Jobber alternatives: 11 field service management tools compared

The typical searcher is a small home-service business that started on Jobber's entry plan, then added crew members and found that the plan with automation and job costing costs several times more. Others outgrew a one-person tool or need a feature Jobber keeps on its top plan. They move to a product with a flat or per-technician price, or to a heavier platform for contracts and compliance.

Short answer: The first three alternatives to Jobber in our field service management ranking are Housecall Pro, Service Fusion and Tradify. Places 1 to 3 go to challengers, vendors outside the best-known brands in a category, wherever the category has them; the established names follow from place 4 in their ranked order. Choose Housecall Pro if you want the same small-crew product with more users included in each tier. All 11 alternatives below are ranked products from Best Field Service Management Software in 2026, and each says where it differs from Jobber.

Vendors can pay for visibility on this site; it never changes what we say about a product. How that works.

Jobber

Why buyers look past Jobber

  1. 01

The price steps up with the plan, then with every person

Jobber publishes its prices, which helps. Core is USD 29 a month on annual billing for one user, or USD 49 with no commitment. Connect starts at USD 99 and Grow at USD 149, each billed annually. Every extra user then costs USD 29 a month on all plans. A team that needs automation and a crew of eight pays for both steps.

  2. 02

The features a growing crew asks for sit higher up

Automated client reminders, QuickBooks Online sync and time tracking start at Connect. Job costing, two-way SMS and custom workflow automations start at Grow. Unlimited photo and video storage, custom reports and crew scheduling with @mentions are Plus-only. The entry plan covers booking, quotes and invoices, and little beyond that.

  3. 03

Card processing is part of the economics

Jobber charges 2.9% + 30 cents on card payments, 2.7% + 30 cents on Tap to Pay and 1% on US bank payments, with a further 1% for instant payouts. For a business that collects most of its revenue by card, this is a running cost on top of the subscription and belongs in any comparison.

What each one does differently

Housecall Pro

United States · Per month by plan, published; users capped per tier; payment processing charged separately

The nearest like-for-like rival. Plans are Basic (1 user), Essentials (5) and Max (8, then USD 35 per extra user), so user limits are built into the tier, where Jobber charges USD 29 per added user. Card rates start at 2.59%, and it bundles more marketing and call tooling as add-ons.

Switch from Jobber if you want the same small-crew product with more users included in each tier.

Housecall Pro, #5 of 12 in our field service management ranking →

Service Fusion

United States · Flat rate per month by plan, published; unlimited users

Prices by plan and not by head: Starter, Plus and Pro all allow unlimited users, from USD 208 a month billed annually. That is dearer than Jobber for a crew of two and cheaper for a large one. Job costing starts at Plus, and there is no listed free trial, only a demo.

Switch from Jobber if your crew is large enough that per-user charges are the main cost.

Service Fusion, #6 of 12 in our field service management ranking →

Tradify

New Zealand · Per user per month, published

Built around trade jobs: quotes with markups, bill tracking, purchase orders and subcontractor scheduling. Pricing is per user, USD 47 on Lite, 51 on Pro and 61 on Plus, with a 14-day trial. There is no flat plan for a whole crew, and the AI tools are on Plus only.

Switch from Jobber if you are an electrician, plumber or similar and quote with materials and markups.

Tradify, #2 of 12 in our field service management ranking →

Synchroteam

France · Per user per month, published

Per-user licences with a month-to-month agreement and two tiers, Standard and Premium, where only Premium includes route optimisation. It leans on mapping, GPS tracking, contract and inventory management. The first administrator login is free once a paid mobile worker is added. It is part of the Nomadia Group.

Switch from Jobber if your technicians drive between many sites a day and routing matters.

Synchroteam, #1 of 12 in our field service management ranking →

ServiceTitan

United States · Quoted per technician across three packages; annual term with a separate onboarding fee

Aimed at larger residential and commercial trade businesses. Pricing is per technician across Starter, Essentials and The Works packages, but no figures are published and every package is a request for pricing. It adds call booking, pricebook, payroll and memberships that Jobber does not centre on.

Switch from Jobber if you run a large trade business with a call centre and a pricebook.

ServiceTitan, #12 of 12 in our field service management ranking →

Joblogic

United Kingdom · Standard plan published from GBP 45 per user per month, billed annually; Premium and Enterprise quoted

Offered as Standard, Premium and Enterprise, with no figures on the vendor site, only a quote or trial request. The emphasis is on contracts, compliance paperwork, asset management and planned maintenance, with products such as Joblogic Compliance. It is more than a small home-service crew needs.

Switch from Jobber if you maintain buildings or equipment and must prove compliance to clients.

