The structures exist in both; DonorPerfect gives more options within each.

   Bloomerang arranges its interface around whether donors are being kept, with engagement scoring shown on the donor record instead of inside a report nobody runs. DonorPerfect's strength is the detailed report, which requires someone to build and read it. If retention is the figure the fundraising programme is judged on, Bloomerang surfaces it with less effort.

   DonorPerfect's reporting reflects thirty years of fundraising practice, and custom fields allow deep tailoring. Bloomerang's advanced segmentation is limited compared with older databases. A development office that slices its file many ways, or reports on complex giving to a board, will reach Bloomerang's limits first and find DonorPerfect's depth worth its learning curve.

It compiles Gift Aid claims and submits them to HMRC, supports Canadian tax receipting with bilingual English and French service, accepts gifts in any currency and describes its hosting as GDPR compliant. Bloomerang's published plans are priced in US dollars. For a charity answering to HMRC or the CRA, DonorPerfect is the documented fit.

Is Bloomerang easier to use than DonorPerfect?

Yes. Bloomerang is the easiest product in this category for volunteers and part-time fundraisers, while DonorPerfect has a database-style interface and effectively requires training. DonorPerfect is not recommended for volunteer-run organisations that want something learnable in an hour.

Bloomerang CRM starts at $125 a month billed annually with unlimited users, and the full Giving Platform bundle at $242.

DonorPerfect's Core plan starts at $99 a month, with Plus and Pro quoted on request, and phone support reserved for Pro. Archive dormant contacts before asking either for a quote.

Do Bloomerang and DonorPerfect support Gift Aid?

DonorPerfect does: it compiles Gift Aid claims from eligible donations, submits them to HMRC and keeps declarations with an audit trail, supported by a UK office.
