Genesys Cloud CX alternatives: 13 call center tools compared

Searches for a Genesys Cloud CX alternative usually come from two directions: a contact centre that finds the price ladder and token meter harder to forecast than it expected, and a European organisation that wants a vendor, hosting footprint or contract entity closer to home. Most buyers then pick a European CCaaS vendor, a phone-first product with a plain per-user price, or a rival enterprise suite.

Short answer: The first three alternatives to Genesys Cloud CX in our call center software ranking are Puzzel, Odigo and Diabolocom. We open the ranking with smaller vendors and put the established brands from fourth place onward. Choose Puzzel if you want Nordic hosting and a three-package ladder instead of four numbered tiers. The 13 entries that follow are all ranked in Best Call Center Software in 2026; each one explains what sets it apart from Genesys Cloud CX.

Visibility on this site can be bought by vendors; what we say about the product cannot. The disclosure page explains.

Genesys Cloud CX

#14 of 15 in our call center software ranking

  • Pricing: CX 1 (voice-only) $75/user/month, published; scales through digital and workforce-management tiers up to CX 4 (AI-first) at $240/user/month; $2,000/month minimum commitment, annual billing
  • Established in: United States

Why buyers look past Genesys Cloud CX

  1. 01

A price ladder that is only the starting point

Genesys lists four named-user tiers on annual billing: 75 USD for CX 1, 115 USD for CX 2, 155 USD for CX 3 and 240 USD for CX 4. The same page adds that usage-based pricing may apply and that certain AI features consume Experience tokens, with 250 named or 350 concurrent tokens per organisation per month included. A budget built from the list price alone leaves out whatever the token meter and add-ons add.

  2. 02

    Capabilities sit in different tiers

In the comparison table, digital channels and workforce engagement are add-ons on CX 1, and workforce management is an add-on on CX 2 and included from CX 3. A team that starts with voice and later wants chat, forecasting or quality scoring has to re-read the table at each step to see which tier or add-on pays for it.

  3. 03

Three licence bases to choose between

Genesys sells named licences (tied to one identifiable user), concurrent licences (based on simultaneous active usage) and hourly licences (charged only for time spent handling interactions). Shift-based operations can gain from the second or third, but the choice changes the maths of every comparison and needs a realistic peak-concurrency figure before anyone signs.

What each one does differently

Puzzel

Norway · On request

Norwegian vendor with its head office in Oslo and data centres in Norway and Sweden, plus Azure and AWS services in Ireland, the Netherlands and the UK. Three packages named Resolve, Impress and Power, with virtual agent and quality management as add-ons. No prices appear on the packages page, so the first number comes from a quote.

Switch from Genesys Cloud CX if you want Nordic hosting and a three-package ladder instead of four numbered tiers.

Puzzel holds rank 3 among 15 entries in our call center software guide →

Odigo

France · On request

A French operator that traces its history to a 1986 audiotel service, is now owned by Seven2 and calls itself a European technology company hosted in Europe. Its Essential offer is aimed at 5 to 500 consultants and bills on peak simultaneous connections. Prices are quoted, so it trades Genesys's visible ladder for a conversation.

Switch from Genesys Cloud CX if your tender asks for a European-owned vendor and a mid-sized tier of up to 500 agents.

Odigo, #2 of 15 in our call center software ranking →

Diabolocom

France · See profile

Publishes a Voice plan from 60 USD and an Omnichannel plan from 99 USD per named licence, but only on a 3-year commitment for at least 150 licences, before telecom fees and usage. Dialer modes include preview, progressive and predictive. The long term and the seat floor make it a poor match for a pilot.

Switch from Genesys Cloud CX if you run 150 or more outbound-heavy seats and can accept a three-year contract.

