Two tools pointed in opposite directions
Mangools sells KWFinder for exact search volumes and keyword difficulty, SERPChecker for localized results with SERP features and 49 metrics, SERPWatcher for rank tracking, LinkMiner for backlinks and SiteProfiler for site metrics. SpyFu describes itself as competitor research for SEO and Google Ads: which keywords rivals rank for and buy, ad test history, backlink lookups and ranking history. Mangools starts from your keyword, SpyFu starts from your competitor's domain. If your question is what rivals spend on search ads, SpyFu fits it more directly.

Testing before you pay
Mangools offers a free account without a credit card, and its blog says the free plan has no time limit, next to a 10-day Free+ plan. The site also lists mini tools such as a SERP Simulator that need no sign-up. SpyFu's home page does not offer a general free trial or free plan; only the PPC Ad Rank Tracker and SEO rank tracking sections say 'Try it free', and the page does not state how long or how much. For a cautious first test, Mangools gives you more to try.

What a price comparison can and cannot say
Neither pricing source we read produced a number. The Mangools plans page confirms monthly and annual billing, but its plan prices are rendered client-side and were not in the text we fetched. SpyFu's home page shows no prices and links to a plans page, and the pricing URL returned HTTP 403 when we tried it. So we do not claim that either is cheaper. The only price-related fact on Mangools is the bundle rule, since the tools are not sold separately.

Refunds, renewals and cancelling
Mangools states a full refund within 48 hours of payment, though not for two consecutive subscriptions. Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until you switch them off, and you can upgrade, downgrade or cancel in the account at any time. It accepts cards, bank transfer, crypto and PayPal through the Paddle payment provider. SpyFu's home page gives no refund window, renewal terms or payment methods, so Mangools is the one whose exit terms we can describe.

Refresh speed against daily lookup caps
SpyFu says rank and ad tracking update every 15 minutes, and it adds a Google Ads Advisor that recommends keywords you have not yet bid on. Mangools updates SERPWatcher weekly, or daily on the Agency plan, and its lookup limits refresh every 24 hours, so a heavy research afternoon can hit a cap. Anyone who needs near-real-time rank or ad movement will find SpyFu's stated cadence faster than Mangools on most plans.

Automation, API and where the company sits
SpyFu documents an API for custom stacks and automated exports, offers SpyFu GPT to bring its data into ChatGPT, and exports branded client reports to PDF. Mangools lists an API, an SEO MCP server and custom data exports as products. On location, the Mangools about page places the company in Bratislava, Slovakia, while SpyFu states no country or address on the pages we read. For a buyer who needs a named European establishment, that gap matters.

Does Mangools let you buy only the keyword tool?
No. The FAQ says all tools are bundled and the individual tools are not sold separately. You also get sub-users and two simultaneous logins only on Premium and above.
