Sprinklr alternatives: 12 social media management tools compared

The typical searcher is a marketing or social lead who has seen Sprinklr's enterprise social suite and finds the sales-led buying process and the scale of the platform more than a publishing, inbox and reporting job needs. They move to a published-price social tool with per-seat or per-profile plans, to an agency-oriented tool with unlimited users, or to a lighter scheduler.

Short answer: The first three alternatives to Sprinklr in our social media management ranking are Sprout Social, Hootsuite and Agorapulse. Places 1 to 3 go to challengers, vendors outside the best-known brands in a category, wherever the category has them; the established names follow from place 4 in their ranked order. Choose Sprout Social if you want an enterprise-style suite with prices on the page and a 30-day trial. All 12 alternatives below are ranked products from Best Social Media Management Tools in 2026, and each says where it differs from Sprinklr.

Vendors can pay for visibility on this site; it never changes what we say about a product. How that works.

Sprinklr

#14 of 16 in our social media management ranking

  • Pricing: Quoted per organisation
  • Established in: United States
  • Built for: A multinational running social as a customer service channel
  • Not for: Anything smaller than an enterprise
01

Why buyers look past Sprinklr

  1. 01

Pricing starts with a sales conversation

Sprinklr's demo page is titled Get Pricing & Personalized Demo, and its social product page offers Talk to an expert as the main action. On the pages we checked there is no price list and no self-serve trial. Sprout Social, Agorapulse, Loomly and Iconosquare all print plan prices, so a buyer can compare a budget before speaking to anyone.

  2. 02

Listening and ads sit in other suites

Sprinklr describes four product suites: Service, Social, Insights and Marketing. On its social page, listening is attributed to Sprinklr Insights and ad management to Sprinklr Marketing. A team that wants publishing, a unified inbox and listening should expect a scoping exercise across suites. Vista Social, by contrast, prices listening across social, web and news from USD 75 a month.

  3. 03

    Governance built for global brands

The product page lists granular access controls, audit trails and automated approval workflows, and its customer examples include Shell managing 100+ social accounts. That is a fit for many brands, regions and approvers. For a team of five posting to a handful of profiles, much of this goes unused (our inference), while Loomly and Planable offer approval flows at a small-business price.

What each one does differently

Sprout Social

United States · Per user per month, published; from $79 per seat on annual billing

The nearest published-price step down. Plans are per seat per month on annual billing: Standard USD 199, Professional USD 299, Advanced USD 399, with a 30-day trial. Enterprise is custom. Standard covers 5 social profiles, so costs rise with every seat, which a large team will feel.

Switch from Sprinklr if you want an enterprise-style suite with prices on the page and a 30-day trial.

Sprout Social, #12 of 16 in our social media management ranking →

Hootsuite

Canada · Per user per month, published; from $99 on annual billing

Per-user plans (Standard, Professional, Advanced) with a free 14-day trial, and a custom Enterprise tier with single sign-on. Standard manages up to 10 accounts, Professional unlimited accounts, and approvals start at Advanced. We could not read the price figures, which load client-side.

Switch from Sprinklr if you need unlimited accounts and approvals but would rather buy by seat than by contract.

Hootsuite, #13 of 16 in our social media management ranking →

Agorapulse

France · Free tier; paid per user per month, published

Per user per month: Standard USD 79, Professional USD 119, Advanced USD 149 on annual billing, each with 10 social profiles, extra profiles at USD 10 a month. A 30-day trial needs no card. Unlimited profiles, SSO and custom roles sit only in the custom plan.

Switch from Sprinklr if a small team wants a shared inbox and reports with a month to test.

Agorapulse, #10 of 16 in our social media management ranking →

Sendible

United Kingdom · Per month by plan, published; unlimited users on all plans

Built around client workspaces: each holds 6 social profiles, and every plan includes unlimited users, so growing the team adds no seat fees. A 14-day trial needs no card. Approvals and assignment begin above the Core plan. Enterprise-scale listening and service tools are not part of it.

Switch from Sprinklr if you are an agency or multi-brand team and want to avoid per-seat pricing.

Sendible, #8 of 16 in our social media management ranking →

Vista Social

United States · Per month by plan, published, from $99; listening and employee advocacy priced as add-ons; 14-day trial

Plans by social profiles and users (Professional: 15 profiles, 2 users; Advanced: 30 profiles, 3 users) with a 14-day trial. Listening across social, web and news starts at USD 75 a month, and employee advocacy at USD 199 a month for 25 employees. Those are add-ons, not base features.

Switch from Sprinklr if you use Sprinklr for listening and advocacy and want those priced separately.

