People who look past OneSignal usually do so for one of three reasons: a bill that grows with every active user, a feature ladder that makes journeys and exports wait for the annual tier, or a wish for a vendor outside the United States. The alternatives range from web-push specialists to developer APIs and one French platform.
Short answer: Looking for a replacement for OneSignal? Batch, Pushwoosh and Webpushr come first in our push notification services ranking. Smaller vendors fill the top three places where the category offers them, and the household names start at place 4. Start with Batch if you want a French vendor and a CRM-style platform, and accept a sales conversation before seeing a price. All 11 alternatives below are ranked products from Best Push Notification Services in 2026, and each says where it differs from OneSignal.
Vendors can pay for more visibility on this website, for example a higher place in a ranking or more room on a page. Commercial relationships can also affect which products we feature and how prominently. Every vendor link is marked the same, whatever the arrangement behind it. How that works.

Why buyers look past OneSignal
01
Mobile push is billed per active user
OneSignal's pricing page puts Growth at $19 a month plus $0.012 per mobile monthly active user, and $0.004 per web-push subscriber. The free plan stops at 1,000 mobile users. A successful app therefore pays more precisely when engagement rises, which makes the monthly figure hard to forecast against a flat subscriber tier.
02
Journeys, exports and history are gated by tier
The same page allows 3 active journeys on Free, 5 on Growth and 20 on Professional, with 6, 10 and 20 audience segments. CSV exports, advanced analytics and the Notification History API start at Professional, which is an annual contract at a custom price. Message event retention is none on Free and 30 days on Growth.
03
An American company with hosting in Europe
The privacy policy names OneSignal, Inc. in San Mateo, California, says data is hosted and stored in Europe and accessed in the United States, and relies on standard contractual clauses and the Data Privacy Framework. Teams that want a vendor under European jurisdiction will not find that here. The pricing page lists no SSO and no SLA below Enterprise.
you only need delivery to devices, have developers to write the sending logic, and accept a Google service

