Brands and 3PLs look beyond ShipHero when a yearly contract priced on shipment volume no longer fits, when they ship from Europe and want carriers and references closer to home, or when the warehouse needs more directed work than an order-volume tool provides. They move to smaller European cloud systems, to 3PL billing specialists, or to heavier suites.
Short answer: Looking for a replacement for ShipHero? Ongoing WMS, SnapFulfil and Boltrics come first in our warehouse management ranking. The first three places are kept for challengers when the category has enough of them; the best-known brands come after that, in ranked order. Start with Ongoing WMS if you run a 3PL in Europe and want a published price and a Nordic vendor. Every one of the 11 products below comes from Best Warehouse Management System in 2026, with a note on how it departs from ShipHero.
Vendors can pay for more visibility on this website, for example a higher place in a ranking or more room on a page. Commercial relationships can also affect which products we feature and how prominently. Every vendor link is marked the same, whatever the arrangement behind it. How that works.
Pricing: Monthly subscription by order volume, quoted
Established in: United States
Built for: Parcel-heavy warehouses that want picking and label buying in one product
Not for: European operations relying on local carrier and returns networks
01
Why buyers look past ShipHero
01
The price is a volume contract, not a seat price
ShipHero prices plans annually by direct-to-consumer shipments and wholesale orders, store connections and add-ons. Core starts at 15,000 dollars a year with 25,000 shipments, a typical onboarding fee starts near 5,000 dollars, and contracts run from 12 months. Extra shipments cost 0.24 dollars each pay-as-you-go, so a busy season is a cost line.
02
Several warehouse features are paid extras
Wave picking, putaway, the live warehouse map and Smart Batching belong to Location-Aware Warehousing, an add-on on Core and Growth and included on Enterprise. Single sign-on costs 500 dollars a month on Core. Light-directed hardware is listed from 95 dollars per cart a month, so the real price depends on how directed your floor becomes.
03
The integrations lean towards North America
The integrations directory names Shopify, UPS, USPS, FedEx, DHL eCommerce, Asendia and NetSuite, and its partner list includes Deutsche Post, Bring, Canada Post and Australia Post. We did not find Royal Mail or DPD on the page we read, and no statement on data location, so European shippers should test their carriers first.

Ongoing WMS
Sweden · Published
Ongoing Warehouse is a Gothenburg company whose cloud WMS is arranged around third-party logistics, with each client holding its own stock, orders and billing basis. Pricing is published from 1,299 euros a month including five users, plus 6,200 euros for onboarding. Wave planning and automation are simpler than the enterprise systems.
Switch from ShipHero if you run a 3PL in Europe and want a published price and a Nordic vendor.
SnapFulfil, a British cloud WMS, arrives with directed picking pre-configured and promises deployment within 45 days. It is sold mainly as a subscription, though capex and leasing are options, and extra users are bought as needed. It runs the four walls and expects your ERP to own purchasing. Quotes only.
Switch from ShipHero if you want directed picking live in weeks, with your ERP handling buying.
Boltrics is Dutch and built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, so warehouse, transport and invoice share one ledger. That removes reconciliation work for a Benelux 3PL already on Business Central. The price is two subscriptions, a Business Central licence plus Boltrics per user, with a partner leading the implementation.
Switch from ShipHero if your accounts already run on Business Central in the Netherlands or Belgium.
Mintsoft rates storage, handling and carriage for each client without a spreadsheet, which is why 3PLs choose it. Published prices start at 159 pounds a month for brands and 375 for 3PLs, scaled by users and order volume. Since 2021 it belongs to The Access Group. Courier coverage is strongest in Britain.
Switch from ShipHero if you ship from the UK and want published pricing with 3PL client billing.
Logiwa from the United States is closest to ShipHero in spirit: a cloud WMS for busy direct-to-consumer centres, with a subscription that rises with order count. Its rules engine batches and routes orders without a developer. Hosting is American and manufacturing flows are thin, so European carrier integrations deserve a test.
Switch from ShipHero if you want rule-driven batching and routing for a high-volume DTC floor.
Deposco combines warehouse and order management in one cloud platform, which suits brands that sell on several channels from several sites. Configuration and planning go deeper than order-volume tools, though lighter than the enterprise suites. Prices are quoted, implementation is promised in 90 days or less, and European references are thinner.
Switch from ShipHero if you ship from several sites and channels and want order management inside the WMS.
Descartes Peoplevox targets retailers that must pick hundreds of single-line orders in one pass, and publishes entry prices from 1,500 pounds a month for up to 200 orders a day, with Enterprise quoted. Descartes has owned it since 2018. It is a weak match for manufacturing or serial-number traceability.
Switch from ShipHero if you pick large batches of single-line ecommerce orders and want a published entry price.
Extensiv 3PL Warehouse Manager, once 3PL Central, carries the deepest client-billing model in the category. Descartes announced its acquisition in September 2026, so its roadmap now follows a larger portfolio. Directed work is modest, hosting is American, and pricing starts with a sales call. It fits warehouses that bill many clients.
Switch from ShipHero if billing storage and handling to many clients matters most.
Made4net, from New Jersey, sells WarehouseExpert, which directs picking, putaway and replenishment rather than only recording them, with labour and yard modules alongside. Pricing is quoted per site and implementation takes weeks to months with the vendor. European carrier integrations and references are thinner than its American base.
Switch from ShipHero if your distributors need directed work and labour modules at mid-market weight.
IFS Softeon, a Virginia vendor, argues that change should come through configuration rather than custom code, so upgrades stay manageable, and it adds distributed order management. Implementation remains a vendor project and quotes are per licence or subscription. The interface is functional rather than modern, and European references are few.
Switch from ShipHero if your flows fit no standard template and you accept a vendor-led project.
Mecalux makes racking and automated storage, and Easy WMS was written to drive that hardware, so shuttles and picking logic come from one Spanish supplier under one contract. Bought alone, its module list grows quickly. Quotes cover cloud or on-premise, and sales go through regional offices.
Switch from ShipHero if you are buying racking or automation and want the software from the same supplier.

