15Five alternatives: 10 performance management tools compared

Teams look elsewhere when 15Five's three bundles, its US-only data centres or its weekly-writing habit stop matching how the company works. The ten alternatives below range from a free weekly-report tool to review specialists, Microsoft Teams and goal-first products, with the smallest independent vendors listed first.

Short answer: The first three alternatives to 15Five in our performance management ranking are Treams, Weekdone and Small Improvements. Our rule for order: vendors outside the big brands go first, and the largest names are not placed in the top three. Choose Treams if you want a European vendor, a published per-employee price and manager-led conversations. Below are 10 alternatives, each taken from the Best Performance Management Software in 2026 ranking, with its main difference from 15Five.

Vendors can pay for more visibility on this website, for example a higher place in a ranking or more room on a page. Commercial relationships can also affect which products we feature and how prominently. Every vendor link is marked the same, whatever the arrangement behind it. How that works.

15Five

#4 of 16 in our performance management ranking

  • Pricing: Per user per month by product, billed annually, published
  • Established in: United States
  • Built for: Companies wanting reviews assembled from continuous notes, not memory
  • Not for: Organisations that need deep goal cascades or whose managers will not keep a weekly habit
01

Why buyers look past 15Five

  1. 01

Three bundles, then add-ons on top

The pricing page puts Engage at $4, Perform at $11 and Total Platform at $16 per user per month, billed annually. Manager content at $49 per manager per month, coaching at $399 a credit and the Kona Notetaker at $2 per employee per month come on top. A company that wants reviews and surveys has to price two bundles or the largest one.

  2. 02

Everything is hosted in the United States

The security page says data sits in ISO 27001 compliant data centres in the United States, and that the SOC 2 report is released on request under an NDA. We found no EU region on that page. A works council or data protection officer in Europe will ask about transfers before anyone asks about features.

  3. 03

The review is only as good as the weekly notes

The Perform bundle lists weekly check-ins, 1-on-1 agendas and AI-assisted reviews that draw on what managers and employees entered. Where nobody writes the weekly note, the review has little to assemble. Companies that want a once-a-year form with approval steps pay for a rhythm they will not use.

What each one does differently

Treams

Netherlands · Published

Treams comes from Eindhoven and states ISO 27001 certification and GDPR-compliant design on its home page, a different starting point from 15Five's US data centres. Flow costs €6.50 and Momentum €9 per employee per month, below Perform's $11. Goals, appraisals, 1:1s, 360 feedback, pulse surveys, a nine-box and rewards are in the packs; a demo replaces the trial.

Switch from 15Five if you want a European vendor, a published per-employee price and manager-led conversations.

Treams review, listed at 1 of 16 performance management products →

Weekdone

Estonia · Published

Weekdone keeps the part of 15Five that many teams actually use, the weekly report, and pairs it with OKRs. All features are free for up to three users, a 14-day trial starts beyond that, and the FAQ says data is stored in the EU. Annual billing saves 20 percent. Formal review cycles are not what it sells.

Switch from 15Five if the weekly check-in is what you value and the yearly appraisal can be lighter.

Small Improvements

Germany · Published

Small Improvements, from Berlin, lists Launch at $3, Grow at $6 and Elevate at $9 per user per month on annual billing, with minimums of 20, 20 and 30 users. Grow adds 360 and anytime feedback. A 30-day trial is offered, and implementation help is sold at $200 an hour, so the total stays easy to estimate before a sales call.

Switch from 15Five if you have 20 or more people and want review cycles priced in three steps.

Small Improvements holds rank 2 among 16 entries in our performance management guide →

Teamflect

United Kingdom · Published

Teamflect is built into Microsoft Teams and has a Starter plan at USD 0 for a maximum of 10 users. Essential is shown at USD 9 per user per month, and the Professional plan has a 30-day free trial. Reviews, goals, 1-on-1s and surveys all run where employees already chat, which suits Microsoft-centred offices more than 15Five's separate app.

Switch from 15Five if staff live in Teams and the company has ten people or fewer to start.

Perdoo

Germany · Published

Perdoo GmbH advertises itself as made in Europe and shows SOC 2 and GDPR badges. Free covers five people, Premium costs €6.40 and Supreme €8.00 per user per month. In the feature matrix we read, review cycles appear on Supreme only, with goals, KPIs and strategy views carrying the product on lower tiers. Its weight sits with objectives, not appraisals.

Switch from 15Five if the OKR side of 15Five matters most and you accept reviews on the top tier.

Where Perdoo stands: place 6 of 16 in the performance management ranking →

PerformYard

United States · Published

PerformYard charges $5 to $15 per person per month across two products. One holds reviews, meetings, goals, feedback and surveys; the other holds compensation, coaching, competencies, succession planning and career paths. Its pitch is a review process built around your own forms and sign-off chain, with an AI assistant helping draft it, rather than a template you adapt to.

Switch from 15Five if you have a fixed appraisal form and approval route that the software must copy.

Primalogik

Canada · On request

Primalogik, a Canadian vendor, sells a bundle for a minimum of 25 users and takes two months off yearly subscriptions. The list is concrete: 360 reviews, performance reviews, goals and OKRs, check-ins, opinion surveys and an employee journal. Prices are given after a request, and nothing on the page suggests a heavy platform to administer.

