Perk (formerly TravelPerk) alternatives: 10 travel management tools compared

TravelPerk now trades as Perk, and its price depends on which tab of the pricing page you read: a booking percentage, a monthly platform fee, or a per-user charge that bundles in expense management. The alternatives below range from a quote-based German tool and per-booking platforms to managed agencies that run whole programmes.

Short answer: Where a category has smaller vendors worth recommending, they occupy the first three places and the big brands come below them. For Perk (formerly TravelPerk) users, the top three picks from our travel management ranking are Lanes & Planes, BizAway and Itilite. Pick Lanes & Planes if accounting wants invoices attached to trips and most journeys are German rail or short European flights. All 10 alternatives below are ranked products from Best Travel Management Software in 2026, and each says where it differs from Perk (formerly TravelPerk).

Vendors can pay for more visibility on this website, for example a higher place in a ranking or more room on a page. Commercial relationships can also affect which products we feature and how prominently. Every vendor link is marked the same, whatever the arrangement behind it. How that works.

Why buyers look past Perk (formerly TravelPerk)

  1. 01

The name changed and the product grew sideways

The site we read, perk.com, calls itself an intelligent platform for travel and spend, with Travel, Spend and Events as products and AmTrav listed as another. It no longer mentions TravelPerk. A company that signed up for plain booking now sees a pricing page organised around expenses and cards as well, and has to work out which part it is actually paying for.

  2. 02

Three price structures sit on one page

Under Travel only, Starter has no platform fee and takes 5% per booking, Premium costs $99 a month plus 3%, and Pro $299 plus 3%, with minimum and maximum thresholds on booking fees. Travel and Spend adds per active user charges from $6 to $13, and the page does not say which region each set applies to. Comparing a quote with last year's invoice takes care.

  3. 03

Cancellation cover is a fee on top of the fare

FlexiTravel guarantees at least 80% back on a cancelled trip, but the page shows a 10% charge for the company plan and a variable 20% average for the per-trip plan. Refunds come as credit for future trips, the limits are $5,000 per passenger and $30,000 per trip, and it is open only to Premium and Pro accounts. Used on every booking, it can cost more than the savings.

What each one does differently

Lanes & Planes

Germany · Published

Lanes & Planes sells to German-speaking companies and pairs each booking with its supplier invoice. Its pricing page publishes no list prices; cost follows annual travel volume and the services booked, and the FAQ points to roughly €30,000 of yearly travel spend as the usual starting point. Rail through Deutsche Bahn sits in the same portal as flights, cars and hotels, and receipts can be scanned on the road.

Switch from Perk (formerly TravelPerk) if accounting wants invoices attached to trips and most journeys are German rail or short European flights.

Lanes & Planes comes 2 of 14 when travel management products are ranked here →

BizAway

Italy · Published

BizAway bills a fixed fee per booking and says there are no subscriptions or hidden fees; the Enterprise tier, for multi-entity travel, is quoted. The amount on the Advanced plan is not printed on the page we read, so ask for it. API integrations carry an extra cost. The legal entity is an Italian benefit corporation, which fits teams travelling across southern Europe.

Switch from Perk (formerly TravelPerk) if you would rather pay per booking with no monthly platform fee and no per-user charge.

Why BizAway is #1 among 14 travel management products →

Itilite

India · Published

Itilite charges a flat $10 per trip per traveller, or $7 when the company keeps a pre-funded wallet, and its pricing page lists no platform or support fees. Support by phone, chat and email runs around the clock. Travellers earn reward points for booking within policy, which Perk handles through cashback on its card instead. The company is Indian, so check European rail and hotel depth.

Switch from Perk (formerly TravelPerk) if you want one flat price per trip and a travel desk that answers at any hour.

BCD Travel

Netherlands · On request

BCD is a family-owned managed travel company working in 170+ countries, and its pitch is service: agents, 24/7 customer care and consulting around the booking tool. It splits its offer by company size, with Tripsource for tailored programmes and GetGoing as an all-in-one travel and expense product. Prices are not on the pages we read.

Switch from Perk (formerly TravelPerk) if travel has grown to the point where you want an agency to run the programme, and a Dutch contract counterparty helps.

BCD Travel holds rank 12 among 14 entries in our travel management guide →

Engine

United States · Published

Engine invites sign-up with no contracts and lists hotels, flights, cars and meeting spaces in one account. Flex and FlexPro are named as refundable options, without prices on the page we read, and live support is stated to carry no extra cost. A card with no annual fee gives cashback on hotels and cars. It is an American product, so expect hotel content to lead.