Diabolocom holds rank 7 among 15 entries in our call center software guide →

Vocalcom

France · On request

Founded in Paris in 1995 and describes its platform as available in the cloud, on premises or as a hybrid, a choice the Genesys pricing page does not list. It leans on predictive dialling and collections use cases. Pricing is quote-only and the site speaks mostly to large operations.

Switch from Genesys Cloud CX if you need an on-premises or hybrid option, or run collections-style outbound campaigns.

Vocalcom, #10 of 15 in our call center software ranking →

NFON

Germany · Published

German vendor based in Munich that lists its Contact Center at 42 EUR per agent per month on the English price page, with a one-time activation fee of 500 EUR. It is sold next to the Cloudya telephony service. One flat euro figure is easy to budget, but the page shows no tier ladder, so compare scope with CX 3 or CX 4 yourself.

Switch from Genesys Cloud CX if you are a DACH-region business that wants a listed euro price and a German contracting entity.

NFON, #9 of 15 in our call center software ranking →

3CX

Cyprus · See profile

Charges an annual licence per simultaneous-call tier, for example 300 USD a year for the 8SC Basic edition, with no per-agent fee. Queues, wallboards, live chat, WhatsApp and SMS are part of the contact-centre offer. You choose Windows or Linux and either 3CX hosting or your own server, which moves operations work onto your IT team.

Switch from Genesys Cloud CX if you want to run the platform yourself and pay by call capacity, not by named agent.

Kavkom

France · Published

French company with a Basic pack at 10 EUR and a Plus pack at 50 EUR per user per month, lower with a 12-month term, and a Custom pack quoted for contact-centre and API projects. Skill-based routing only appears in the Custom pack, and the predictive dialer is a separate add-on. It is a cloud phone system with CRM features, not a Genesys-sized suite.

Switch from Genesys Cloud CX if your team is small and the real need is a business phone line with a built-in CRM.

CloudTalk

Slovakia · Published

Slovak vendor with per-user plans from 19 EUR (Lite, annual) up to 49 EUR (Expert, annual), and a three-licence minimum on Expert only. Parallel Dialer is a 39 EUR add-on. The page also sells AI Voice Agents separately. The workforce and quality tooling that CX 3 bundles is not what its plan table is built around.

Switch from Genesys Cloud CX if you want a sales-calling stack with a published euro price and a short trial.

Ringover

France · Published

French vendor selling Talk at 19 USD, Business at 49 USD and Unified at 69 USD per user per month on a 12-month commitment with a three-user minimum. Enterprise starts at 50 users with a quoted price and adds workforce management. It is aimed at sales and recruitment teams, so complex routing trees are not its centre.

Switch from Genesys Cloud CX if you run a sales or recruitment desk of a few dozen people and want public per-user plans.

Ringover, #6 of 15 in our call center software ranking →

Aircall

France · Published

Essentials at 30 USD per licence per month with AI Voice Agents included, and a Power Dialer that loads up to 1,000 numbers. Enterprise is custom priced and adds unlimited global calls, SSO and SCIM. It is a cloud phone system synced to a CRM or help desk, so intricate multi-queue contact-centre design is outside its brief.

Switch from Genesys Cloud CX if a support or sales desk wants a CRM-synced phone system and no contact-centre project.

Aircall holds rank 5 among 15 entries in our call center software guide →

RingCentral RingCX

United States · Published

RingCentral's contact-centre product, advertised at 65 USD per user per month with unlimited minutes. It combines voice with more than 20 digital channels and dialers for preview, progressive and predictive campaigns. It makes most sense when the company already runs RingCentral telephony, and the US pricing page we tried returned a 404.

Switch from Genesys Cloud CX if RingCentral already carries your phones and you want the contact centre from the same vendor.

Five9

United States · Published

Cloud contact-centre platform founded in 2001, headquartered in San Ramon, California, with European offices in London, Munich and Porto. Its product layers are named Engage, Orchestrate and Optimize. The pricing URLs we tried returned a 404, and the small-business page routes to a form, so the number comes only from a quote.

