Odoo alternatives: 11 ERP tools compared

Odoo alternatives are sought by companies that outgrow a modular, per-user suite and by those who find that the open-source Community edition and the paid Enterprise edition behave like two different products. They move to ERP built for one industry, to a vendor-quoted platform with unlimited users, or to a free open-source system priced by hosting, not by seat.

Short answer: The closest replacements for Odoo in our ERP ranking are ERPNext, Dynamics 365 Business Central and Acumatica. Choose ERPNext if you want a fully open-source ERP priced by hosting, with no seat fee. All 11 alternatives below are ranked products from Best ERP Software in 2026, and each says where it differs from Odoo.

Vendors can pay for visibility on this site; it never changes what we say about a product. How that works.

Odoo

#1 of 12 in our ERP ranking

  • Pricing: Free community edition; paid per user per month, published
  • Established in: Belgium
  • Built for: A company that wants to start small and switch modules on
  • Not for: A manufacturer with complex shop-floor scheduling
01

Why buyers look past Odoo

  1. 01

    Two editions, two products

Odoo Community is licensed under LGPLv3, while Odoo Enterprise uses the proprietary Odoo Enterprise Edition License. Odoo's own comparison lists version upgrades, Odoo Online and Odoo.sh hosting, Studio and several applications (Vendor Bill OCR, payroll integration, Field Service) as Enterprise-only. A company that starts on Community to avoid licence fees and later needs those pieces is in effect buying a different product, and that is a common trigger for a comparison.

  2. 02

A per-user price that rises with headcount

Odoo's published plans are Standard at 19.90 euros per user per month (24.90 euros under the other billing option) and Custom at 35.90 euros (44.90 euros under the other option), with a 7.90 euro tier for light users. Multi-company support, Studio and the external API sit on Custom, and only Custom lets you choose Odoo.sh or on-premise hosting. Firms with many occasional users, or with several legal entities, price this out and look for unlimited-user or resource-based models.

  3. 03

A broad suite versus depth in one industry

Odoo lists dozens of applications across finance, sales, supply chain and HR, and says it fits small and large companies alike. Manufacturers and distributors with complex shop-floor needs sometimes want an ERP designed around their sector, which several of the vendors below build their product around.

What each one does differently

ERPNext

India · Free self-hosted; managed cloud published per site or server, not per user

ERPNext is GPL-3.0 open source and, unlike Odoo, its vendor does not split the software into free and paid editions. Its pricing page says you pay for hosting and implementation, not per user: Frappe Cloud sites from $5 a month, servers from $20, or self-hosting for nothing. Partners handle implementation.

Switch from Odoo if you want a fully open-source ERP priced by hosting, with no seat fee.

ERPNext, #2 of 12 in our ERP ranking →

Dynamics 365 Business Central

United States · Per user per month, published (Essentials $80, Premium $110, Team Members $8, paid yearly); bought through a partner

Business Central is Microsoft's cloud ERP, priced per user per month and paid yearly: Essentials $80, Premium $110 (which adds service management and manufacturing) and Team Members $8. It is bought through a partner. It costs several times Odoo's Standard plan and has no free edition.

Switch from Odoo if you run on Microsoft's stack and want a partner-supported, per-user cloud ERP.

Dynamics 365 Business Central, #4 of 12 in our ERP ranking →

Acumatica

United States · Quoted through partners, by applications and resource level; unlimited users

Acumatica prices by applications and resource levels, with unlimited users, and gives no fixed list price: you obtain it through a pricing review with the vendor or a partner. That inverts Odoo's per-user model, so cost stays flat as headcount grows. Industry calculators exist for construction, manufacturing and distribution.

Switch from Odoo if many people need system access and you prefer cost tied to usage, not seats.

Acumatica, #3 of 12 in our ERP ranking →

Exact Globe+

Netherlands · Quoted per organisation; per module and per user

Exact is a Delft-based supplier of cloud software for small and medium businesses and their accountants, with finance at the core and ERP for wholesale and manufacturing. Its site stresses collaboration between companies and their accountants. We could not retrieve a product page or price for Exact Globe+ itself.

Switch from Odoo if your accountant works in Exact and you want your ERP to sit on the same ledger.

