People look for an alternative to Culture Amp when a quote lands on a company with a few hundred employees, or when the thing they actually need is narrower than a survey-plus-performance suite. They move to a lighter survey tool with published prices, to a recognition platform, or to a listening product from a larger HR vendor.
Short answer: The first three alternatives to Culture Amp in our employee engagement ranking are Winningtemp, Workday Peakon Employee Voice and Workleap (formerly Officevibe). Places 1 to 3 go to challengers, vendors outside the best-known brands in a category, wherever the category has them; the established names follow from place 4 in their ranked order. Choose Winningtemp if you want engagement surveys with a Nordic vendor and have no need for performance management in the same tool. All 11 alternatives below are ranked products from Best Employee Engagement Software in 2026, and each says where it differs from Culture Amp.

Built for: Employers treating engagement as a measurement problem with real stakes

Why buyers look past Culture Amp
01
A quote, not a price
Culture Amp's pricing page publishes no figure. It says pricing depends on the number of employees, the product chosen and the service tier, and that every product is billed annually. A team that wants to compare three vendors in one afternoon has to book a call first, which is where many comparisons end.
02
Two products, sold as one platform
The page splits the offer into Engage (surveys, benchmarking, action plans) and Perform (reviews, calibration, goals, 1-on-1s), plus a People Science Consulting add-on. A company that only runs an annual engagement survey is looking at a platform designed for more than that, and the quote reflects the module list.
03
Service tiers sized by headcount
Support is tiered by organisation size: under 200 employees get group customer success, 200 to 999 add a one-to-one customer success partner and implementation project management, and 1,000 plus add a results call with a People Scientist and manager training. The smaller the company, the more of the stated service it does without.

What each one does differently

Winningtemp
Sweden · Per employee per month, quoted
A survey and listening product from Winningtemp AB, with engagement, pulse and lifecycle surveys, a heatmap and benchmarks. It sells in Basic, Standard and Enterprise tiers through a quote form, so like Culture Amp it has no public price. It offers no performance reviews or goal module.
Switch from Culture Amp if you want engagement surveys with a Nordic vendor and have no need for performance management in the same tool.
Sold by Workday as Employee Voice, with engagement, retention and leadership-development use cases and an AI coach agent called Sana Coach. The product page publishes no price and routes you to a demo. It is positioned as part of the Workday estate, so the case is stronger where Workday is already your HR system.
Switch from Culture Amp if Workday is your HR platform and you want listening sold by the same vendor.
Canada · No free plan; annual plans published from $4,999 (Standard) and $11,999 (Pro), Enterprise quoted above 250 employees
Now sold as Workleap, with pulse and custom surveys, anonymous feedback and Good Vibes recognition cards. It is the only one here with published entry prices: Standard from $4,999 and Pro from $11,999 plus $32 per manager per month, billed annually. Above 250 employees it is quoted.
Switch from Culture Amp if you are under 250 employees and want to see a price before talking to sales.
Qualtrics sells engagement and pulse surveys, 360 development feedback, lifecycle surveys and a link between employee data and customer outcomes. It is a survey-research platform with the breadth that implies, and demo-led rather than priced on the page. Setup sits closer to a research project than to a quick survey launch.
Switch from Culture Amp if employee surveys need to connect to customer experience data or run on an existing Qualtrics licence.
United States · Free plan up to 8 users; Team $5 per user per month, published; Organization quoted; rewards at face value on top
A recognition product, not a survey platform. Team is listed at $5 per user per month ($50 per user per year billed annually) and Organization is quoted, with a 30-day trial. Rewards are charged at face value on top. It will not replace a benchmarked engagement survey.
Switch from Culture Amp if your real goal is more day-to-day peer recognition and you would run surveys elsewhere.
Recognition and rewards, run from Globoforce Inc. in the US and Globoforce Limited in Ireland according to its privacy policy. It describes AI that turns appreciation into leadership insight. Pricing is by request, and the listening and benchmark depth of an engagement survey is not what it is built around.
Switch from Culture Amp if a large organisation wants recognition data as the main engagement signal.
A recognition and rewards platform from Achievers Solutions Inc. that also lists pulse surveys and voice-of-employee tools as additional features. The surveys are an add-on to recognition rather than a research-grade question library. Pricing is by enquiry.
Switch from Culture Amp if you want recognition first and a light pulse survey bundled with it.
United States · Quoted by module; $3,000 annual minimum for small businesses
Recognition, rewards and a pulse (eNPS) survey in one product. Pricing is quoted by module, with a $3,000 annual minimum spend for small businesses, which makes the entry cost clear even without a rate card. There is no equivalent of Culture Amp's benchmark dataset or performance module.
Switch from Culture Amp if a small or mid-sized company wants recognition plus a basic eNPS pulse and can plan around a $3,000 floor.
India · Per employee per month by module, quoted; rewards billed on redemption
An employee engagement product now presented on Xoxoday's site (Xoxoday is headquartered in Bangalore). It combines recognition, rewards, surveys, a social intranet and sales incentives. It is a rewards-infrastructure vendor first, so the survey science is not the selling point. Pricing is quoted.
Switch from Culture Amp if you need rewards delivery across many countries and want surveys in the same system.
Workvivo by Zoom Limited is an intranet and communications platform with Shoutouts, Badges and Awards for recognition. It is priced by licence on a custom quote and has no free trial, only a demo. It is the wrong choice for measuring engagement, since survey analysis is not what it is built for.
Switch from Culture Amp if the engagement problem is one of communication and connection rather than measurement.
An internal communications platform with an intranet, an employee app, email newsletters and a CMS, and it states that frontline-only deployments are a core use case. It is sold through tailored demos with no price on the page. It is a channel for reaching employees, not a replacement for a survey.
Switch from Culture Amp if frontline staff without corporate email are the audience and communication is the gap.
Culture Amp stays the right choice when you want engagement and performance on one platform and have the headcount to use the service tiers. Its page states the question library sits on People Science, with benchmarks, a Culture Quadrant diagnostic, retention insights, a DEI survey and AI comment summaries, and the Perform module covers reviews, calibration and goals. Nothing in this list matches that combination of survey depth and performance tooling in one product. If a board will ask how your scores compare with other companies, that comparison is the reason to keep it.