Switch from 15Five if you have 25 to a few hundred people and want a first formal cycle without a suite.

Engagedly

United States · Published

Engagedly splits its prices by suite: Performance at $5 to $8, Learning at $3 to $5 and Recognize and Reward at $2 per user per month, annual billing with a $7,500 yearly floor. Performance includes 9-box potential assessment and customisable templates, including 30-60-90 day reviews. Add-ons make the final amount vary with headcount and bundling.

Switch from 15Five if learning and recognition should sit in the same tool and the yearly minimum is no obstacle.

Why Engagedly is #11 among 16 performance management products →

Workleap (formerly Officevibe)

Canada · Published

Workleap, the former Officevibe, sells Standard from $4,999 and Pro from $11,999 per year, each with $32 per manager per month on top; above 250 employees it is quoted. Team health surveys, recognition, goals and performance reviews are in the plans, and Pro adds MCP access, SAML SSO and API access. Pricing is by plan, not per user.

Switch from 15Five if team health and manager one-to-ones lead, and a fixed annual figure suits your budgeting.

Quantum Workplace

United States · On request

Quantum Workplace states a minimum annual contract of $15,000 and gives discounts by user count, so it only fits when headcount is large. Its Signature support level brings a dedicated customer success manager and guided rollout of each new feature. It started from surveys, so results from engagement work flow into reviews more naturally than in a review-first tool.

Switch from 15Five if engagement survey results should feed reviews and a managed rollout is worth the contract floor.

Which alternative for which situation

  1. 01

You value the weekly report more than the yearly appraisal

Weekdone: All features are free for up to three users, with a 14-day trial beyond that and EU data storage stated on the pricing FAQ.

  2. 02

You are 20 people or more and want review cycles at a price you can read

Small Improvements: Launch, Grow and Elevate cost $3, $6 and $9 per user per month billed annually, with a 30-day trial.

  3. 03

Your people work in Microsoft Teams all day

Teamflect: It runs inside Teams, and the Starter plan costs USD 0 for a maximum of 10 users.

  4. 04

You want a European vendor with a published per-employee price

Treams: Flow is €6.50 and Momentum €9 per employee per month, and the home page states ISO 27001 certification.

  5. 05

Your appraisal form and approval route already exist

PerformYard: Pricing runs from $5 to $15 per person per month, and the review process is configured around your own forms.

04

When 15Five is still the right choice

15Five is still the better fit when managers already write short weekly check-ins and the review should be assembled from them. The Perform bundle lists OKRs, 360 feedback, calibrations, a nine-box and career paths, the integrations page names HRIS links such as BambooHR, Deel, Gusto and Hibob, and a SOC 2 audit is stated. If managers are using that rhythm and US hosting is acceptable to your data protection officer, moving mostly means retraining.

05

What moving off 15Five involves

  1. 01

Export check-in history and review records first

Weekly answers, 1-on-1 notes and completed reviews are the part of 15Five that cannot be recreated. Ask support what exports exist for each and decide how long the archive must stay readable. Settle that before the renewal date, not after.

  2. 02

Map each bundle to a replacement

List which of Engage, Perform and the add-ons you use. Surveys, coaching content and the notetaker may each need a different home, and an unused module is an easy item to leave behind.

  3. 03

Check where the new vendor stores data

If the move is partly about hosting, ask each shortlisted vendor for the region in writing and read its security page. Then run one team through a full cycle before switching everyone.

Questions about replacing 15Five

6 answers
Which alternative to 15Five ranks first?

Treams is first in our list. It is a Dutch product with ISO 27001 certification, goals, appraisals, 1:1s, 360 feedback, pulse surveys and a nine-box in packs priced at €6.50 and €9 per employee per month.

Weekdone and Small Improvements follow, and neither is a US-hosted suite.

Is there a free alternative to 15Five?

Weekdone gives all features free to three users, Perdoo is free to five, and Teamflect has a Starter plan at USD 0 for up to 10 users.

15Five's own pricing page lists no free plan; the cheapest bundle, Engage, is $4 per user per month. Free tiers stop at small teams, so check the user cap.

Can I keep weekly check-ins when leaving 15Five?

Yes, in a few of the tools. Weekdone is built on weekly progress reports, Primalogik lists check-ins and an employee journal, and Treams includes check-ins and instant feedback. Whether managers will keep writing them is a habit question the software does not settle.

Where does 15Five store its data?

Its security page says ISO 27001 compliant data centres in the United States, with a SOC 2 audit whose report is shared under an NDA. Weekdone states EU storage, and Treams states GDPR-compliant design. Ask any vendor for the exact region in writing before signing.

What does a 15Five replacement cost for 100 people?

At list prices, Perform for 100 people is $1,100 a month on annual billing. Small Improvements Grow would be $600, Treams Momentum €900 and Perdoo Supreme €800.

Workleap Standard starts at $4,999 a year plus $32 per manager per month. Quantum Workplace has a $15,000 minimum. Quotes may differ.

Which alternative suits a company that works in Microsoft Teams?

Teamflect, which runs reviews, goals and 1-on-1s inside Teams and is free to 10 users. Treams also lists Teams among its connections. Both can replace 15Five's separate app for a Microsoft-centred workplace, though neither copies its weekly check-in format.
