Bright Data alternatives: 11 proxy services tools compared
People who look past Bright Data usually run into the same few things: a residential price that shifts with coupons and commitment tiers, a compliance check before the main networks open, and a monthly balance that does not carry over. The alternatives below include small pay-as-you-go shops, vendors with free or cheap tests and scraping APIs that charge per page.
Short answer: ProxyEmpire, IPRoyal and Proxy-Seller head the list of Bright Data alternatives drawn from our proxy services ranking. We open the ranking with smaller vendors and put the established brands from fourth place onward. ProxyEmpire is the one to try if you want prepaid traffic without a monthly commitment and a small trial before paying. All 11 alternatives below are ranked products from Best Proxy Services in 2026, and each says where it differs from Bright Data.
Vendors can pay for more visibility on this website, for example a higher place in a ranking or more room on a page. Commercial relationships can also affect which products we feature and how prominently. Every vendor link is marked the same, whatever the arrangement behind it. How that works.

01
Why buyers look past Bright Data
01
The headline rate depends on a coupon and a tier
Bright Data's residential page shows $8 per GB pay as you go, $7 at $499 a month for 141 GB, $6 at $999 for 332 GB and $5 at $1,999 for 798 GB, with a 50 percent coupon applied beside each. The page's meta description says 'from $5.88/GB', which matches none of the cards. Work out the price you pay when the coupon period ends, not the one on the card.
02
Residential and mobile open only after a compliance check
The pricing page states that residential and mobile networks require a short compliance process before use, which may include an intro video call and checks of company or personal details. Accounts can also be blocked when payment and personal details differ or the login country differs from the card. A team that wants to start scraping this afternoon may wait.
03
Unused commitment is lost, and a suspension takes the IPs
On a monthly plan the page says unused commitment does not roll over while the account stays active. At 100 percent of the balance used, the account is suspended unless funds are added, and a suspension loses the IPs allocated to it. For irregular workloads a prepaid balance that stays put is a different shape of contract.

