Teams look for a Landbot alternative when the monthly chat count starts driving the bill, when WhatsApp turns out to be an add-on rather than part of the plan, or when they want a bot inside a fuller inbox. Others want a self-hostable builder, a vendor with a published country, or a tool aimed at support rather than lead capture.
Short answer: Where a category has smaller vendors worth recommending, they occupy the first three places and the big brands come below them. For Landbot users, the top three picks from our chatbot software ranking are Tiledesk, Typebot and Trengo. Pick Tiledesk if you want the bot builder on infrastructure you control. Each of the 11 alternatives sits in Best Chatbot & Conversational Marketing Software in 2026 and is described against Landbot.
Vendors can pay for more visibility on this website, for example a higher place in a ranking or more room on a page. Commercial relationships can also affect which products we feature and how prominently. Every vendor link is marked the same, whatever the arrangement behind it. How that works.
Pricing: Free €0 (100 chats/month, 1 seat); Starter €32/month billed annually (€40 monthly): 500 chats, 100 AI chats, 2 seats; Professional €80/month annually (€100 monthly): 2,500 chats, 300 AI chats, 3 seats; Professional + WhatsApp €160/month; Business from €400/month by contract; overage €0.05/chat, €0.10/AI chat, €25/extra seat

Why buyers look past Landbot
01
Chats are the meter, and AI chats are a second one
Landbot counts chats per month across all channels: 100 on Free, 500 on Starter and 2,500 on Professional. AI chats are counted separately (100 on Starter, 300 on Professional). Extra chats cost 0.05 euros each and extra AI chats 0.10 euros, so a good campaign month raises the invoice.
02
WhatsApp costs extra on top of the plan
The Free plan has a test number only and Starter has no WhatsApp. Professional lists WhatsApp as a 100 euro monthly add-on, and the Professional WA plan is listed at 160 euros. Meta's charges plus 0.05 euros per marketing, utility or authentication message come on top, and the pricing page itself shows the two Professional figures side by side without explaining them.
03
Seats and integrations rise with the tier
Free has one seat, Starter two and Professional three, with extra seats at 25 euros a month on Business. HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive and Zoho sit on Professional, Starter gets basic ones such as Mailchimp, and Landbot branding is only removed from Professional upwards. A small team that wants a CRM link therefore starts at 80 euros a month billed annually.

