SentinelOne Singularity alternatives: 12 endpoint security tools compared

SentinelOne Singularity alternatives are sought by small and mid-sized IT teams who bought an autonomous EDR platform and then met its price ladder, and by buyers who want the endpoint agent from a vendor they already use for email, identity or cloud. Most move to another EDR platform of similar scope, a managed service run by someone else, or a lighter antivirus-plus-EDR product with published per-device prices.

Short answer: The first three alternatives to SentinelOne Singularity in our endpoint security ranking are CrowdStrike Falcon, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Sophos Endpoint. Places 1 to 3 go to challengers, vendors outside the best-known brands in a category, wherever the category has them; the established names follow from place 4 in their ranked order. Choose CrowdStrike Falcon if you want the other leading EDR platform and are happy to buy modules as you grow. All 12 alternatives below are ranked products from Best Antivirus and Endpoint Security in 2026, and each says where it differs from SentinelOne Singularity.

Vendors can pay for visibility on this site; it never changes what we say about a product. How that works.

Why buyers look past SentinelOne Singularity

  1. 01

The price climbs a step for each capability you need

SentinelOne publishes Singularity Complete at $179.99 per endpoint per year and Singularity Commercial at $229.99, with Singularity Enterprise sold on request. The step matters because Complete keeps 14 days of data retention, while Commercial and Enterprise keep 90 days, and identity detection and response sits on Commercial and above. A team that picks Complete and later needs three months of history is looking at the next tier.

  2. 02

The listed price is a starting point, not the invoice

The pricing page states that the prices apply to 5 to 100 workstations, exclude taxes, and that purchases go through an authorised partner whose price controls where the two differ. Buyers who expected to order online therefore end up in a reseller conversation, and the number they compare against competitors with a cart is not yet the number they will pay.

  3. 03

A platform when you wanted an endpoint tool

Singularity is sold as one platform covering endpoint, identity, mobile, cloud workloads and a managed MDR service (Wayfinder). That breadth suits a team that will use it. An office that needs protection on a few dozen laptops can find that it is paying for a console designed for a security operations centre that it does not have, and starts comparing products built for small IT teams.

What each one does differently

CrowdStrike Falcon

United States · Per device per year, published for Go, Pro and Enterprise; Complete MDR quoted

ESET PROTECT, #3 of 13 in our endpoint security ranking →

WithSecure Elements

Finland · Per endpoint per year, quoted

Switch from SentinelOne Singularity if you want a Finnish, independent vendor and a services partner inside the product.

WithSecure Elements, #1 of 13 in our endpoint security ranking →

ThreatDown

United States · Per endpoint per year, published

ThreatDown, #4 of 13 in our endpoint security ranking →

Symantec Endpoint Security

United States · Quoted per organisation; enterprise agreements

Symantec Endpoint Security is the long-standing enterprise product now sold under Broadcom, aimed at large organisations buying through enterprise agreements, not at small teams comparing carts. It is a legacy-estate choice, and the vendor page we could fetch did not show pricing or feature detail, so we describe it only as a Broadcom enterprise product.

Switch from SentinelOne Singularity if you already hold a Broadcom enterprise agreement and want the endpoint product inside it.

Symantec Endpoint Security, #13 of 13 in our endpoint security ranking →

When SentinelOne Singularity is still the right choice

SentinelOne remains the right choice when a team wants autonomous detection and one-click rollback and will use the wider platform. Its identity, cloud and mobile modules and its Wayfinder MDR sit under one agent and one console, and it has been named a Gartner Leader in endpoint protection for six consecutive years. If you run mixed Windows, macOS and Linux estates, need 90 days of retention and have budgeted for the Commercial tier, the lighter products will feel like a step down.

05

What moving off SentinelOne Singularity involves

  1. 01

Plan for a period with two agents

Endpoint agents conflict if both run in full protection mode. Run the new product in audit or monitor mode on a pilot group first, and remove SentinelOne from each machine only after the replacement is confirmed healthy there. Agent removal on SentinelOne is controlled through its own management console, so keep the tenant until the last device has moved.

  2. 02

Retention, exclusions and policies do not carry over

Detection history stays in the SentinelOne console and ends when the licence ends. If you may need 90 days of investigation data, export what you require before cancelling. Exclusions, device-control rules and policies are written in SentinelOne's own model and must be rebuilt in the new tool, so list them before you start.

  3. 03

Check who is now responsible for response

If you used SentinelOne's autonomous remediation, decide whether the new product acts automatically or alerts a person. Products that rely on a managed service move that duty to the vendor's analysts. Settle the escalation contacts and the hours of coverage in writing before cutover.

Questions about replacing SentinelOne Singularity

6 answers
How much does SentinelOne Singularity cost?

SentinelOne publishes Singularity Complete at $179.99 per endpoint per year and Singularity Commercial at $229.99. Singularity Enterprise is sold through sales with no published price. The prices apply to 5 to 100 workstations, exclude taxes, and purchases go through authorised partners whose pricing controls.

What is the best alternative to SentinelOne?

The closest in scope is CrowdStrike Falcon, which also sells an EDR platform with a managed service. Microsoft Defender for Endpoint is the practical choice inside a Microsoft 365 E5 estate. For smaller teams, Sophos, Bitdefender and ThreatDown are built for small IT departments.

Is there a SentinelOne alternative from a European vendor?

Yes. Bitdefender is headquartered in Bucharest, WithSecure was founded in Helsinki and says it is privately held, and ESET describes itself as European based. Sophos is a UK company. All sell endpoint protection with an EDR option.

Which alternatives publish their prices?

CrowdStrike lists Falcon Go, Pro and Enterprise per device on its site, ThreatDown publishes bundles, and Bitdefender sells GravityZone Business Security online for 1 to 100 devices. Sophos, Trend and Symantec are quoted through partners or sales.

Can we switch without leaving machines unprotected?

Yes, if you stage it. Install the new agent in monitor mode on a pilot group, confirm it reports, then remove SentinelOne from those devices before enabling full protection.

Running two full-protection agents at once can cause conflicts, so avoid doing it fleet-wide in one go.

Do any alternatives offer a managed service?

Yes. CrowdStrike sells Falcon Complete, Sophos sells 24/7 MDR, ESET offers MDR from its own experts, ThreatDown has MDR and Kaspersky has a managed XDR edition. SentinelOne also sells Wayfinder MDR, so compare the response times in the contract, not the product page.
