Aircall alternatives: 13 call center tools compared

The typical searcher runs a small sales or support team on Aircall, then reads the licence table closely: three licences minimum, a per-licence price that doubles between the first two plans, and unlimited outbound calling that stops at the US and Canada. They move to a vendor with a lower seat price or one seat minimum, to one with number coverage and calling bundles in their own region, or up to an enterprise contact centre platform.

Vendors can pay for visibility on this site; it never changes what we say about a product. How that works.

Aircall

#2 of 15 in our call center software ranking

  • Pricing: Essentials $30/license/month; Professional $50/license/month (3-license minimum on both); Enterprise custom (25-license minimum); 25% off with annual billing, published for the two entry tiers
  • Established in: France

Why buyers look past Aircall

  1. 01

Three licences minimum, and a plan step that costs $20 a seat

On its US pricing page Aircall lists Essentials at $30 and Professional at $50 per licence per month, both with a three-licence minimum. Enterprise is custom-priced with a 25-licence minimum. The features most teams actually buy a dialer for (Power Dialer, outbound campaigns, call whispering, smart routing, queue callback) sit only on Professional, so a team that starts on Essentials meets the higher price quickly.

  2. 02

Unlimited calling stops at the US and Canada

Aircall's plan table shows unlimited outbound calls in the US and Canada on Essentials and Professional, and international outbound as 'contact us for rates and bundle'. Only Enterprise lists unlimited international outbound. A team based in France, the UK or Germany that dials locally therefore has to ask for a bundle, which the pricing page does not price. SMS is listed for 14 countries, with domestic delivery only apart from US to Canada.

  3. 03

Add-ons that turn a seat price into a bigger bill

The headline price covers one local or toll-free number per plan, and each extra number is $6 a month. Essentials is capped at three teams and gives up to six months of analytics data. Call scoring, key topic recognition and similar AI features are labelled as AI Assist items in the plan table rather than as plain features, so the real bill depends on what the team switches on.

What each one does differently

CloudTalk

Slovakia · Lite €19/user/month (annual) or €27 monthly; Starter €25/€34; Essential €29/€39; Expert €49/€69/user/month (3-seat minimum), published

The closest like-for-like cloud phone system for sales and support teams, with published seat prices of €19, €25, €29 and €49 a month on annual billing and a one-licence minimum on the first three plans (Expert needs three). It lists unlimited calls across the US and Canada like Aircall, with additional international calling bundles, and publishes number coverage and rates by country. Its entry plan is lighter on contact centre routing than Aircall's Professional.

Switch from Aircall if you want a seat price below $30 and a one-licence minimum.

Ringover

France · Talk plan published entry pricing, buyable online; Business plan for teams of 3+ on a 12-month term; Advanced plan custom-quoted after a demo

Publishes two plans online, Talk and Business, both with a three-user minimum and a 12-month commitment, with Advanced quoted. Business adds local numbers in 65 countries on an annual plan and unlimited calls to a list of 110 destinations that covers the EEA, UK, Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The unlimited-call coverage is European where Aircall's is North American, and Talk is limited to one company number.

Switch from Aircall if your calls go to European numbers and you can accept a 12-month commitment.

Kavkom

France · Basic Pack €10/user/month (€8 with a 12-month term); Plus Pack €50/user/month (€30 with a 12-month term, €24 for qualifying French SMEs); Custom Pack bespoke for contact-center needs, published for the first two tiers

A cloud phone system priced per user per month from €10 on a monthly plan, or €8 on a yearly plan with a 12-month commitment, with the monthly plan cancellable at any time. The Plus Pack at €50 monthly adds unlimited calls and SMS to France, the USA, Canada and Israel. Contact centre needs such as skill-based routing sit on a quoted Custom Pack, so it is a phone system first.

Switch from Aircall if you need a low per-seat price with no minimum commitment on monthly billing.