Exact Globe+, #6 of 12 in our ERP ranking →

SAP Business One

Germany · Licensed per user, through partners; implementation separate

SAP Business One is an SAP ERP product that our data lists as licensed per user through partners, with implementation as a separate cost. It is not an open-source or self-service product like Odoo, and we could not retrieve SAP's own pages to confirm pricing terms or hosting options.

Switch from Odoo if you want an SAP system sold through partners.

SAP Business One, #11 of 12 in our ERP ranking →

Oracle NetSuite

United States · Quoted per organisation

Oracle NetSuite is a cloud-only suite covering ERP and financials, CRM and eCommerce in one application, provided by Oracle. It is delivered as a cloud service, and our data lists pricing as quoted per organisation. It suits companies that want one vendor for finance, CRM and commerce.

Switch from Odoo if you want finance, CRM and commerce in one cloud suite from a single vendor.

Oracle NetSuite, #7 of 12 in our ERP ranking →

Epicor Kinetic

United States · Quoted per organisation

Epicor Kinetic is positioned for manufacturers, where Odoo is a general suite with a manufacturing app. Epicor says it offers the deployment model that fits the business, with cloud emphasised. Our data lists pricing as quoted per organisation. We could not confirm module scope or hosting terms from its pages.

Switch from Odoo if you are a manufacturer whose shop-floor needs outrun a general-purpose suite.

Epicor Kinetic, #10 of 12 in our ERP ranking →

Infor CloudSuite

United States · Quoted per organisation

Infor sells industry-specific CloudSuites (industrial manufacturing, distribution, food and beverage, automotive, fashion, aerospace and defence), which it says come with 60+ micro-vertical configurations. It is owned by Koch Industries. Odoo is horizontal; Infor organises its products by industry, and our data lists price as quoted per organisation.

Switch from Odoo if your sector matches one of Infor's vertical suites.

Infor CloudSuite, #9 of 12 in our ERP ranking →

IFS Cloud

Sweden · Quoted per organisation

Our data lists IFS Cloud as quoted per organisation, which differs from Odoo's published per-user plans. We could not retrieve IFS pages from our servers, so deployment options, module scope and target size are not confirmed here.

Switch from Odoo if you run a large organisation and are prepared for a quoted, vendor-led project.

IFS Cloud, #5 of 12 in our ERP ranking →

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Germany · Quoted per organisation

SAP S/4HANA Cloud is SAP's flagship ERP, listed in our data as quoted per organisation, not at a published price. We could not retrieve SAP's own pages to verify editions, target size or terms.

Switch from Odoo if you have outgrown a mid-market suite and are prepared for a quoted, partner-led project.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud, #8 of 12 in our ERP ranking →

Dynamics 365 Finance

United States · Per user per month, published (Finance $210, Finance Premium $300, paid yearly); implementation separate

Dynamics 365 Finance is Microsoft's finance system for larger companies, priced per user per month and paid yearly: Finance $210 and Finance Premium $300 (which includes 1,000 Copilot Credits monthly). It is a finance product, not a full suite with Odoo's range of operational apps.

Switch from Odoo if finance is the problem and you want Microsoft's enterprise-grade ledger.

When Odoo is still the right choice

Odoo remains the right choice when you want one integrated suite across finance, sales, inventory, HR and the website, at a published per-user price, with the option of the free Community edition or on-premise hosting on the Custom plan. Its own site claims 28 million users and its code is public on GitHub, which lowers lock-in. If the Standard plan covers your processes and your headcount is stable, the heavier systems below add cost faster than capability.

05

What moving off Odoo involves

  1. 01

Chart of accounts and opening balances

Whatever the target system, the accounting data moves first. Agree the chart of accounts, tax set-up and cut-off date with your accountant, and import opening balances, not full transaction history. Keep an Odoo export for audit.

  2. 02

    Custom modules do not travel

Studio customisations and third-party apps are tied to Odoo. List every custom field, report and automation before you evaluate a replacement, and ask each vendor which of them it covers as standard and which need a partner to rebuild.

  3. 03

    Check who implements it

Several alternatives are sold only through partners, and implementation is priced separately. Ask for a fixed-scope quote for your case, and for references from companies of your size, before comparing licence prices.
