Expensify vs SAP Concur

Expensify charges per member, with Collect at $5 and Control from $9 to $36 depending on card use and commitment. SAP Concur lists Base from $7 per report and Plus from $11 per report with unlimited users, and quotes Premium. The meters differ, so the cheaper vendor depends on how many reports each employee files and whether your spend runs through the Expensify card.

Vendors can pay for visibility on this site; it never changes what we say about a product. How that works.

Where they differ

  1. 01

What the price is counted on

Expensify bills each unique member: Collect is $5 a month, Control is $9 with the Expensify card, $18 on an annual term without it, or $36 pay per use. SAP Concur lists Base from $7 per report and Plus from $11 per report, with unlimited users, and the price varies with monthly commitment. Many reports per person favours Expensify; many people filing rarely favours Concur.

    Depends on the buyer

  2. 02

Ten staff filing one report a month

At ten members filing one report each, Expensify Collect costs $50 a month. At the lowest Concur list price, Base from $7 per report, ten reports cost at least $70. Neither number covers add-ons or annual terms. Collect applies to customers whose first workspace was created on or after 1 April 2025, per Expensify's help centre.

    Edge: Expensify

  3. 03

The cheap Control rate has a condition

Expensify's $9 Control rate requires the Expensify Visa card for at least half of total settled US spending in a month. Without that, Control is $18 on an annual term and $36 pay per use. A company with its own corporate cards, or spending outside the US, may pay double or four times the headline figure.

    Edge: SAP Concur

  4. 04

    Cards and travel

Expensify sells its own Visa commercial card, with unlimited virtual cards and up to 2% cash back, and has a travel product. SAP Concur's Premium edition adds Concur Travel, and the product pulls corporate card transactions in. Concur ties travel and expense together at a quoted price; Expensify ties spend to its card.

    Depends on the buyer

  5. 05

    Size and buying route

SAP Concur says its Expense product scales from about 10 employees to over 10,000, and offers a guided demo and quote request, with no trial mentioned. Expensify lists self-service plans and 45+ integrations. Large rollouts with procurement involvement fit Concur's quoted route; small teams can start on Expensify without talking to sales.

When neither fits

If you want a card-first spend platform instead of a report-first tool, Pleo and Moss are in the same ranking. If the cards are the point, check their transaction fees before comparing seat prices.