Tiledesk
Italy · On request
Tiledesk, from Italy, publishes the source of its core, so a technical team can run it on its own servers instead of renting a cloud bot. Hosted plans start with Pro at 149 euros a month (124 billed annually) for 3 users, 20 AI agents and 3,000 conversations, with a 14-day trial. Expect to give up Landbot's lead-capture templates.
Switch from Landbot if you want the bot builder on infrastructure you control.
Typebot is a flow builder with a free tier of 200 chats and unlimited bots. Starter adds 2,000 chats and 2 seats, Pro gives 10,000 chats and 5 seats, and Starter overage is 10 dollars per 500 chats. Billing is monthly only. Connections include OpenAI, Google Sheets and WhatsApp. The terms give a contact email but no country.
Switch from Landbot if you want a visual flow builder with a larger chat allowance than Landbot's tiers.
Trengo, a Dutch inbox, starts at 299 euros a month on annual billing for 10 users and 6,000 conversations a year, with broadcasting as an add-on and AI-handled conversations carrying a surcharge of 0.25 to 0.30 euros. The point is that a website chat visitor can carry on in WhatsApp with the same team. It costs more than Landbot's entry plans.
Switch from Landbot if a shared WhatsApp-and-chat inbox for several colleagues matters more than the builder.
Userlike now trades as Lime Connect (Userlike) GmbH in Cologne, part of the Lime Technologies group. A free tier exists, Pro starts at 105 euros a month (87 billed annually), and the AI agent, copilot, workflows and WhatsApp campaigns are priced as separate add-ons. The Workflows builder is no-code, but each extra adds to the bill.
Switch from Landbot if a German-registered operator and a no-code Workflows builder suit your procurement.
Crisp is a French workspace product: Free covers 2 seats, Mini is 45 dollars a month with 4 seats, Essentials 95 dollars with 10 and Plus 295 dollars with 20, and extra seats cost 10 dollars each. Pricing follows the workspace, not the number of chats, and a no-code chatbot builder is included. Lead-scoring depth is lighter than Landbot's.
Switch from Landbot if you would rather pay per workspace than per conversation.
Smartsupp, from the Czech Republic, offers a free plan with one operator and 25 conversations a month, then Solo at 17 dollars, Plus at 25 and Expert at 83. Its Mira shopping agent reads a product feed of up to 30,000 items and starts at 16 dollars for 100 conversations. Annual billing is discounted by up to 30 percent.
Switch from Landbot if you run an online shop and want product recommendations inside the chat.
Kindly is a Norwegian vendor whose AI agents work in more than 100 languages by default and mix branched dialogue with generative answers. Pricing is session-based on an annual commitment and is quoted per organisation. Its pitch has moved toward customer service, so lead capture is a secondary use.
Switch from Landbot if you answer customers in many language markets from one bot.
LiveChat, from Poland, charges per person: Starter 19 dollars on annual billing, Team 49 and Business 79. It reports how many of the proactive campaigns a visitor saw turned into a conversation, which is the nearest thing to a marketing measure in this list. Bots are a smaller part of it than at Landbot.
Switch from Landbot if people, not a bot, will talk to your visitors and you want campaign conversion numbers.
Tidio, a Polish product, has a free tier and paid plans measured by conversations reached. The AI answering is metered separately again, and our record notes that reporting and routing are thin once more than three people share the inbox. It was shaped for a shop owner who answers chats between other jobs.
Switch from Landbot if you run a small shop and a free tier gets you started.
Chatfuel is sold by 200 Labs, Inc. and works in Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and WhatsApp messages, including comment replies and click-to-chat ads. Business is 18 US dollars a month billed yearly with 20 dollars of AI credits included; Agency is 90 dollars for 3 companies. It is not designed for B2B visitor routing.
Switch from Landbot if your leads arrive through social messages and ads rather than your website.
Intercom is a US platform with seat prices of 19 dollars (Essential), 85 (Advanced) and 132 (Expert) on annual billing. Its Fin AI agent is billed at 0.99 dollars per outcome on every plan, and campaign messages over SMS, WhatsApp, phone and email are charged on usage. A 14-day trial is listed. It is a support suite first.
Switch from Landbot if you want one US-based suite for support and messaging and accept usage billing.
Tiledesk: Its core is open source, and hosted Pro starts at 149 euros a month for 3 users and 20 AI agents.
02
You want more chats than Landbot's tiers allow
Typebot: The free plan has 200 chats, Starter 2,000 and Pro 10,000, all billed monthly.
03
Your team answers website chats and WhatsApp together
Trengo: Website chat and a WhatsApp Business number share one inbox, from 299 euros a month billed annually.
04
You would rather pay per workspace than per chat
Crisp: Free covers 2 seats and Mini 4 seats at 45 dollars a month, with extra seats at 10 dollars.
05
You sell products online and want recommendations in the chat
Smartsupp: The Mira agent reads a feed of up to 30,000 items and starts at 16 dollars for 100 conversations.
04
When Landbot is still the right choice
Landbot stays a good choice when the job is lead qualification on a website or WhatsApp and the people building it are marketers, not developers. Its homepage describes a visual builder, 55 templates, an AI Copilot that drafts a flow from a text prompt, and native links to HubSpot and Salesforce. The Free plan and the 14-day trial with no card make it cheap to test. If chat volume is modest, check Starter or Professional before leaving.
05
What moving off Landbot involves
01
Flows have to be rebuilt by hand
A Landbot flow is built in its own visual editor, so there is no file to import into another builder. Export the questions, branching rules and the fields written to your CRM, then rebuild and test each path before the old bot is switched off.
02
WhatsApp numbers carry history
If your WhatsApp Business number is registered through Landbot, moving it means a new approval step with the next provider and a pause in service. Plan the cutover for a quiet day and tell staff which inbox takes over.
03
Check where the new vendor counts usage
Chats, conversations, sessions, outcomes and AI credits are all different meters. Take a recent month of Landbot data and price it against each candidate's unit before comparing headline fees.

What happens when I pass my chat allowance?

Is Landbot a European company?
Our category record lists it as Spanish. Its homepage gives the legal name HELLO UMI S.L. in its page data but states no address, so we rely on the record for the country.
Which alternative can I self-host?
Tiledesk is the one with an open source core that a technical team can run on its own servers. The other tools here are hosted services.
Which alternatives suit WhatsApp-heavy work?
Trengo is built around moving a website chat into WhatsApp, Userlike sells WhatsApp campaigns as an add-on, and Chatfuel centres on social and WhatsApp messages. Check Meta's per-message charges with each.