Kavkom, #3 of 15 in our call center software ranking →

3CX

Cyprus · Basic, PRO and AI editions licensed annually per simultaneous-call tier (8 to 1,024 SC); hosting by 3CX priced separately; a no-cost 4SC Basic edition (self-hosted only, up to 10 users) lacks the call center features

Not priced per seat at all. Licences are sized by simultaneous calls, and the system can run hosted by 3CX, on premise or self-hosted, with a free Basic edition. That makes the bill predictable for a team with many users and few concurrent calls, but you or a partner administer a PBX where Aircall is a managed app.

Switch from Aircall if you have more users than simultaneous calls and want to host the system yourself.

3CX, #6 of 15 in our call center software ranking →

NFON

Germany · NFON Contact Center from €46/licence/month on the German price list (€42 on the English one) plus a set-up fee from €500, published; licences adjustable monthly; sold alongside NFON's Cloudya cloud PBX

Sells its Contact Center as an omnichannel product next to cloud telephony and SIP trunks, so one supplier can cover the office phone system and the service desk. It is built for organisations that run a main number and a queue, where Aircall assumes a CRM-centred sales or support team. Public pricing for the contact centre product was not confirmed on the NFON site.

Switch from Aircall if you want telephony and a contact centre from one vendor.

NFON, #7 of 15 in our call center software ranking →

Enreach

Netherlands · Enreach Omnichannel contact center pricing quoted on request

Presents itself as a European provider that combines unified communications, contact centre technology and telecom services, with country sites across Europe. Pricing is quoted, so there is no seat price to compare with Aircall's $30 and $50. It suits an organisation that wants a local partner in its own country rather than a self-serve sign-up.

Switch from Aircall if you want a European supplier of both telephony and contact centre with local contacts.

Five9

United States · Digital (digital channels only) $119/seat/month; Core (all channels including voice) $159/seat/month, published; Plus, Pro and Enterprise custom-quoted; per concurrent user with a 50-seat minimum

A larger contact centre platform, with Digital at $119 and Core at $159 per seat per month, a minimum of 50 concurrent seats, and further tiers quoted. Core includes voice, chat, email, SMS and social messaging. That is several times Aircall's seat price and aimed at a 50-seat or larger operation, not a five-person team.

Switch from Aircall if you have grown to a 50-seat contact centre and need omnichannel with workforce tools.

RingCentral RingCX

United States · Standard $65/user/month (annual) or $75/month; Professional $95/$110; Elite $145/$165, published; Enterprise custom-quoted

RingCentral's contact centre product, positioned as one platform that joins business communications and customer engagement. Pricing was not confirmed on the vendor pages we could read, so compare it by quote. It makes most sense if the company already uses RingCentral for its phones, where Aircall stands alone with CRM integrations.

Switch from Aircall if the company already runs RingCentral for office telephony.

Genesys Cloud CX

United States · CX 1 (voice-only) $75/user/month, published; scales through digital and workforce-management tiers up to CX 4 (AI-first) at $240/user/month; $2,000/month minimum commitment, annual billing

Prices by tier, from CX 1 at $75 per user per month (voice) through CX 2 at $115 and CX 3 at $155 to CX 4 at $240, all billed annually. Higher tiers add digital channels, workforce management and AI. It is built for operations with routing, quality management and workforce planning needs that Aircall does not cover.

Switch from Aircall if you need workforce management and quality tooling at scale.

NiCE CXone

Israel / United States · Omnichannel Suite $110/agent/month; Essential $135; Core $169; Complete $209; Ultimate $249 plus $0.25/session, published

Publishes per-agent prices from $110 (Omnichannel Suite) to $135, $169, $209 and $249 (Ultimate, plus $0.25 per session). Built for enterprise contact centres, it covers routing, recording, workforce engagement and AI under one platform, which is a different class of product from Aircall's phone-and-inbox model.

Switch from Aircall if you are replacing Aircall with an enterprise contact centre suite.

