CrowdStrike Falcon vs SentinelOne Singularity

Both are American endpoint detection and response platforms priced per device per year, and both sit mid-table in our endpoint security ranking because neither is independent of a US jurisdiction. CrowdStrike is known for threat intelligence and managed hunting. SentinelOne is known for automated response and ransomware rollback, and wants more tuning.

Vendors can pay for visibility on this site; it never changes what we say about a product. How that works.

Where they differ

CrowdStrike Falcon 2 · SentinelOne Singularity 1 · open 1
  1. 01

    Published entry price

CrowdStrike publishes Falcon Go at $59.99 per device per year, capped at 100 devices, and Pro at $99.99. The SentinelOne page we read starts at Complete at $179.99 per endpoint per year. For a small business, CrowdStrike's entry price is clearly lower, but bundle contents differ, so compare by what you need.

  2. 02

    Managed hunting

CrowdStrike adds expert threat hunting at Falcon Enterprise, $184.99 per device per year, and offers Falcon Complete as a 24/7 managed service, quoted. SentinelOne puts managed threat hunting and 90-day retention at Commercial, $229.99. Both put the service behind a higher tier, and CrowdStrike's is reached at a lower published price.

  3. 03

    Automation and rollback

Our category data names SentinelOne's one-click rollback after ransomware as a differentiator, and says the agent keeps deciding while disconnected. The pricing page we fetched did not mention rollback, so we could not confirm which tier includes it. CrowdStrike's strengths in our data lie elsewhere, in intelligence and reconstruction of the timeline.

    Edge: SentinelOne Singularity

  4. 04

    Operating risk

Our data cautions that SentinelOne needs tuning or its automation acts on things you would rather it did not. For CrowdStrike it points to the July 2024 update that took machines offline, and says to ask about staged rollout. Either way, the question to put to the vendor is different.

    Depends on the buyer

When neither fits

If you want a European vendor or a lower price per device, the top of the ranking is where to look. Bitdefender GravityZone is first, ESET Protect second and ThreatDown third in our endpoint security ranking.
