Price for a small team
NordPass Teams is sold only as a ten-user pack at €1.99 per user per month on the one-year plan, about €19.90 a month; 1Password's Teams Starter Pack is €21.95 a month for up to ten members. The gap widens above ten: NordPass Business is €3.99 per user with a five-user minimum, while 1Password Business is listed at $8.99 USD.

Engineers and integrations
NordPass is a vault for people: it has fewer integrations than the leading products, and its business plans list SSO, provisioning and SIEM connections but nothing for application secrets. 1Password documents a CLI, SDKs for Go, JavaScript and Python, service accounts, SSH key management and CI/CD integrations. To give engineers a proper home for the secrets they handle, 1Password is the choice.

The security argument each makes
NordPass encrypts with XChaCha20, derives keys with Argon2id, holds ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2 certification and cites a Cure53 audit. 1Password is SOC 2 Type 2 certified and adds a 128-bit Secret Key, created on the device and never sent to its servers, so stolen server data cannot be brute-forced. These are strengths at different layers, and neither outranks the other.

Single sign-on and provisioning
NordPass Teams and Business include SSO with Google Workspace only; SSO with Entra ID, ADFS or Okta and automatic user provisioning are reserved for Enterprise at €5.99 per user. 1Password Business includes SSO with Okta, Entra ID, OneLogin and JumpCloud plus SCIM provisioning in its single tier. If your identity provider is not Google, 1Password gets you there at one published tier.

Sticking power after rollout
NordPass is quick and clean, with a simple admin view that suits a team wanting no fuss. 1Password is rated the best-designed manager in the category in our ranking and the one people keep using after a month. Both are pleasant; where adoption is the whole battle across a larger workforce, 1Password has the stronger record.

If the security review insists on reading the source code, look elsewhere: Bitwarden publishes both client and server code and can be self-hosted, and Proton Pass publishes its apps on GitHub and had them audited by Cure53.