ProxyEmpire
Bulgaria · Published
ProxyEmpire is run by SWIFT SAAS LTD in Burgas, Bulgaria. Rotating residential starts at $3.50 per GB for one gigabyte and falls to $1.50 at the 1,000 GB plan; bandwidth left over is said to roll over and never expire, and plans carry no contracts or monthly minimums. A $1.97 trial covers 100 MB of residential, and the refund terms sit on a separate page.
Switch from Bright Data if you want prepaid traffic without a monthly commitment and a small trial before paying.
IPRoyal lists residential traffic at $7.00 per GB for one gigabyte, $5.25 at 10 GB and $1.75 from 10 TB on subscription, with pay as you go slightly higher. The page advertises traffic that never expires, so a quiet month costs nothing extra. Between 10 GB and 10 TB the page shows no rates, which makes mid-size budgets a question for sales.
Switch from Bright Data if your scraping volume is uneven and paid-for gigabytes should still be there next quarter.
Proxy-Seller offers residential, mobile, IPv4, ISP, IPv6 and datacenter proxies from one shop. Its site states ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO 9001:2015 certification and gives a postal address in Larnaca, Cyprus. It suits teams that mix several proxy kinds, since IPv4 can be bought per IP for a chosen period rather than only by traffic.
Switch from Bright Data if you need static IPv4 or ISP addresses alongside residential and want a named EU address.
Webshare keeps a plan that costs nothing: ten shared proxies and 1 GB of bandwidth per month, with no time limit and no card. Rotating residential runs from $3.50 per GB on the 1 GB plan to $1.40 at 3,000 GB. A refund is possible within two days of payment, provided usage stayed tiny (under 0.1 GB on rotating residential).
Switch from Bright Data if you want to test with real requests before a card is entered and expect modest volume.
Rayobyte, formerly Blazing SEO, says it owns its residential network and that every IP comes from a device whose owner opted in. Premium residential is pay as you go at $3.50 per GB for 1 to 49 GB, falling to $0.70 from 1,000 GB, with city, ZIP and ASN targeting. The cheaper Scale tier needs a compliance review first. Self-serve products come with a free trial.
Switch from Bright Data if the origin of residential IPs matters to your compliance team and you want targeting down to ZIP level.
Decodo, the new name for Smartproxy, runs from Vilnius. Monthly residential plans start at 3 GB for $11.25 and reach 1,000 GB for $2,000, a falling rate per gigabyte of $3.75 down to $2.00. Pay as you go is $4 per GB and cannot be combined with a plan. A first self-service purchase is refundable for 14 days if usage stayed under 20 percent.
Switch from Bright Data if you want a Lithuanian vendor with small monthly plans and a published refund window.
SOAX works with a single balance of prepaid credits shared across residential and mobile. Sandbox has no fee and no included credits, with top-ups at $5.00, $4.00 or $2.00 per GB depending on country tier. The first paid plan, Builder, is $200 a month and credits expire 60 days after they are added, which suits steady rather than bursty use. It is based in the United Kingdom.
Switch from Bright Data if you scrape every month at a steady rate and want residential and mobile drawn from one balance.
Storm Proxies sells residential ports and fixed datacenter IPs by the month. The site advertises 20M+ home IPs, although its FAQ cites over 700,000 shared rotating IPs, so ask which figure applies. Locations are offered as USA, EU, USA plus EU or worldwide. A 24-hour money-back guarantee applies to the smallest package of each proxy type only.
Switch from Bright Data if you want a flat monthly price per port instead of metering every gigabyte, and accept a thin company profile.
Zyte, in Ireland, charges per successful response instead of per gigabyte, from $0.06 per 1,000, with five difficulty tiers for the target site. Pay as you go has no minimum, monthly commitments of $100, $200 and $500 lower the rates, and the trial gives $5 of credit for 30 days. Browser-rendered pages cost $1.01 to $16.08 per 1,000 on pay as you go.
Switch from Bright Data if blocked pages are the actual problem and you would rather pay for delivered pages than for traffic.
ScraperAPI turns a URL into a page and bills in API credits: Hobby is $49 a month for 100K credits, Startup $149 for 1M and Business $299 for 3M. A plain page costs one credit, Google and Bing 25 and LinkedIn 30. Hobby and Startup limit geotargeting to the US and EU, and unused credits do not roll over. A 7-day trial is offered.
Switch from Bright Data if you want one API call to handle rotation and retries and your targets are mostly ordinary pages.
Oxylabs, in Vilnius, is the nearest match to Bright Data in size. Monthly plans start at $30 and the self-service residential rate is $6 per GB for small packages, $4 up to 125 GB and $2.50 from 1,000 GB. A $5 welcome credit is the only test, and self-service purchases are not refundable. It is a large vendor with a similar enterprise orientation.
Switch from Bright Data if you want a comparable large network from a different company and can live with a purchase that cannot be undone.
Bright Data remains the better choice when one login should cover proxies, scraping APIs, datasets and managed services, and when volume is high enough to reach the Enterprise tier with unlimited seats, a premium SLA and a stated 99.99 percent network uptime. Its about page dates the company to 2014 and lists Web Unlocker, Scraping Browser and Scraper Studio, and the pricing page says Web Unlocker needs no KYC. It can also be bought through AWS and Azure Marketplace, which helps if procurement already runs there.

What moving off Bright Data involves
01
Measure your gigabytes and targets first
Export a month of traffic per zone and note which countries, cities and session types you use. Small vendors differ on targeting depth, and a plan that fits the average month can fall short in the peak one.
02
Decide whether you want IPs or finished pages
If you spend most effort on blocks and retries, a per-page API such as Zyte or ScraperAPI changes the bill and the code. If you only need clean IPs, keep your scraper and swap the proxy endpoint.
03
Run both in parallel, then drain the balance
Keep Bright Data running while the new vendor takes a share of requests. Use up the monthly commitment before cancelling, since unused balance does not roll over, and plan for a compliance check at the new vendor if it asks for one.