Switch from Perk (formerly TravelPerk) if hotel stays make up most of your spend and you want to sign up without a contract.

Serko Zeno

New Zealand · See profile

Serko's Zeno combines trip booking and expenses in one interface and is sold and serviced through partner travel management companies, so the agency you choose determines price and support. Serko also powers Booking.com for Business, which the site describes as free to use for smaller companies, with 24/7 support and more than 800,000 sign-ups.

Switch from Perk (formerly TravelPerk) if a smaller team could use a free booking account, or an agency partner will supply Zeno.

FCM Travel

Australia · On request

FCM, part of Flight Centre Travel Group, reports a presence in 97+ countries with local teams on call at all hours. Its FCM Platform joins booking, approvals, analytics, payments and expenses, and traveller tracking dashboards cover duty of care. The site names organisations spending AU$5 million or more a year on business travel as its focus and points smaller programmes to specialist solutions.

Switch from Perk (formerly TravelPerk) if your yearly travel spend is large enough to justify a tendered agency contract.

Amadeus Cytric

Spain · On request

Amadeus lists Cytric Easy and Cytric Expense on its product page, plus a travel and expense solution for Microsoft Teams. The page we read gives no prices and no description of the SAP or Outlook links mentioned elsewhere, so treat those as questions for a sales conversation. Implementation involves Amadeus or a partner.

Switch from Perk (formerly TravelPerk) if staff already work inside Microsoft Teams and booking should happen in that window.

Egencia

United States · On request

Egencia now sits inside Amex GBT. Its own site refused our automated request, so we rely on the category entry: quotes combine transaction fees with a management fee, and the account structure assumes a large multinational. Amex GBT's pages still list Egencia first among its booking and management platforms.

Switch from Perk (formerly TravelPerk) if a multinational needs one booking tool with negotiated air content across many countries.

Amex GBT

United States · See profile

Amex GBT shows Egencia, Complete, Neo, Select and Ovation as its booking platforms, the last for high-touch management of complex travel. It lists duty of care, traveller care, analytics and meetings services, with regional sites for the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Spain and Latin America. The homepage links to pricing but prints no figures.

Switch from Perk (formerly TravelPerk) if the programme is large, meetings and events travel matter, and crisis response must be in writing.

Which alternative for which situation

  1. 01

You want the supplier invoice booked with each trip

Lanes & Planes: Receipts can be scanned on the road and travel services sit under a single creditor, with Deutsche Bahn in the same portal.

  2. 02

You want to pay per booking and nothing monthly

BizAway: The page states no subscriptions and no hidden fees, though the Advanced fee is not printed.

  3. 03

You want a flat price per trip

Itilite: The page lists $10 per traveller per trip, $7 with a pre-funded wallet, and no platform or support fees.

  4. 04

You would rather an agency ran the programme

BCD Travel: The site describes managed travel in 170+ countries with 24/7 customer care and GetGoing for smaller self-service use.

  5. 05

Your spend is mostly hotel stays

Engine: Sign-up is free with no contracts, and hotels, flights, cars and meeting spaces share one account.

04

When Perk (formerly TravelPerk) is still the right choice

Perk remains the sensible choice when a growing company wants to book itself, with prices it can read rather than a tender to run. The Starter tab shows no platform fee, only 5% per booking, and the home page lists rail, FlexiTravel and 24/7 support among its travel features, with offices in London, Barcelona, Berlin and other cities. If you also want spend, cards and travel in one account, the Travel and Spend plans list approvals, per diems and ERP connectors, which a pure booking tool will not have.

05

What moving off Perk (formerly TravelPerk) involves

  1. 01

Pull a year of trips and fees first

Export bookings with the booking fee, any FlexiTravel charge and the platform fee, so the new quote is compared with what you really paid. Split spend and travel lines if you use both.

  2. 02

Use up credit and close FlexiTravel

Cancellation refunds come as credit for later trips, and the programme needs 30 days' notice to end. Spend the credit, or agree its treatment, before you stop booking.

  3. 03

Rebuild policies and approvals, then trial a team

Policies, approval chains, cost objects and HR links will need to be set up again. Run one department for a month, including a cancelled trip, before everyone moves.
