iCIMS alternatives: 11 applicant tracking tools compared

Teams look beyond iCIMS when hiring is no longer measured in thousands of seasonal starters: the price is only given in a sales conversation, the product range runs from ATS to text recruiting, onboarding, CRM and career sites, and the stated customers are retailers, hospitals and manufacturers. The alternatives below range from unlimited-user UK and Dutch systems to German multiposting suites and analytics-led American platforms.

Short answer: Looking for a replacement for iCIMS? Pinpoint, softgarden and Teamtailor come first in our applicant tracking ranking. Ranking order favours the challenger over the household name, so the best-known vendors begin at place 4 where the category allows it. Start with Pinpoint if you still need several hiring streams but want every manager in the system without per-seat arithmetic. Each of the 11 alternatives sits in Best Applicant Tracking System in 2026 and is described against iCIMS.

Vendors can pay for more visibility on this website, for example a higher place in a ranking or more room on a page. Commercial relationships can also affect which products we feature and how prominently. Every vendor link is marked the same, whatever the arrangement behind it. How that works.

iCIMS

#14 of 14 in our applicant tracking ranking

  • Pricing: Quoted per organisation; modules licensed separately
  • Established in: United States
  • Built for: A large organisation hiring at continuous volume
  • Not for: A company hiring fewer than a hundred people a year
01

Why buyers look past iCIMS

  1. 01

Pricing exists only after a conversation

The iCIMS applicant tracking page lists no price and sends visitors to a demo or to sales, and we found no pricing page on the site. Anyone comparing a mid-market tool with a published monthly figure has to run a procurement exercise before the first number appears, which is slow for a company hiring a few dozen people a year.

  2. 02

The product range is wide, and the pages do not say how it is packaged

The navigation splits the offer into iCIMS Hire (applicant tracking, text recruiting, onboarding, high volume hiring), iCIMS Engage and iCIMS Employer Branding, with offer management, a chatbot and testimonial videos on their own pages. The text recruiting and high volume hiring pages do not state whether they are bundled, so a buyer needs written scope before comparing a total with a single-product competitor.

  3. 03

Its showcase customers hire at a scale most companies never reach

The ATS page cites 47,000 seasonal hires a year at Cedar Fair and more than 40,000 a year at The Cheesecake Factory, and the industry pages lead with retail, healthcare, manufacturing and finance. Configurable approval chains and dashboards per login group suit that, and become administration for an HR team of two.

What each one does differently

Pinpoint

United Kingdom · On request

Pinpoint is a British ATS that quotes a price per organisation and does not count seats, so recruiters, hiring managers and interviewers can all log in. Its site lists scorecards, offer management, background and reference checks, onboarding and one-way video, and offers separate flows for early careers, high volume, regulated and global hiring. The price arrives after a request, as with iCIMS.

Switch from iCIMS if you still need several hiring streams but want every manager in the system without per-seat arithmetic.

softgarden

Germany · Published

softgarden, from Berlin, bundles multiposting, a career page, employee referrals, an employer review module and applicant management with chat and AI screening assistants. Its English site lists a pricing page, though the fuller platform is quoted. Much of the support material is German first, so the fit is strongest for hiring in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, including care and hospitality roles.

Switch from iCIMS if your hiring is mostly in German-speaking markets and job-board spend is the main cost to control.

Teamtailor

Sweden · On request

Teamtailor, from Sweden, puts the career site first and states unlimited job postings and unlimited users, with more than 250 features and a price given only as a quote. Structured interviews, smart scheduling and analytics are marked included on its pricing page, while requisitions with approval flows sit in a premium tier, which matters to anyone used to iCIMS approval chains.

Switch from iCIMS if the employer brand and manager adoption matter more than deep workflow configuration.

Tellent Recruitee

Netherlands · On request

Tellent Recruitee, now part of the Amsterdam group Tellent, covers applicant management, collaborative hiring, digital offer letters with eSignatures and pre-onboarding, plus a security and compliance section on its feature list. Pricing is not on the page; it comes by plan after a demo, on an annual contract with monthly payment and a free trial.

Switch from iCIMS if interviewers across the company should score candidates together and a Dutch vendor is preferable.

Workable

United Kingdom · Published

Workable bands its price by company headcount, from 1 to 20 employees up to 1,000 and above, with unlimited active jobs under fair usage and nine native language options. Texting, video interviews and assessments are paid add-ons on the base plan and included in the Premier bundle, and each ATS plan carries 3,000 AI credits. An HRIS with onboarding is sold beside it.

Switch from iCIMS if you want a headcount-based price and sourcing tools without a rollout project.

JOIN

Switzerland · Published

JOIN charges per open job: €17 a month on Standard and €34 on Advanced when billed annually, with unlimited users on both. One ad goes to many boards, and the Advanced tier adds custom screening questions, interviewer pools, Zapier and Make, and an API. Enterprise volume pricing starts at 15 open roles. A 14-day trial is offered, and the company is Swiss.

Switch from iCIMS if you run a handful of open roles at once and want the cost visible per vacancy.

Homerun

Netherlands · Published

Homerun, from the Netherlands, sells job slots rather than seats. The plan comparison shows Light, Basic and Plus at €89, €159 and €249 a month on annual payment, with 3, 6 or 10 slots; the top of the same page shows a different Core and Plus pair, so confirm which applies. Each slot includes branding, tracking, scheduling and structured hiring, and the trial runs 15 days.

Switch from iCIMS if a small team wants good-looking vacancy pages and has few simultaneous roles.