04
When ShipHero is still the right choice
ShipHero stays the right choice for an ecommerce brand or 3PL shipping mostly in North America that wants picking, packing and label purchase in one product. Its pricing page lists unlimited users, SKUs and warehouses, no per-client fees for 3PLs, a free AI Toolkit with MCP, 7-day support, and renewal increases capped at 10 percent of initial term fees.
05
What moving off ShipHero involves
01
Contract terms before cutover
ShipHero contracts start at 12 months, and multi-year terms allow unused shipments and orders to roll over. Check your renewal date and any prepaid volume before choosing a go-live date, so that you do not run two systems longer than the overlap you planned.
02
Stock, locations and labels all need re-testing
Bin locations, barcodes, store connections and carrier accounts must be rebuilt in the new system. Run a full cycle count, rebuild shipping rules for each carrier, and test label printing on real parcels before the first live wave, particularly if you add European carriers.
03
Order history and integrations
Open orders, returns through tools such as Loop Returns, and ERP links such as NetSuite are connected by integration, so confirm the destination supports each one and who builds it. Ask which API limits and webhooks apply on the plan you will buy.

Questions about replacing ShipHero
6 answers
How does ShipHero pricing work?
Plans are Core, Growth and Enterprise, priced annually and invoiced monthly in US dollars. Core starts at 15,000 dollars a year with 25,000 DTC shipments, and extra shipments cost 0.24 dollars pay-as-you-go.
Users, SKUs, warehouses and 3PL clients are not metered, and onboarding typically starts around 5,000 dollars.
Is there a cheaper WMS for a small 3PL?
Mintsoft publishes plans from 159 pounds a month for brands and 375 for 3PLs, and Ongoing Warehouse from 1,299 euros a month including five users plus 6,200 euros onboarding. Both state prices on their pages, unlike most of the category.
Which alternative suits European shipping?
Ongoing Warehouse (Sweden), Boltrics (Netherlands) and Mecalux Easy WMS (Spain) are European vendors, and Mintsoft's courier coverage is strongest in Britain. Check each vendor's carrier list for your countries, because coverage varies by integration.
Which tools bill clients for storage and handling?
Mintsoft rates storage, handling and carriage per client, Extensiv describes the deepest client-billing model in the category, and Boltrics posts the invoice into Business Central. ShipHero does not charge 3PLs per client, but billing your own clients is a separate question.
Does ShipHero offer wave picking?
Yes, through Location-Aware Warehousing, which also includes putaway, Smart Batching and AI path optimisation. It is an add-on on Core and Growth and included on Enterprise.
Can I try ShipHero before signing?
The pricing page says the company offers free guided demos and a trial account arranged through its team. It does not publish a trial length.