Odigo

France · Essential (5-500 users), Enterprise (500-5,000+) and CXaaS (1,000-50,000+) tiers, all quoted on request

A French contact centre vendor with three offers: Essential for small and medium businesses, Enterprise for large groups, and CXaaS as a customised service. All are sold through a demo request, with no public seat price. Aimed at the contact centre buyer rather than a sales team that wants a dialer inside the CRM.

Switch from Aircall if you want a French contact centre vendor with an SME offer.

Odigo, #8 of 15 in our call center software ranking →

Diabolocom

France · Voice from ~$60/named license; Omnichannel from ~$99/named license; Ultimate custom; based on a 3-year term with a 150-license minimum

A contact centre and AI-for-customer-experience vendor whose site covers call centre, customer service and sales prospecting use cases, plus IVR, ACD and a mobile product. Pricing is not published on its pages. It is oriented to contact centres with routing and analytics needs, where Aircall sells licences to teams.

Switch from Aircall if you run a dedicated call centre and want AI quality monitoring and voice analytics.

Diabolocom, #5 of 15 in our call center software ranking →

Puzzel

Norway · Enterprise CCaaS pricing quoted on request

A Norwegian contact centre vendor that describes its platform as AI-native and sells packages by channel and feature, with pricing quoted. It is built for service organisations in retail, travel and similar sectors, and does not compete on a small-team seat price.

Switch from Aircall if you want a Nordic contact centre platform for a service organisation.

04

When Aircall is still the right choice

Aircall remains the right choice for a sales or support team in the US or Canada that wants a managed phone app with 250+ listed integrations, shared inbox, call recording and a Power Dialer, and that does not mind a three-licence minimum. It lists SOC 2, GDPR and HIPAA compliance on Enterprise, and its Essentials and Professional prices are published rather than quoted. If most of your calls are domestic to the US and Canada and you use the CRM integrations daily, a switch saves little.

05

What moving off Aircall involves

  1. 01

Check calling coverage and rates before you sign

List the countries you actually dial and receive in. Aircall quotes international outbound as a bundle, so you can compare it to alternatives only with your own call data. Ask each new vendor which destinations are unlimited and which are charged per minute, and note that the definitions differ (Ringover lists 110 destinations, CloudTalk lists the US and Canada, Kavkom names four countries).

  2. 02

Number porting, integrations and call history

Numbers should be ported before you cancel, because a number tied to a closed account is harder to recover. Reconnect each CRM and helpdesk integration on the new side and check which AI summaries, tags and recordings you need to export first, as Aircall keeps recordings for a set period by plan.

Questions about replacing Aircall

6 answers
What is the cheapest Aircall alternative per user?

On published prices, Kavkom's Basic Pack at €10 per user a month (€8 on yearly billing) and CloudTalk's Lite at €19 a month on annual billing are the lowest here, against Aircall's $30 for Essentials.

They include fewer features, so compare them with the Aircall plan you actually use.

Does Aircall have a minimum number of licences?

Yes. Its pricing page lists a minimum of three users on Essentials and Professional and 25 on Enterprise. CloudTalk's Lite, Starter and Essential plans list a one-licence minimum, while its Expert plan needs three.

Can I make unlimited international calls with Aircall?

Not on the two entry plans. They list unlimited outbound calls in the US and Canada, and international outbound as contact for rates and bundle. The Enterprise plan lists unlimited outbound international calls, and it needs at least 25 licences.

Is Aircall a French company?

Aircall says it was created in Paris in 2014. Its about page lists nine offices today, including New York, San Francisco, Paris, London, Sydney, Berlin, Bellevue, Madrid and Mexico City.

Which Aircall alternative suits a larger call centre?

Five9 (from $119 per seat, 50-seat minimum), Genesys Cloud CX (from $75 per user a month) and NiCE CXone (from $110 per agent a month) publish prices and are built for contact centres. Odigo, Puzzel and Enreach sell by quote.

Can I self-host an Aircall alternative?

3CX can run hosted by 3CX, on premise or self-hosted, and it licenses by simultaneous calls rather than per user. Aircall is a hosted service only.