Breezy HR

United States · Published

Breezy HR lists a Startup plan at $157 a month on annual pricing, with unlimited users and unlimited positions. The feature list names distribution to 50 plus job boards, EEOC and OFCCP reporting, interview self-scheduling, multi-language support, mobile apps and multi-factor authentication. Review cycles, goals and 1:1s are sold as a separate Breezy Perform line.

Switch from iCIMS if you need US compliance reporting and unlimited managers in a tool priced for a small team.

JazzHR

United States · Published

JazzHR publishes three annual plans: Hero at $1,000, Plus at $3,480 and Pro at $5,508. Plus adds up to 200 active jobs, AI matching and structured interviews; Pro adds offers with eSignatures and custom reports. The pricing page says standard prices do not apply to agencies, franchises, multi-location businesses or organisations above 250 employees, which rules out many iCIMS customers.

Switch from iCIMS if you are under 250 staff, based in the US and want a flat yearly price.

Ashby

United States · Published

Ashby publishes one number: the Foundations plan at $400 a month for up to 100 employees, with a 10% discount for annual commitment. Plus covers 101 to 1,000 employees and Enterprise 1,000 and above, both on request. Sourcing sequences, an analytics product that can sit on top of an existing ATS, and a Chrome sourcing extension are listed.

Switch from iCIMS if reporting and outbound sourcing drive the decision and you sit below 1,000 employees.

Ashby comes 6 of 14 when applicant tracking products are ranked here →

Greenhouse

United States · On request

Greenhouse sells Core, Plus and Pro, all by demo. Core already holds structured interview kits, scorecards, an AI notetaker, scheduling, reporting and SSO. Plus adds texting and a business intelligence connector; Pro adds an audit log, enterprise data configuration and a developer sandbox, which is the tier that speaks to regions and business units.

Switch from iCIMS if a large organisation wants structured interviewing and audit trails outside the iCIMS ecosystem.

Which alternative for which situation

  1. 01

You want every hiring manager in the system without seat costs

Pinpoint: Pinpoint is quoted per organisation, and its site lists scorecards, offers, onboarding and background checks.

  2. 02

You hire in Germany, Austria or Switzerland

softgarden: It combines multiposting, a career page, referrals and employer reviews from Berlin, though support material leans German.

  3. 03

You pay per vacancy and run only a few at a time

JOIN: Standard costs €17 and Advanced €34 per job a month on annual billing, with unlimited users.

  4. 04

You need US EEOC and OFCCP reporting at a small-team price

Breezy HR: The Startup plan is listed at $157 a month on annual pricing, and the feature list names EEOC and OFCCP reporting.

  5. 05

You want audit trails and structured interviews from a larger vendor

Greenhouse: Core holds interview kits and scorecards, and Pro adds an audit log and a developer sandbox; all plans are quoted.

04

When iCIMS is still the right choice

iCIMS remains the safer choice when hiring is continuous, frontline and multi-site. Its integrations page claims 800 plus partners and more than 10,000 active integrations, the ATS page names Workday, SAP, SuccessFactors, ADP, Oracle and UKG, and the text recruiting page covers SMS, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and WeChat in dozens of languages. It also captures and reports EEO data. If a retailer or hospital group already runs those connections, a mid-market tool will rarely replace them.

05

What moving off iCIMS involves

  1. 01

Inventory the iCIMS modules in use

Write down which of Hire, Engage and Employer Branding you run, and whether text recruiting, onboarding, offers, the chatbot and career sites are live. Each item needs a home in the new tool or a deliberate removal.

  2. 02

Secure the candidate data and the integrations

Ask iCIMS in writing for an export of candidates, requisitions, notes and EEO data, and list every HRIS or background-check connection that must be rebuilt. Agree what is kept, for how long and under which privacy rules.

  3. 03

Rebuild approvals and run one live pipeline

Approval chains, templates and scheduling rules do not carry over. Rebuild them for one business unit, run real vacancies through it for a hiring cycle, then migrate the rest.

Questions about replacing iCIMS

6 answers
What is the best alternative to iCIMS for a mid-sized company?

Pinpoint ranks first in our list: a UK system priced per organisation rather than per seat, with scorecards, offers, onboarding and checks. Softgarden, Teamtailor and Tellent Recruitee follow, and Workable fits where a headcount-based price is wanted.

Which iCIMS alternative has a published price?

Homerun, JOIN, Breezy HR, JazzHR and Workable show prices on their pages, and Ashby shows its Foundations plan at $400 a month. Pinpoint, Teamtailor, Tellent Recruitee, softgarden's fuller platform and Greenhouse are quoted. iCIMS itself shows none on the pages we read.

Is there a European alternative to iCIMS?

Yes: softgarden is in Berlin, Homerun and Tellent Recruitee are Dutch, Teamtailor is Swedish, JOIN is Swiss and Pinpoint is British. Check data hosting with each vendor, since we cite only what their own pages state.

Can I replace iCIMS if we hire thousands of frontline workers?

Partly. Pinpoint lists high-volume hiring flows and Greenhouse its Pro tier for regions and business units, but the seasonal volumes iCIMS cites are its own showcase. Run a pilot with your real application load before you commit.

Which alternative gives hiring managers their own logins?

Teamtailor, JOIN and Breezy HR state unlimited users, and Pinpoint prices by organisation rather than seat. JazzHR and Workable are limited by plan and headcount band instead, so ask about interviewer access.

Do the alternatives cover EEO and OFCCP reporting?

Breezy HR lists EEOC and OFCCP reporting on its pricing page. iCIMS states EEO data capture and reporting. For the others we did not verify US compliance reporting, so ask before signing if you hire in the US.
