Unbounce vs Leadpages

These are both dedicated page builders, and they differ on the meter and on how they optimise. Unbounce tiers its plans by monthly visitors and offers Smart Traffic, which routes each visitor to the variant its model predicts will convert. Leadpages allows unlimited traffic on every plan and relies on A/B testing, heatmaps and dynamic text replacement.

Vendors can pay for visibility on this site; it never changes what we say about a product. How that works.

Where they differ

  1. 01

What success does to the invoice

Unbounce sets its plans by monthly visitors: up to 500 on Starter, 20,000 on Build, 30,000 on Experiment and 50,000 on Optimize, with conversions unlimited throughout. A campaign that draws more traffic can therefore outgrow its plan. Leadpages states unlimited traffic on every plan and limits domains and active integrations instead. For a flat bill under unpredictable traffic, Leadpages is safer.

  2. 02

AI routing against a classic split test

Unbounce's Smart Traffic sends each visitor to the variant its model predicts converts best, a lighter lift than running a test to significance, though it only works between Unbounce-built pages. Leadpages offers conventional A/B testing with heatmaps alongside. For a team without the traffic or patience for formal tests, Unbounce's approach does more of the work.

  3. 03

    Where the optimisation features start

On Unbounce, A/B testing and dynamic text replacement begin at Experiment, $149 a month, and Smart Traffic at Optimize, $249 a month; Starter and Build have neither. On Leadpages, A/B testing and dynamic text replacement are in Grow at €115 a month, and heatmaps arrive with Optimize at €229. In both cases the real entry price is the first plan that includes testing.

    Depends on the buyer

  4. 04

Integrations and how many you can run

Unbounce lists 60+ built-in integrations and more than 5,000 apps through Zapier, plus webhooks. Leadpages names 18+ native integrations and 6,000+ apps through Zapier, but limits how many are active at once: five on Grow, ten on Optimize and 25 on Scale, with webhooks and the API outside that count. The reach is similar; the Leadpages cap is the difference.

  5. 05

    Seats, domains and trial

Unbounce limits users and root domains per plan: one user and one domain on Starter and Build, three users and two domains on Experiment, five and three on Optimize, with a 14-day trial. Leadpages includes four custom domains on Grow, six on Optimize and ten on Scale, with a 7-day trial. A team with several sites gets more domains sooner on Leadpages.

03

When neither fits

A team running many ad groups needs each visitor to see copy matching the ad clicked, and neither product is described as built for that. Instapage maps ad groups to page variants and pushes one edit across dozens of pages. Where mobile ad traffic dominates, Swipe Pages builds on AMP by default.

Unbounce or Leadpages: questions

4 answers
Is Unbounce or Leadpages cheaper?

They are listed in different currencies, so they do not line up exactly. Unbounce runs from $29 to $249 a month, or $22 to $187 billed annually.

Leadpages runs from €115 to €399 a month, or €91.67 to €319.17 billed annually. Unbounce starts lower but caps visitors; Leadpages never meters traffic.

Do both Unbounce and Leadpages include A/B testing?

Not on every plan. Unbounce includes unlimited A/B testing from Experiment at $149 a month and Smart Traffic from Optimize at $249. Leadpages includes A/B testing from Grow at €115 a month, while its cheaper HTML Pub publishing plans leave it out.

What is the difference between Unbounce Smart Traffic and Leadpages A/B testing?

Smart Traffic routes each visitor to the variant a model predicts will convert best, using attributes such as device and location, and Unbounce says it can start after as few as 50 visits.

Leadpages runs a conventional manual split test and adds heatmaps and dynamic text replacement for tailoring the page.

How long are the Unbounce and Leadpages free trials?

Unbounce offers a 14-day free trial and Leadpages a 7-day one.

Choose the trial plan with care: Smart Traffic is only on Unbounce's Optimize plan, and heatmaps are only on the Leadpages Optimize plan and above, so a lower plan will not show the feature you may be buying for.
