Flowcode vs Bitly

Flowcode is built for brands that buy through a demo, with a small self-serve tier on the side. Bitly is a link platform whose QR codes sit inside a published monthly ladder that anyone can read. Flowcode caps analytics at 500 or 6,000 scans on its self-serve plans, while Bitly counts unlimited clicks and scans and limits link and QR creation instead. Both are United States companies, so the choice is about buying path and limits, not jurisdiction.

Vendors can pay for more visibility on this website, for example a higher place in a ranking or more room on a page. Commercial relationships can also affect which products we feature and how prominently. Every vendor link is marked the same, whatever the arrangement behind it. How that works.

Where they differ

  1. 01

    What the self-serve plans allow

Flowcode's free plan holds 2 codes and Pro Plus holds 50 codes with 3 seats, at 25 per month billed annually. Bitly counts QR codes per month instead: Free gets 2, Core 5, Growth 10 and Premium 200. The units differ, but for a team that wants a stock of live codes cheaply, Flowcode's 50 on Pro Plus is the larger allowance.

  2. 02

    Scan limits and reporting history

Flowcode's analytics cover 500 scans on Free and 6,000 on Pro Plus. Bitly lists unlimited clicks and scans on every plan, so a viral campaign does not change the bill. Bitly does limit how long data is kept: 30 days on Core, 4 months on Growth and 1 year on Premium.

  3. 03

Can you see the full price list

Bitly publishes Free, Core at 10 per month (annual only), Growth at 29 and Premium at 199, and quotes only Enterprise. On Flowcode, Free and Pro Plus are listed, while Growth (from 250, annual only) and Enterprise go through a demo. Enterprise is marked 'Rate card applies', so its unit cost stays hidden.

  4. 04

    Compliance and brand integrations

On Flowcode's pricing table you find CCPA, GDPR and SOC-II compliance, and a claim of trust by over 75 percent of Fortune 500 companies. Its Enterprise tier brings unlimited workspaces and custom API integrations. Bitly Enterprise brings multiple users, group permissions, SSO logins and a dedicated customer success manager. Both meet the large-company checklist, but only Flowcode spells out its compliance list.

    Depends on the buyer

  5. 05

    Who stands behind the service

Flowcode's terms name the dtx company, a Delaware corporation, as operator of Flowcode and Flowpage. Bitly's terms name Bitly, Inc. and affiliates, governed by New York law. Neither offers a European operator, so this round does not separate them.

When neither fits

Look at Uniqode or QRCodeChimp instead if you need unlimited free static codes, or a free plan that already includes dynamic codes.

Flowcode or Bitly: questions

3 answers
Does Bitly charge more when a QR code gets more scans?

No. Unlimited clicks and scans are listed on every Bitly plan. What is capped is link and QR creation per month, plus redirect edits (5 on Core, 20 on Growth and 110 on Premium each month).

Can I buy Flowcode's bigger plans without talking to sales?

Not on what we read. Pro Plus is the one paid plan you can start alone; Growth (annual only) and Enterprise come after a demo, and the Enterprise rate card applies.

Which one lets me create more codes for the money?

On the entry paid plans Flowcode Pro Plus allows 50 codes at 25 per month billed annually, while Bitly Growth allows 10 QR codes a month at 29 per month annual equivalent. Bitly's Premium reaches 200 a month at 199.
