications. The pricing page describes verification only, with no warmup or monitoring beside it.

Switch from ZeroBounce if you want a euro invoice from an EU company and a list cleaned without any suite attached.

Bouncer

Poland · Published

Bouncer, from Poland, lists packs in dollars from 1,000 credits at $8 up to a million at $2,000, and states that the service is hosted in the EU. Credits never expire, duplicates and unknown results are not charged, and 100 credits come free without a card. Its Deliverability Kit starts at $25 a month, billed apart from verification credits.

Switch from ZeroBounce if EU hosting and non-expiring credits matter and you want testing tools as a separate, optional purchase.

MillionVerifier

Hungary · Published

MillionVerifier, a Hungarian company, puts its volume price on the homepage and lets credits stand indefinitely. It also offers a refund on risky addresses it cannot settle and gives 100 credits to try. The integrations list is long, while finder, warmup and monitoring tools are absent from the product.

Switch from ZeroBounce if cost per checked address is the deciding number and the list is large.

Byteplant

Germany · See profile

Byteplant is a data-quality firm in Germany whose email validator handles bulk lists and a real-time API from one credit balance. Credits do not expire, unused monthly credits roll over, 1,000 checks are free to try and a thirty-day money-back guarantee is stated. Prices appear only inside a calculator on the page.

Switch from ZeroBounce if a German supplier and one balance for both list cleaning and API calls count for more than a quick price comparison.

Verifalia

Italy · Published

Verifalia from Italy gives every account a free daily allowance: 25 credits on the free plan, 250 on Starter, up to 25,000 on Ultimate. Daily credits lapse at midnight GMT, but purchased packs do not expire. Standard checks cost one credit, Extreme four. Open-source SDKs cover several languages, and plan prices were not readable on the page we read.

Switch from ZeroBounce if you verify a trickle every day and a monthly free allowance is too coarse.

DeBounce

Not stated by the vendor · Published

DeBounce sells credits without a subscription and quotes a rate per validation that falls as volume rises. Credits never expire, 100 are free on sign-up, and every customer gets every feature. Catch-all validation costs ten credits and enrichment twenty. The legal pages do not name where the company is based, so a procurement check needs an email to them.

Switch from ZeroBounce if you want pay-as-you-go credits with no plan tiers and can accept an unstated company location.

Emailable

United States · Published

Emailable counts one credit per verification whether it comes from bulk upload, the single checker, the API or the widget. Packs start at 5,000 credits that never expire, and automatic monthly reloads save 15 per cent. Features are the same at every volume, 250 trial credits are given, and it is a US company.

Switch from ZeroBounce if you value one credit scale across every entry point and a larger trial than ZeroBounce's monthly 100.

Email Hippo

United Kingdom · Published

Email Hippo of the United Kingdom splits the work into CORE for bulk cleaning, MORE for real-time validation, INSIGHT for enrichment and ASSESS for fraud scoring. Each has its own monthly subscription, and CORE can be bought per check without charge for duplicates. A trial of 100 checks is offered. Needing bulk and real-time together means two subscriptions.

Switch from ZeroBounce if you want separately priced products for bulk, real-time and fraud scoring from a UK company.

MailerCheck

United States · Published

MailerCheck charges one flat published rate per verified address, with a 1,000-credit minimum and no expiry. Insights and inbox placement tests take 200 credits each from the same balance, so testing is possible without another contract. A new account receives only 10 credits, which is thin for judging accuracy on a real list.

Switch from ZeroBounce if a flat rate with a few extra tests on one balance is enough and you will buy credits before judging.

Abstract API

United States · Published

Abstract API returns format, MX, SMTP, disposable and catch-all results as one JSON response per request. The free plan allows 100 requests, paid plans are billed annually, and every plan is capped at three requests a second. That makes it a validation call for a sign-up form, not a way to clean an exported list in one sitting.

Switch from ZeroBounce if you only need address checks inside your own product through an API.

Hunter

United States · Published

Hunter finds professional addresses first and treats verification as a side feature at half a credit per address, drawing on the same pool as searches. The free plan gives 50 credits a month, paid plans 2,000 to 25,000, and team members are unlimited. Per address it costs more than dedicated verifiers, and finding competes for the balance.

Switch from ZeroBounce if your use of ZeroBounce is mostly its finder and sales prospecting, not list cleaning.

When ZeroBounce is still the right choice

ZeroBounce remains the better choice when verification is only one task among several. Its home page lists 99.6 per cent accuracy, catch-all validation, AI scoring from 1 to 10, an email finder, warmup, inbox placement tests, monitoring of 200+ blacklists, a DMARC monitor and more than 40 integrations including HubSpot, Salesforce and Klaviyo. It also lists SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 and states that unknown results and duplicates cost nothing. If you already use its warmup and monitoring, replacing the verifier alone splits your deliverability data across two vendors.

05

What moving off ZeroBounce involves

  1. 01

Check which ZeroBounce tools you open

List whether you use verification only or also warmup, placement tests, blacklist alerts, the DMARC monitor and the finder. Each one in use needs a replacement or a deliberate decision to drop it.

  2. 02

Spend or export the remaining credits first

Look at your account for credit balances and the date the terms say they lapse. Download results of past validations and any activity data before cancelling a ONE subscription, and note that credit purchases are non-refundable.

  3. 03

Rerun a sample list before switching integrations

Send the same few thousand addresses through the new service and compare the verdicts, especially the catch-all and unknown groups. Then repoint the HubSpot, Salesforce or API connection and keep the old key live for a short overlap.

Questions about replacing ZeroBounce

7 answers
Which tool is the best alternative to ZeroBounce for email verification?

EmailListVerify tops our list of ZeroBounce alternatives for a team that only needs the checking: the Slovak vendor publishes euro prices, €27 for 10,000 credits once or €25 a month on a plan, with 100 free verifications.

Bouncer, MillionVerifier and Byteplant follow in the list above.

Is there a ZeroBounce alternative hosted in the EU?

Bouncer states in its footer that it is hosted in the EU, and Byteplant is a German company. ZeroBounce names three data centres without locations, so ask it for that in writing if it matters to you.

Do ZeroBounce credits expire?

Not while a ZeroBounce ONE subscription is active. Otherwise, for accounts registered after 1 June 2026, they expire two years after the latest purchase. Bouncer, EmailListVerify, DeBounce, Emailable and MailerCheck describe credits that do not expire.

What is a cheaper alternative to ZeroBounce for cleaning one large list?

MillionVerifier publishes its pricing for a million verifications on the homepage, and Bouncer lists $2,000 for a million credits. ZeroBounce's pay-as-you-go per-credit rate is not on the pricing page we read, so request a quote for your volume before comparing.

Which ZeroBounce alternative has an email finder?

Hunter is built around finding professional addresses, with verification at half a credit. ZeroBounce charges 20 credits per successful finder query and includes 10 finder credits on the free tier.

Which alternative works as an API inside my own product?

Abstract API returns one JSON result per request with a free plan of 100 requests and a limit of three requests per second. Email Hippo MORE is the dedicated real-time product, and Byteplant uses one credit balance for bulk and API.

Can I try a ZeroBounce alternative without paying?

Yes. EmailListVerify, Bouncer, MillionVerifier and DeBounce each give 100 credits, Emailable 250, Byteplant 1,000 checks and Email Hippo 100 checks. MailerCheck gives only 10, and Verifalia gives a daily allowance of 25 credits.