Joblogic, #3 of 12 in our field service management ranking →

Commusoft

United Kingdom · Quoted by plan; standard plans on a 12-month contract, with monthly rolling and daily licences also offered

Aimed at generator installers, commercial HVAC and building maintenance firms, and designed for businesses with six or more staff. Service contracts with automated renewals, job costing and digital forms are core features. The site shows no prices, and add-ons are bought separately.

Switch from Jobber if recurring maintenance agreements are a large part of your revenue.

Commusoft, #8 of 12 in our field service management ranking →

Praxedo

France · Per user per month, published by plan; minimum of five users; large-enterprise plans quoted

Per-user plans from USD 39 (Basic) to USD 149 (Automated) a month, plus an Enterprise tier, but only for businesses with at least five users, and implementation fees are extra. It offers AI-driven scheduling, connectors for Salesforce and Business Central, and serves telecoms and utilities.

Switch from Jobber if you have five or more technicians and need scheduling optimisation or ERP connectors.

Praxedo, #7 of 12 in our field service management ranking →

BigChange

United Kingdom · Quoted per organisation, usually on a multi-year term

Pricing is by request. Live vehicle tracking and job scheduling are in every plan, with AI dashcams, fuel cards and fleet products as separate extras. That makes it a job and fleet product in one, with no published price to compare.

Switch from Jobber if you run a fleet of vans and want tracking in the same system as the jobs.

BigChange, #10 of 12 in our field service management ranking →

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service

United States · Per user per month, published, paid yearly; cheaper contractor licence; scheduling optimisation is a separate per-resource add-in

A Microsoft platform at USD 105 per user a month paid yearly, with a USD 50 contractor licence and a USD 30 per resource scheduling optimisation add-in. It covers maintenance agreements, remote expert assistance and Copilot. It needs configuration, and agents need Copilot Credits and an Azure subscription.

Switch from Jobber if your company already runs on Microsoft and needs field service inside it.

Simpro

Australia · Quoted per organisation; implementation priced separately

Positioned for larger contracting firms with job costing and project work, and sold by quote with implementation priced separately, according to the category listing. Its own pricing page could not be retrieved in our check. It is far more than Jobber's small-crew scope.

Switch from Jobber if you run project-based contracting jobs that need job costing at scale.

When Jobber is still the right choice

Stay on Jobber if you are a small home-service business with one to five people, you value a published price, and the Connect or Grow plan covers what you do. The free 14-day trial includes Grow features, so you can test before committing, and 100+ marketplace integrations cover the common accounting and booking tools. If your extra-user bill and card fees are modest, a migration costs more in lost time than it saves.

05

What moving off Jobber involves

  1. 01

Count users and processing before comparing plans

Jobber's price depends on the plan, the included users (1, 5, 10 or 15) and USD 29 per extra user. Competitors count differently: per technician, per plan with unlimited users, or per tier with a user cap. Write down your real headcount and your monthly card volume, and price each candidate against both.

  2. 02

Export clients, jobs and open quotes before you cancel

Move your client list, recurring jobs, open quotes and unpaid invoices, and check how the new tool handles saved cards and automatic payments, because processor agreements are tied to the old account. Run both systems in parallel for a billing cycle, and keep access to Jobber until the last invoice is paid.

Questions about replacing Jobber

6 answers
How much does Jobber cost?

On the vendor's pricing page, Core is USD 29 a month billed annually for one user (USD 49 with no commitment), Connect from USD 99, Grow from USD 149 and Plus from USD 399 for five users, all on annual billing.

Extra users cost USD 29 a month each. There is a 14-day free trial with Grow features.

Which alternative has unlimited users?

Service Fusion lists unlimited users on all three plans, starting at USD 208 a month billed annually. Housecall Pro instead caps users per tier, with 1, 5 and 8 included.

Which alternatives do not publish prices?

ServiceTitan, Joblogic, Commusoft and BigChange direct visitors to a quote or pricing request, and Simpro is quoted according to the category listing. Jobber, Housecall Pro, Service Fusion, Tradify, Synchroteam, Praxedo and Dynamics 365 Field Service publish figures.

Which tool suits maintenance contracts and compliance work?

Joblogic and Commusoft both centre on contracts and planned maintenance, Joblogic with a dedicated compliance product. Dynamics 365 Field Service also lists maintenance agreements. All three are built for larger or more complex operations than Jobber's core plans.

Are there cheaper per-user options than Jobber?

It depends on crew size. Synchroteam Standard and Praxedo Basic start at USD 39 per user a month, and Tradify Lite at USD 47. Jobber's Core plan is cheaper for one person, and the gap closes once you add users beyond the plan's allowance.

Do I have to sign a contract?

Jobber offers no-commitment, one-year and annual billing at different prices. Synchroteam states its agreement is month-to-month, and Service Fusion states no contract is required. Several enterprise-oriented tools do not state their terms publicly.
