Brevo alternatives: 11 email marketing tools compared

The typical searcher chose Brevo for its low entry price and the free plan, then found that the daily send cap, send-volume tiers and the split between email and sales tools shape the bill. They move to platforms priced by subscriber count, to creator-focused tools, or to ecommerce platforms with deeper store data.

Short answer: The closest replacements for Brevo in our email marketing ranking are MailerLite, Kit and Mailchimp. Choose MailerLite if you want a simpler editor and per-subscriber pricing for a content-led list. All 11 alternatives below are ranked products from Best Email Marketing Software in 2026, and each says where it differs from Brevo.

Vendors can pay for visibility on this site; it never changes what we say about a product. How that works.

Brevo

#1 of 12 in our email marketing ranking

  • Pricing: Free tier; paid plans by monthly send volume, published
  • Established in: France
  • Built for: A large but quiet list where per-contact pricing would hurt
  • Not for: A team that needs deep segmentation and revenue reporting
01

Why buyers look past Brevo

  1. 01

A daily cap on the free plan

Brevo's free plan allows up to 300 emails a day once your account is approved for sending. That is workable for a newsletter, though a list sent in one batch has to be spread over days. Paid plans lift the daily limit and are tiered by monthly volume, starting from 5,000 emails a month on Starter.

  2. 02

    Automation sits one plan up

Starter covers email, forms, templates and segmentation for one user. Marketing automation, A/B testing, send-time optimisation, web tracking and landing pages begin on Standard. Professional adds WhatsApp, popups and push, contact scoring and 10 seats, so a growing team climbs three plans for features other tools bundle lower.

  3. 03

Sending volume, not list size, is what you buy

Brevo prices by emails sent, which suits a large, quiet list and penalises frequent sending. A shop that mails its list daily consumes volume tiers faster than the contact count suggests. Tools that price per subscriber reverse that trade.

04

When Brevo is still the right choice

Brevo remains the right choice when you want one low-cost platform for email, SMS, WhatsApp and a small sales pipeline, billed by volume. Its free plan has no time limit, transactional email through API and SMTP is available on all plans, and the company is based in Paris. A team that sends moderate volume to a large list will usually pay less here than on a per-contact tool.

05

What moving off Brevo involves

  1. 01

    Rebuild automations by hand

Lists and contacts export as files, but automations, templates and forms do not carry over to any competitor. Budget time to recreate each workflow, then run both platforms for one send cycle.

  2. 02

    Protect deliverability while you move

A new account has no sending history. Authenticate the sending domain with SPF, DKIM and DMARC before the first campaign, warm up with your most engaged contacts, and keep Brevo on the lowest plan until your transactional mail is moved too.
