Google Workspace should stay where a company wants zero training cost and the best spam filter. Gmail's filtering is the benchmark in our ranking, new staff already know the interface, and documents with live co-editing come attached. If no jurisdiction requirement applies and the daily work happens in shared documents, every alternative means a thinner editor for little in return.
Google's Takeout export is complete and free, which several rivals cannot match. A downloaded archive is still not a working mailbox. Use an import tool that connects to the old account directly, as Fastmail and Zoho Mail provide, and run it twice: once early, once at cutover.