What moving off Culture Amp involves
01
Check what you can export before you cancel
Culture Amp bills annually, so the end of a term is the natural exit. Ask for survey results, comment data and action-plan history in a file format before then, because trend lines across years are the asset you lose first. A new vendor starts with no baseline of your own.
02
Decide whether you are replacing surveys, performance or both
Culture Amp sells Engage and Perform separately. If you leave one module and keep the other, the data is split between two systems and the integrations carry the load. If you leave both, the replacement list differs from the one for surveys alone, since most of the tools above do not run performance reviews.

Questions about replacing Culture Amp
6 answers
How much does Culture Amp cost?
Culture Amp does not publish a price. Its pricing page says cost depends on employee count, the product chosen (Engage, Perform or both) and the service tier, with annual billing, and directs you to request a quote.
Does Culture Amp do more than engagement surveys?
Yes. Alongside Engage it sells Perform, which lists continuous feedback, performance reviews and calibration, 1-on-1 conversations, goal management and development plans. An alternative that only runs surveys covers half of that.
Which alternative has a published price?
In this list, Workleap (formerly Officevibe) shows Standard from $4,999 and Pro from $11,999 plus $32 per manager per month, and Bonusly shows $5 per user per month for Team. Most of the others are quote or demo only.
Is there a free alternative?
We found no free plan on the pages we checked. Bonusly offers a 30-day trial on its Team and Organization plans, and Workvivo states it has no free trial and gives a demo instead.
Are these tools like for like?
No. Winningtemp, Peakon (Workday Employee Voice), Workleap and Qualtrics are survey and listening products. Bonusly, Workhuman, Achievers and Motivosity centre on recognition and rewards. Workvivo and Staffbase are communications platforms. Match the category to the problem before comparing price.
Where are these vendors based?
Culture Amp operates as Culture Amp Pty Ltd. Winningtemp trades as Winningtemp AB, Workleap as Workleap Technologies Inc., Workvivo as Workvivo by Zoom Limited and Achievers as Achievers Solutions Inc.
Workhuman lists Globoforce Inc. in the US and Globoforce Limited in Ireland. Xoxoday, which presents Empuls, lists Bangalore as its headquarters.
