Miro vs Lucidchart

Miro is a broad whiteboard with published per-member prices, while Lucidchart is a diagram app whose paid prices we could not read. Both cap their free tier at three editable documents or boards, but Lucidchart also caps each free document at 60 objects. Lucidchart's strength is its long list of workplace integrations.

Vendors can pay for more visibility on this website, for example a higher place in a ranking or more room on a page. Commercial relationships can also affect which products we feature and how prominently. Every vendor link is marked the same, whatever the arrangement behind it. How that works.

Where they differ

Miro 2 · Lucidchart 0 · open 2
  1. 01

Can you see what it costs

Budgeting is only possible on one side. Miro charges $8 for Starter and $20 for Business, each per member per month on a yearly contract, and Enterprise begins at 30 members. For Lucidchart our automated requests to the pricing pages were refused, so no paid figure appears here.

    Edge: Miro

  2. 02

What the free tier lets you do

Miro's $0 workspace leaves only the three newest boards editable and offers no private boards. The Lucidchart free account allows three editable documents plus 60 objects in each, with lines and text boxes counted. A real flowchart reaches 60 objects fast, so that cap bites harder.

    Edge: Miro

  3. 03

    Technical diagram shapes

On Miro, the 4,700+ shapes covering Mermaid, UML, AWS and BPMN arrive with Business, two steps above free. Which Lucidchart plan carries comparable libraries was not readable for us, so we claim nothing. Miro's entry cost for technical drawing is visible, and high.

    Depends on the buyer

  4. 04

    Connections to other tools

Lucid Software names more than 100 custom-built integrations, such as Jira, Slack, Confluence, Google Sheets, Microsoft Teams and Salesforce. Miro cites 250+ integrations and 7,000+ templates. Miro has the larger count, while Lucidchart's list targets ticketing and documentation.

    Depends on the buyer

When neither fits

If you want diagrams as plain files or code with no per-seat cost, neither fits. Look at draw.io or Mermaid.

Yes, a $0 plan with three editable boards. Private boards and high-resolution export come with paid Starter.

What are the limits of the Lucidchart free account?

Why does this page show no Lucidchart price?

Its pricing pages returned Access Denied to our requests, so we left paid prices out rather than guess.
