Eat App alternatives: 10 restaurant reservation tools compared

Venues look beyond Eat App when the bill grows from add-ons and WhatsApp messages, when they want a vendor registered closer to home than Dubai, or when they would rather pay by booking volume or a flat licence. The tools below range from free tiers to demo-only quotes.

Short answer: Resos, Tableo and Tablein head the list of Eat App alternatives drawn from our restaurant reservation software ranking. Ranking order favours the challenger over the household name, so the best-known vendors begin at place 4 where the category allows it. Resos is the one to try if you want a small Danish vendor and a volume-based ladder starting at zero. The 10 entries that follow are all ranked in Best Restaurant Reservation Software in 2026; each one explains what sets it apart from Eat App.

Vendors can pay for more visibility on this website, for example a higher place in a ranking or more room on a page. Commercial relationships can also affect which products we feature and how prominently. Every vendor link is marked the same, whatever the arrangement behind it. How that works.

Why buyers look past Eat App

  1. 01

The plan card and the comparison table disagree

Eat App's pricing page shows Lite, Core and Pro at 99, 199 and 389 dollars monthly, or 69, 159 and 299 on yearly billing, with unlimited guests on paid plans. The comparison table uses other names and lists covers of 100, 300 and unlimited. Confirm limits in writing before you sign.

  2. 02

    Add-ons and messages stack up

The comparison table prices payment and POS integration at 39 dollars each a month, the waitlist at 19, deposits at 19, smart reports at 39, email marketing at 39 and the automation suite at 49. Plans include 200, 500 or 1,500 WhatsApp messages, and AI carries a usage-based fee with no amount stated.

  3. 03

Pricing is in US dollars from a Dubai company

Eat Application DMCC prices in US dollars. European venues pay in a currency other than their own and deal with a vendor in the United Arab Emirates, which matters for invoices, contract law and support hours. Several tools below are registered in Europe and price locally.

Which alternative for which situation

  1. 01

You want to start free with a small Danish vendor

Resos: The free tier covers 25 bookings a month, and no commission or cover fees are stated.

  2. 02

You want a free tier as large as Eat App's

Tableo: Up to 100 covers a month are free, and deposits cost 1 percent plus Stripe fees.

  3. 03

You want every feature on each plan

Tablein: Plans differ only by included reservations, with a fee per extra reservation.

  4. 04

You want a French vendor with zero commission

Zenchef: Reserve, Manage and Grow plans are advertised at zero commission per cover, with no amounts on the global page.

  5. 05

You run several venues as a group

SevenRooms: Guest CRM and waitlist are bundled even in Starter, with add-ons priced separately.

04

When Eat App is still the right choice

Eat App is a fair choice when a venue wants a free tier to start, a 14-day trial with no card and a long list of named POS, payment and booking-channel connections. Its integrations page names Lightspeed, Square, Stripe, Adyen, Mews and many more, with Google, Instagram, Zomato and Michelin Guide as channels. Venues in the Gulf and Asia, where several of those channels operate, have good reason to stay.

05

What moving off Eat App involves

  1. 01

Guest records need a clean export

Guest history, tags and contact permissions are the asset that matters most. Ask Eat App for an export, then check that the new system imports it and that consent for marketing messages travels with each contact.

  2. 02

Booking channel links must be moved

Google, Instagram and other channel connections point at your current account. Plan a switch day so that no live link sends guests to a closed calendar, and ask the new vendor how Reserve with Google is enabled and whether it costs extra.

  3. 03

    Rebuild deposits, POS and messaging

Payment, POS and WhatsApp set-ups do not carry over. List which gateway and POS you use, confirm both are supported on the plan you want, and compare how each vendor charges for messages and deposits.