Switch from Genesys Cloud CX if you are staying at enterprise scale and want a like-for-like quote from a direct rival.

Where Five9 stands: place 12 of 15 in the call center software ranking →

NiCE CXone

Israel / United States · Published

Five suites at 110, 135, 169, 209 and 249 USD per agent per month, with the top suite adding 0.25 USD per session. NiCE states monthly billing in arrears with no prepayment, which differs from Genesys's annual-commitment prices. It is run by NiCE Ltd, whose terms are governed by Israeli law, and its scope matches Genesys rather than undercutting it.

Switch from Genesys Cloud CX if you want published per-agent prices billed monthly in arrears for a full enterprise suite.

When Genesys Cloud CX is still the right choice

Genesys Cloud CX remains the sensible choice when a contact centre already runs on it and needs the whole stack, from voice and digital routing to workforce management, quality and AI copilots, on one platform with prices published on its own site. Its pricing page lists tiers from CX 1 to CX 4, and the comparison table shows workforce management included from CX 3. If your agent count is high enough for concurrent or hourly licences to pay off, and nobody in procurement requires a vendor outside the United States, a working contract is not a reason to move. Migration takes queues, IVR flows and recordings with it, and that effort has to be weighed against the saving.

05

What moving off Genesys Cloud CX involves

  1. 01

Rebuild the quote on a like-for-like basis

Convert each vendor to total monthly cost for your peak agents. Genesys is quoted per named, concurrent or hourly licence, NiCE per agent plus a per-session charge on its top suite, Diabolocom per named licence with usage on top, and 3CX per simultaneous call. Without one common basis the comparison table says nothing.

  2. 02

Inventory what the AI actually does

Genesys meters certain AI features in tokens, and rivals package copilots, summaries and virtual agents differently, sometimes as add-ons. List the AI functions you use today, ask each shortlisted vendor which of them sit in the base price, and keep the answers in writing.

  3. 03

Move queues in a staged order

IVR flows, queues, skills, scripts and recordings all have to be recreated or exported. Move one low-risk queue first, run old and new platforms in parallel for a defined period, and agree who exports historical recordings before the Genesys contract ends.

Questions about replacing Genesys Cloud CX

6 answers
What does Genesys Cloud CX cost?

The pricing page lists CX 1 at 75 USD, CX 2 at 115 USD, CX 3 at 155 USD and CX 4 at 240 USD per user per month, billed annually.

It states that usage-based pricing may apply and that some AI features need Experience tokens, so request a quote for your seat count.

Where is Genesys based?

Genesys lists its headquarters at 1302 El Camino Real in Menlo Park, California. Ask which Genesys entity signs a contract in your country and where your data is hosted.

Which Genesys alternative has a European head office?

Puzzel (Oslo), Odigo (France), Diabolocom (Paris), Vocalcom (Paris), NFON (Munich), Kavkom (France), CloudTalk (Slovakia), Ringover (France) and Aircall (Paris) are the options on this list. They differ a lot in size, so check scope before comparing price.

Is there a Genesys alternative that I can host myself?

3CX says you can choose Windows or Linux and either hosting by 3CX or your own server on Amazon, Digital Ocean, Azure or Google. Vocalcom describes its platform as cloud, on-premises or hybrid.

Which alternatives publish their prices?

NiCE CXone lists five suites from 110 to 249 USD per agent per month, Diabolocom from 60 USD per named licence with a 150-licence minimum, NFON 42 EUR per agent, and CloudTalk, Kavkom, Aircall and Ringover list per-user plans.

Puzzel, Odigo and Vocalcom quote on request.

Can a small team use these instead of Genesys?

The phone-first products (Kavkom, CloudTalk, Ringover, Aircall) have no seat floor or a three-licence one on some plans. Diabolocom needs 150 licences and Ringover Enterprise 50 users, so the larger platforms assume a bigger operation.
