Who gets billed
Whimsical charges per editor and says viewers and guests are unlimited on all plans. Mural includes visitors as one-time collaborators in every plan, but guests with ongoing access exist only on Business and Enterprise. For standing outside access, Whimsical is simpler on cost.

Whimsical's free plan allows 50 new board objects and 50 doc blocks a month, puts a watermark on exports and keeps 7 days of history. Mural's free plan has unlimited members but only 3 editable murals at a time. Mural's cap is easier to plan around for a small group.

Whimsical boards export to PNG, PDF, SVG and Mermaid, and Business adds private teams, SAML SSO and SCIM. Mural's pricing page lists no export formats, so you would need to ask the vendor before signing.