Batch
France · See profile
Batch is a French engagement platform that puts app push, web push, email, SMS and in-app messaging beside AI features and a data platform. A CRM team in retail, media, finance or luxe is the audience it describes. The website carries no price list, so a demonstration and an offer come before any comparison with OneSignal's published per-user rates.
Switch from OneSignal if you want a French vendor and a CRM-style platform, and accept a sales conversation before seeing a price.
Pushwoosh bills by monthly active users, with a free tier up to 1,000 and published per-1,000 rates that differ for push only and for omnichannel with email, SMS and WhatsApp. The structure resembles OneSignal's, so the comparison is a matter of rates. Messenger channels are charged by third-party providers at their own prices, which the headline rate leaves out.
Switch from OneSignal if you like per-active-user billing but want to compare rates, and plan to add messengers later.
Webpushr is a small web-push vendor in Atlanta whose plans all carry the same features and differ only in subscriber count, free up to 10,000 subscribers. Its pages describe browser push, in-browser messaging and WordPress and WooCommerce plugins, with no mobile-app SDK. Non-enterprise accounts may export all subscriber data once a month.
Switch from OneSignal if your audience is on a website or a shop, and you want a bill that follows subscriber count alone.
Pusher Beams sends programmatic push to iOS, Android and web through device interests and authenticated users, and nothing else: no email, no SMS. A free Sandbox covers 1,000 subscribers, and five monthly tiers run to 250,000. Standard support is best-effort email, with a 24-hour target starting at the Business tier. Pusher Ltd is registered in England and Wales.
Switch from OneSignal if you only need push from your own backend and would rather not pay for campaign tools.
PushEngage launched in January 2016 and has belonged to Awesome Motive since 2020. Its free tier holds 200 subscribers, one site and 30 campaigns over its lifetime, so it works as a trial. Paid tiers raise the campaign cap and add workflows, while only Premium covers two sites or apps. Agencies with many properties land on a custom Enterprise quote.
Switch from OneSignal if you run one or two websites and want a ladder of paid tiers that scale with active subscribers.
Novu's core code is on GitHub under the MIT licence, and the company behind it, Noti-Fire Apps Ltd, lists offices in Ramat Gan. Push is one of five channels, and you build workflows in code. The free tier allows 10,000 workflow runs a month with a 24-hour activity feed, and self-hosting appears only under Enterprise.
Switch from OneSignal if your engineers would rather read and extend notification code than operate a campaign dashboard.
MagicBell centres on the notification inbox inside your app, then fans out to push, Slack, SMS and email. The Builder tier gives 1,000 deliveries a month free. A delivery is counted for each channel, so a message sent to two channels counts twice. The step to the Startup plan is large, and projects beyond five carry a published fee.
Switch from OneSignal if you want an in-app inbox as the main surface and push as one of its routes.
Knock Labs, a New York company, sells one thing: an API and dashboard for product notifications across channels. The free tier covers 10,000 messages a month, and billing counts messages delivered, not dormant profiles. Unlimited workflows and team members come with every plan. SSO, SCIM and an SLA wait for the custom Enterprise tier.
Switch from OneSignal if you want to pay for delivered messages rather than for profiles, with workflows kept in one API.
Courier charges for sends and says it adds no per-seat or channel fees, with a free tier of 10,000 sends a month. EU data residency is listed from the Business plan upward, which matters if message data must stay in Europe. Logs on the Developer tier last 7 days, and role-based access control plus an SLA need an Enterprise contract.
Switch from OneSignal if you want per-send billing with an EU data option, and can pay for Business to get it.
SuprSend is run by SuprStack Inc., whose terms are governed by Delaware law; the pages we read give no office country. The free tier allows 10,000 notifications a month. Batching, digests, user preferences and data modelling sit on the Business plan, and Enterprise adds self-hosting plus a Bring Your Own Cloud option that the pricing page labels beta.
Switch from OneSignal if you need digests and per-user preferences, and may later want to run the system in your own cloud.
Firebase Cloud Messaging is no-cost on the Spark plan and reaches Android, iOS, web, Flutter, Unity and C++ projects. It moves messages and does not plan campaigns: you send from server code or the console, to one device, a group or a topic, with payloads up to 4096 bytes. Segmentation and journeys need a second product.
Switch from OneSignal if you only need delivery to devices, have developers to write the sending logic, and accept a Google service.
You run a website or shop and want a flat subscriber-based bill
Webpushr: All plans carry the same features, priced by subscriber count, with a free level up to 10,000 subscribers.
02
You want a vendor based in the EU
Batch: Batch is French and combines app push, web push, email, SMS and in-app messaging, but publishes no prices.
03
You want to read and extend the code yourself
Novu: The core is MIT-licensed on GitHub, with a free tier of 10,000 workflow runs a month.
04
You only need push sent from your own servers
Pusher Beams: It handles iOS, Android and web push by interests and authenticated users, with a free Sandbox for 1,000 subscribers.
05
You already build on Google's mobile stack
Firebase: Cloud Messaging is listed as no-cost on the Spark plan, though segmentation and journeys need another product.
04
When OneSignal is still the right choice
OneSignal remains the sensible choice when one tool should cover mobile push, web push, in-app messages, email and SMS, and the audience is small enough to sit inside the free plan with all channels. The free tier allows unlimited mobile push up to 1,000 MAU, and its documentation says IP addresses from EU and UK users are not collected by default. If journeys and segments fit the plan you are on, a move costs more than it saves.
05
What moving off OneSignal involves
01
Export what the plan lets you export
CSV exports sit on Professional and Enterprise, so on Free or Growth start the retrieval early and check what the API returns for your subscribers. Message history is short on lower tiers: 30 days of event retention on Growth, none on Free.
02
Ask each new vendor how existing subscribers carry over
We did not verify how web-push subscribers or mobile tokens migrate between providers, so ask the new vendor before you switch. Run both providers in parallel for a few weeks and turn the old sending off only when delivery matches.
03
Rebuild segments and journeys, then compare cost
List your segments, tags and active journeys, and price them on the new vendor with your real monthly active users. Pilot one campaign before moving the rest.

Questions about replacing OneSignal
6 answers
Which OneSignal alternative is cheapest for a website with a large subscriber base?
Webpushr charges by subscriber count alone and offers a free level up to 10,000 subscribers, with the same features on every plan. OneSignal's web push is $0.004 per subscriber on Growth, so compare both at your own list size.
Is there a European alternative to OneSignal?
Batch is based in France and covers app push, web push, email, SMS and in-app messaging. It publishes no prices, so you will need a demonstration first. The others in our list are American, British or do not state a country.
What is a free OneSignal alternative for developers?
Novu has an MIT-licensed core on GitHub and a free tier of 10,000 workflow runs a month. Knock and Courier also give 10,000 messages or sends free, and Firebase Cloud Messaging is no-cost on the Spark plan.
Can Firebase Cloud Messaging replace OneSignal?
It can replace the delivery layer. You send from server code or the Firebase console to devices, groups or topics. Segmentation and journeys need another product, so the campaign dashboard you may rely on at OneSignal is not part of it.
Which alternative handles only push from my own backend?
Pusher Beams does one job: programmatic push to iOS, Android and web through interests and authenticated users. A free Sandbox covers 1,000 subscribers. It has no email or SMS.
Does OneSignal have a plan with SSO or an SLA?
The pricing page we read lists an SLA under Enterprise only and shows no SSO row. Professional and Enterprise are annual contracts at custom prices.
