Agorapulse alternatives: 11 social media management tools compared

Teams usually leave Agorapulse over the bill rather than the product. Its price is set per user and per plan, with ten social profiles on every tier and the reports a manager needs spread across the higher ones. Alternatives either charge by workspace, brand or channel, or drop the inbox and keep scheduling only.

Short answer: The first three alternatives to Agorapulse in our social media management ranking are Sendible, Metricool and Planable. The first three places are kept for challengers when the category has enough of them; the best-known brands come after that, in ranked order. Choose Sendible if you want to add clients and approvers without adding seats. These 11 products are all in Best Social Media Management Tools in 2026; the notes say how each one compares with Agorapulse.

Vendors can pay for more visibility on this website, for example a higher place in a ranking or more room on a page. Commercial relationships can also affect which products we feature and how prominently. Every vendor link is marked the same, whatever the arrangement behind it. How that works.

Agorapulse

#10 of 18 in our social media management ranking

  • Pricing: Free tier; paid per user per month, published
  • Established in: France
  • Built for: A team that answers as many messages as it posts
  • Not for: A solo marketer who only needs scheduling
01

Why buyers look past Agorapulse

  1. 01

    The price follows the headcount

Agorapulse lists Standard, Professional and Advanced at $99, $149 and $199 per user a month, or $79, $119 and $149 on the annual figures. Every plan carries 10 social profiles, and further profiles are an extra charge. A team of four on Professional pays for four seats before a single extra account is added.

  2. 02

Reporting and approvals sit higher up the ladder

Standard has basic reports. Team performance reports and simple approval workflows start at Professional, while competitor benchmarking, ads reports and ROI analysis wait for Advanced. Multi-step approval, API access and sentiment filtering belong to Custom. An agency that needs sign-off and client reports lands on a mid or top tier quickly.

  3. 03

    Several modules are priced separately

The pricing page names Advanced Listening, Advocacy, Competitive Benchmarking and two X add-ons without printing a figure, so those costs come from a sales conversation. History is capped by plan as well: 6 months of data on Standard, 12 on Professional, 24 on Advanced.

Assignment and approvals appear from Plus. It has a 14-day trial, and extra workspaces add six profiles each.

Switch from Agorapulse if you want to add clients and approvers without adding seats.

Planable

Romania · Published

Planable bills each workspace: Basic at $33 and Pro at $49 a month, with unlimited users on both. Approval can be optional or required on Pro. Analytics, a social inbox and listening are add-ons per workspace, listed at $12, $7.5 and $82.5 on the cards. The trial is 50 posts with no time limit.

Switch from Agorapulse if clients approving drafts matters more than an all-in-one inbox.

Publer

Albania · Published

Publer is sold per social account, and the pricing page notes that the tenth account is free for every nine paid. Its free version allows 10 scheduled posts per account and 25 saved drafts and cannot connect X. Collaboration and approval workflows are tied to additional members that you add on a paid plan.

Switch from Agorapulse if your cost should scale with accounts and not with people.

Iconosquare

France · Published

SocialBee

Romania · Published

SocialBee lists Bootstrap at $29, Accelerate at $49 and Pro at $99 a month, each with fewer seats than Agorapulse offers per plan: one user per workspace on the first two, three on Pro. Switch from Agorapulse if you need approvals for cautious clients and can live with light listening.

Buffer

United States · Published

Buffer charges per channel: Essentials at $5 a month and Team at $10, with a free plan for up to 3 channels. Unlimited members, access levels and approval workflows are reserved for Team. A community inbox is part of every plan, which covers basic comment handling that smaller teams need.

04

When Agorapulse is still the right choice

Agorapulse remains a sound choice when a team works through its inbox every day. One inbox covers messages and comments across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky, Reddit and Google Business Profile, with assignment, keyword rules and AI sentiment flags. It also reports holding SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications. If you value that queue and its client-facing reports, check whether the lowest tier that fits you is affordable before leaving.

05

What moving off Agorapulse involves

  1. 01

    Scheduled posts do not travel

Posts queued in Agorapulse stay there. Export what you need from its reports first, then rebuild the queue, saved content and calendars in the new tool, starting with the next two weeks. Data retention is limited by plan, so the older history is worth saving before you cancel.

  2. 02

    Check each network's connection again

Every network sets its own rules for outside tools, and the Agorapulse site says not every feature works on every network. Reconnect each account in the new tool and test publishing and replying before you close the old one, especially for X, TikTok and Google Business Profile.

Questions about replacing Agorapulse

6 answers
What does Agorapulse cost?

The pricing page lists Standard at $99, Professional at $149 and Advanced at $199 per user a month, with lower figures of $79, $119 and $149 that match its stated annual savings.

Custom is quoted. The page does not label which column is monthly, so check at checkout.

Is there a free trial?

The pricing page advertises a 30-day free trial with no credit card. An FAQ mentions a free plan after the trial but gives no limits for it, so we cannot say what it includes.

Which plan includes approvals?

Simple approval workflows start at Professional. Multi-step approval is listed for Custom only. The Agorapulse home page adds that on some plans clients can approve posts without their own seat.

Which alternatives do not charge per user?

Sendible lists unlimited users on every plan, Planable bills per workspace with unlimited users, Metricool by number of brands, and Buffer and Publer by channel or account. Whether that is cheaper depends on how many accounts you run.

Do the alternatives have a social inbox?

Buffer lists a community inbox on every plan, Iconosquare from its Launch plan, and Planable as a paid add-on. Metricool lists inboxes for some networks, but its pricing page was cut off in our reading, so confirm details there.

Can I get listening elsewhere?

Vista Social sells listening at $75 a month, Planable at about $82.5 per workspace, and Loomly offers 2 or 5 runs a month. Agorapulse lists Advanced Listening as an add-on with a lookback of up to 24 months.