Vista Social, #3 of 16 in our social media management ranking →

Planable

Romania · First 50 posts free with no time limit; paid per workspace per month, published; unlimited users

Priced per workspace, not per seat: Basic from USD 33 and Pro from USD 49 per workspace per month, with unlimited users and the first 50 posts free. Analytics (USD 12), social inbox (USD 7.50) and listening (USD 82.50) are paid add-ons per workspace. Its focus is approval and collaboration.

Switch from Sprinklr if content review with clients or many approvers is the main job.

Planable, #2 of 16 in our social media management ranking →

Loomly

United States · Per month by plan, published

Two published plans: Starter at USD 49 a month on annual billing (12 social accounts, 3 users) and Beyond at USD 249 (60 accounts, unlimited users). Approval workflows are in both. The Enterprise plan for 61+ accounts is custom priced. It centres on planning and approval, not enterprise service.

Switch from Sprinklr if you want approval workflows for a mid-sized team with fixed monthly prices.

Loomly, #7 of 16 in our social media management ranking →

Iconosquare

France · Free plan; paid per month by plan, published

Analytics-first, from a Free plan (2 profiles, 1 user, 10 posts a month per profile) through Starter from EUR 9, Launch from EUR 33 and Scale from EUR 69 a month on annual billing, with 14-day trials. Scale allows 20 profiles and 3 users. It does not replace Sprinklr's service or advocacy tools.

Switch from Sprinklr if reporting on a few profiles matters more than enterprise workflow.

Iconosquare, #9 of 16 in our social media management ranking →

Metricool

Spain · Free tier; paid per month by number of brands, published

Priced by number of brands: a Free plan (1 brand, 20 scheduled posts a month), Starter from EUR 16 a month for up to 5 brands, Advanced from EUR 43 for 15 brands, up to 50 brands for EUR 130. White label and a dedicated account manager are on the custom plan only.

Switch from Sprinklr if you manage many small brands and want brand-based pricing.

Metricool, #4 of 16 in our social media management ranking →

Later

Canada · Per month by plan, published; 14-day trial

Visual planning for Instagram-led teams: Starter USD 18.75, Growth USD 37.50 and Scale USD 82.50 a month on annual billing, after a 14-day trial. Plans cap social sets and users (Scale: 6 sets, 4 users), and extra users cost USD 3.75 a month each.

Switch from Sprinklr if your channels are mostly visual and you want a low, published price.

Later, #6 of 16 in our social media management ranking →

Buffer

United States · Free tier; paid per channel per month, published

A scheduler priced per channel: Free for 3 channels with 10 scheduled posts per channel, Essentials at USD 5 and Team at USD 10 per channel per month on annual billing, after a 14-day trial. It has no enterprise governance and is not a listening or service platform.

Switch from Sprinklr if you only need to publish and want to pay per connected channel.

Buffer, #5 of 16 in our social media management ranking →

Willow

Belgium · Published: from €289/month (Kickstart, billed yearly); Pro from €545/month; Custom quoted per firm

A managed content service more than a tool: fixed fees of EUR 291 (Kickstart) and EUR 538 (Pro) a month on yearly billing, with coaching calls and posts created for employee advocacy. It publishes to LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and X only, a far narrower set than Sprinklr's 30+ channels.

Switch from Sprinklr if your main use of Sprinklr is employee advocacy on LinkedIn.

When Sprinklr is still the right choice

Sprinklr remains the right call when social is one part of a wider customer-experience programme. It names 30+ channels, listening, ad management, customer service and advocacy as parts of one platform, offers approval workflows with audit trails, and reports 1,900+ customers across 19 countries. Large brands with many markets and approvers, and buyers who want one vendor across marketing and service, will not find an equal among the published-price tools. It is listed on the NYSE under CXM, so a buyer can read its filings.

05

What moving off Sprinklr involves

  1. 01

Ask for exit terms before you sign anything else

We found no public statement of export formats, data return or notice periods on the Sprinklr pages we checked. Request these in writing from your account contact: what leaves (published posts, inbound messages, reports), in which format, and when access ends. Also ask which suite each feature you use is licensed under, because listening and ads belong to other suites.

  2. 02

Pilot on a trial before you move the calendar

Trials run 30 days at Sprout Social and Agorapulse, and 14 days at Hootsuite, Vista Social, Sendible, Later, Iconosquare and Buffer. Connect your real networks, rebuild one approval path and one report, and compare. Check that each tool supports the networks you use: Buffer's free plan connects 3 channels, and Willow publishes to four networks.
