Teams leave Sharetribe when the metered usage on top of the plan becomes hard to forecast, when the monthly price list is in dollars and excludes VAT, or when they would rather own the code and the server. Flat-tier hosted builders, self-hosted scripts and WordPress plugins each answer one of those worries, and enterprise platforms answer a different problem.
Short answer: The first three alternatives to Sharetribe in our marketplace software ranking are Kreezalid, Dokan and WCFM Marketplace. The first three places are kept for challengers when the category has enough of them; the best-known brands come after that, in ranked order. Choose Kreezalid if you want a French hosted builder with fixed tiers instead of metered credits. All 10 alternatives below are ranked products from Best Marketplace Software in 2026, and each says where it differs from Sharetribe.
Vendors can pay for more visibility on this website, for example a higher place in a ranking or more room on a page. Commercial relationships can also affect which products we feature and how prominently. Every vendor link is marked the same, whatever the arrangement behind it. How that works.
Pricing: Monthly plans with usage credits, published; 14-day trial only
Established in: Finland
Built for: A technical founder who wants a hosted backend and a custom storefront
Not for: A non-technical team wanting a ready storefront without developers

Why buyers look past Sharetribe
01
Usage credits make the bill move
Both the Build and Live plans include 1M usage credits a month, and anything beyond is billed separately per 1,000 credits. Reads cost 1 to 5 credits, writes 10 to 15 and an image upload 30, so a search-heavy marketplace uses its allowance faster than a quiet one. Commitments of 10M, 50M or 200M credits start at 249 dollars a month.
02
A developer is part of the running cost
Sharetribe pairs no-code tools with full code access, and the pricing page lists custom code hosting as a separate cost, for example Render from 19 dollars a month. Stripe payment fees of roughly 1.5 to 3 percent come on top. Founders without a developer must hire one or pick a product with a ready storefront.
03
Pricing in dollars, VAT added in some cases
Prices are quoted in US dollars and exclude VAT, which Sharetribe says applies to certain EU customers and in Finland. Live costs 199 dollars a month billed yearly, or 259 dollars billed monthly, and refunds are not given by default. A European buyer who budgets in euros has an exchange rate to carry.

Kreezalid
France · Published
Kreezalid publishes four flat monthly tiers and states that it takes no commission. Sellers, listings and monthly transactions are capped per tier, so the plan you need depends on volume rather than on database activity. Payment processing is billed by the provider. The smallest tier covers a private marketplace of ten sellers, which fits a pilot.
Switch from Sharetribe if you want a French hosted builder with fixed tiers instead of metered credits.
Dokan turns a WordPress and WooCommerce shop into a multi-vendor site. The Lite plan allows unlimited vendors with a vendor dashboard and withdrawals, though help comes from the WordPress.org forum only. Paid tiers are yearly or lifetime and differ by site count and bundled modules, with ticket support starting at the first one.
Switch from Sharetribe if your team already runs WooCommerce and wants vendors added to it.
WCFM Marketplace keeps its core plugin free with no time or usage limit and sells extras as priced add-ons: an Ultimate bundle, plus Group and Staff, Delivery and Affiliate packs. Whether an add-on is billed once or every year is not stated on the pages we read, so ask before you budget. The footer credits India.
Switch from Sharetribe if you want a free WordPress core and prefer to buy only the add-ons you need.
CS-Cart is installed on your own server, which moves hosting, setup and upgrades to your side. The vendor, Bolide Network LLC of the United States, sells a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime licence and says there is no transaction fee and no cap on products or users. A 14-day demo is offered.
Switch from Sharetribe if you want a flat licence with no usage metering and can run the server.
Yo!Kart sells a one-time lifetime licence that you host yourself, with twelve months of technical support included. Four packages show prices and two are quoted. A thirty-day refund applies to two packages, minus a gateway fee and project hours. Prices carry a dollar sign, and the page says several currencies are accepted.
Switch from Sharetribe if you want a purchased script with a published price and a year of support.
Webkul Marketplace is an extension rather than a platform: it needs Magento 2, either Open Source or Adobe Commerce, to exist first. A single payment covers one production and one test instance with three months of support, and longer support costs extra. Commission can be global or set per seller, and approvals can be manual or automatic.
Switch from Sharetribe if your catalogue already runs on Magento 2 and you need vendors on top.
Spurt Commerce says buyers receive the full source code and deploy it themselves. The site shows no plans, prices or currency, only a quote form and a demo booking, and names a company without a city or country. It does not name a licence, so read the terms before you build anything on it.
Switch from Sharetribe if you have developers, want the source code, and accept a quote-based purchase.
Arcadier describes native buyer, seller and admin experiences, API extensibility and permission roles. Its homepage gives no price and promises only a simple structure with no hidden fees; the pricing page we tried was missing and no trial is mentioned. The company is based in Singapore, so cost has to be asked for directly.
Switch from Sharetribe if you want a hosted product with admin roles and an API and will request a quote.
Marketplacer gives no prices and sends buyers to contact and demo pages. It names a ninety-day launch programme and connectors for BigCommerce, Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud and commercetools, with range extension and dropshipping among the functions. Retail media is an add-on. The audience is an existing retailer widening its range.
Switch from Sharetribe if you are an established retailer that wants to add third-party sellers to a store.
Mirakl offers a marketplace platform, a dropship platform, multichannel selling, retail media and language-model product discovery. The homepage shows no prices and the pricing link opens a contact page. The product is aimed at large retailers with a sales team and a budget, which makes it a step up in scale from Sharetribe.

When Sharetribe is still the right choice
Sharetribe stays a good choice when you have a developer and want to own the frontend while the vendor runs the database and business logic. The plans are published, Live carries no Sharetribe transaction fees, and the free-of-charge 14-day Build trial lets you test with fake users, listings and test payments before paying. If your traffic is modest, the included 1M credits may cover it entirely.
05
What moving off Sharetribe involves
01
Your frontend does not travel with you
Sharetribe holds the data and logic while your custom code lives elsewhere, so a move usually means rebuilding the storefront against a different system. List every page and flow you customised and decide which a ready-made template already covers.
02
Users, listings and reviews need an export plan
Real users, listings, transactions and reviews sit inside your live marketplace. Ask how each can be exported and re-imported, and check that Stripe connections and saved payment details can be re-linked before you switch off the old site.
03
Pause rather than cancel while you test
The Hold plan at 49 dollars a month keeps data while users cannot log in. Running the new marketplace in parallel on that plan avoids a gap, though it adds a month of overlap to the budget.
