Follow Up Boss vs Lofty
Follow Up Boss does one thing: it takes leads from any source, routes them to an agent in seconds and runs calls, texts and sequences from the record, from $69 a user a month. Lofty sells the funnel on quote: an IDX website, CRM and automated nurture in every plan, with lead generation as an add-on.
Vendors can pay for visibility on this site; it never changes what we say about a product. How that works.
you already have lead sources and a website, your weak point is response speed, and you want a published per-seat price with an open API to connect everything else.
you are a US team that would prefer one supplier for the IDX website, lead capture, automated follow-up and optional lead generation, and you accept a quoted price in place of a published one.

Where they differ
Follow Up Boss 1 · Lofty 1 · open 2- 01
Where the leads come from
Lofty supplies the top of the funnel itself: every plan includes a customisable IDX website with the CRM, and lead generation services are sold as a quoted add-on. Follow Up Boss generates nothing; it connects to whatever lead sources and website you already pay for. A team without a working website or ad programme gets more from Lofty, since Follow Up Boss presumes those exist.
Edge: Lofty
- 02
Reading the invoice
Follow Up Boss publishes its prices: Grow at $69 per user a month, Pro at $499 a month including ten users, and Platform at $1,000 including thirty, each with two months free on annual billing and no contract. Calling is a $39 per user add-on on Grow. Lofty shows no figures for its Agent, Team, Broker or Enterprise plans, and its add-ons are quoted too.
Edge: Follow Up Boss
- 03
Working a lead once it lands
Follow Up Boss routes a new enquiry to the right agent within seconds and keeps calling, texting and sequences inside the record, with unlimited calling and texting included from Pro. Lofty includes email, text, a basic dialer and its Smart Plans automation in every plan, and sells a Power Dialer and AI agents as add-ons. One optimises the human response, the other reduces the need for it.
Depends on the buyer
- 04
Fitting into an existing stack
Both are more open than their positioning suggests. Follow Up Boss lists more than 250 integrations and connects any lead source or website. Lofty states over 200 integrations, including direct feeds from Zillow and Realtor.com, a WordPress IDX plugin, Zapier support and a REST API with OAuth. The difference is intent: Follow Up Boss expects to sit between your tools, Lofty to replace several.
Depends on the buyer
When neither fits
Neither works for an agency outside North America: both rely on MLS property data and neither manages listings or feeds European portals. A German agency publishing to ImmoScout24 should look at onOffice, and a Dutch one publishing to Funda at Realworks.
