Freshsales alternatives: 11 CRM tools compared

The typical searcher took Freshsales for its low entry price of $9 per user per month, then found that sequences, territory management and forecasting sit on the dearer tiers and that AI agent sessions and branded documents are billed as add-ons. They move to another per-seat CRM with a plainer price ladder, to a CRM with a permanent free plan, or to a suite that also covers invoicing or other business apps.

Short answer: Looking for a replacement for Freshsales? Pipedrive, Zoho CRM and HubSpot come first in our CRM ranking. Smaller vendors fill the top three places where the category offers them, and the household names start at place 4. Start with Pipedrive if your reps work a pipeline stage by stage and you want to add only the extras you use. These 11 products are all in Best CRM Software in 2026; the notes say how each one compares with Freshsales.

Vendors can pay for more visibility on this website, for example a higher place in a ranking or more room on a page. Commercial relationships can also affect which products we feature and how prominently. Every vendor link is marked the same, whatever the arrangement behind it. How that works.

Freshsales

#7 of 23 in our CRM ranking

  • Pricing: 21-day trial; paid per seat per month, published
  • Established in: United States
  • Built for: A sales team that lives on the phone and wants one system
  • Not for: A company that has already standardised on a separate telephony stack

Why buyers look past Freshsales

  1. 01

The useful features sit one or two tiers up

The Growth plan costs $9 per user per month billed annually and covers kanban view, lifecycle stages, chat, email and phone, templates, custom fields and basic workflows. Sales sequences, contact scoring and territory management start at Pro ($39), and forecasting insights, custom modules, a sandbox and audit logs start at Enterprise ($59). A team that signs up for the entry price can need six times as much per seat within a year.

  2. 02

    Add-ons priced outside the seat

Freshsales lists the Freddy AI Agent at $49 per 100 sessions and Branded documents at $19 per user per month, on every plan. Each paid plan includes 500 bot sessions for a trial, once per account, and sessions beyond that are bought. A bill that looked like seats times a plan price therefore gains two further lines once customers talk to the bot or quotes need branding.

  3. 03

A trial instead of a permanent free plan

Freshsales gives a fully loaded CRM for 21 days, after which the account is suspended unless a paid plan is chosen. Teams that want to keep a few users on a free plan indefinitely, or park a small pipeline at no cost, have to look at other products. Several alternatives below offer one.

When Freshsales is still the right choice

Freshsales remains the right choice when a team wants phone, email and chat inside a sales CRM at a low per-seat price and is content with the Growth or Pro tier. It publishes its prices clearly, the 21-day trial is fully loaded, and a Freshsales Suite exists for teams that want sales and marketing on the same platform. If the feature list you actually use fits the tier you are paying for, there is little reason to move.

05

What moving off Freshsales involves

  1. 01

Check which tier-specific features you rely on

Sequences, contact scoring and territory management belong to Pro, and forecasting, custom modules and audit logs to Enterprise. List what your team uses today before comparing, because an alternative that looks cheaper per seat may place the same feature on a higher plan.

  2. 02

Decide what happens to AI agent sessions and branded documents

If you bought the Freddy AI Agent add-on or Branded documents, the replacement has to cover those jobs, either inside a plan or as a named separate tool. Neither is part of the seat price in Freshsales, so they are easy to forget when the new bill is compared with the old.

  3. 03

Plan the export before the trial or subscription ends

Freshsales suspends an account that is not moved to a paid plan after the trial. If you are leaving mid-contract, export contacts, deals and activity history while access is still active, and check how the new tool maps custom fields and lifecycle stages.

Questions about replacing Freshsales

5 answers
Is Pipedrive a good alternative to Freshsales?

Yes, for a team that wants a pipeline-centred tool and picks extras one at a time. Pipedrive sells LeadBooster, Web Visitors and email marketing as add-ons and lists over 500 marketplace integrations. Check each add-on's price against the Freshsales tier you use.

Which Freshsales alternative has a free plan?

HubSpot's CRM is free for up to two users and 1,000 contacts, Capsule is free for up to two users, Zoho CRM has a free edition for three users, Attio has a free plan with up to 3 seats, and Odoo's single app is free with unlimited users.

Freshsales itself offers only a 21-day trial.

How much does Freshsales cost?

Growth is $9 per user per month billed annually, Pro $39 and Enterprise $59. The Freddy AI Agent add-on is $49 per 100 sessions and Branded documents are $19 per user per month. Annual billing saves 20 percent against monthly.

Which alternative suits a team that calls prospects all day?

Close builds calling, SMS and email into one inbox, with a power dialer on its Growth plan at $99 per user per month billed annually. It is a different cost profile from Freshsales, whose Growth plan lists chat, email and phone from $9.

Is Salesforce a sensible step up from Freshsales?

Only if the sales organisation needs deeper quoting, forecasting and agent features and has someone to administer it. Salesforce lists Core at $195 and Advanced at $395 per user per month billed annually, against Freshsales Enterprise at $59.
