What is Strawberry?

Strawberry is a desktop web browser for macOS and Windows that bundles AI companions into the browsing window. The vendor describes them as AI teammates that work alongside you in the tabs you already have open. Each companion is aimed at a job: lead outreach, candidate sourcing, daily briefs and drafted replies, social posts in your voice, or consulting proposals. You can also build your own companion.

The product targets people in sales, marketing, recruiting and consulting who do repetitive work inside web apps and do not want to write code or wire up automations. Instead of calling an API, the companions act on the pages in the browser, including pages behind a login. The vendor says regular browsing costs no credits, while chatting with a companion and its actions use a monthly credit allowance. Strawberry says it is a Swedish company, which matches the headquarters recorded in our catalogue.

03

Strawberry key features

  • Ready-made companions. Five official companions are listed: Sales Sally for lead outreach, Talent Theo for candidate sourcing and scoring, Executive Ellis for briefs and follow-ups, Marketing Martin for posts, and Consulting Cora for proposals and kickoff research.
  • Custom companions. Beyond the official set, the vendor says you can create your own companion for a task that is not covered. The page does not describe how the setup works or what limits apply to custom ones.
  • Work on Autopilot. Recurring tasks can be scheduled so a companion repeats browser-based work without you opening it each time. The vendor says companions can run around the clock and learn your preferences and workflows.
  • Meeting notes without a bot. The browser produces summaries and follow-up actions from meetings without sending a recording bot into the call. The vendor names Meet, Zoom and Teams among the video tools it works with.
  • Persistent memory. Companions keep details, habits, people and projects between sessions, so a request does not need the full background each time. The vendor lists this as a core part of how the teammates improve.
  • Visual outputs. Companions can build branded slide decks, posters, infographics and dashboards from web sources, including pages that sit behind logins, according to the vendor.
  • Permission controls. You decide per app and per action what a companion may do without asking first, which limits unattended changes in tools such as email or a CRM.
04

Who Strawberry suits

  • A recruiter at a 10-person staffing firm. Talent Theo is the companion built for sourcing and scoring candidates. A recruiter could keep LinkedIn and an applicant tracker open and ask it to shortlist profiles, with the permission controls deciding whether it may message anyone.
  • A founder who sells directly. Sales Sally handles lead outreach from inside the browser. A founder with HubSpot and Gmail connected could have it research prospects and draft messages, then review them before anything is sent.
  • A freelance consultant. Consulting Cora covers proposals and kickoff research, and meeting notes arrive without a bot joining the call. A solo consultant can prepare a client brief from public pages and keep follow-ups in one place.
05

Getting started with Strawberry

The desktop app is free to install on macOS and Windows and the Free plan needs no payment. The vendor says you can import bookmarks, passwords and Chrome extensions from your old browser, so the switch does not start from zero. You then connect the apps you want companions to use, such as Gmail, Slack, Google Calendar, Linear, HubSpot, Notion, Google Sheets or LinkedIn, and choose which actions each may take without asking.

The default search engine is Google Search and you can change it. The vendor does not publish a setup time or a training course; the learning curve comes from deciding which tasks to hand to a companion and how much autonomy to grant.

Strawberry pros and cons in practice

Works well
  • Companions work in the tabs you already use, so no API keys or workflow builder are needed for browser-based tasks.
  • Per-app and per-action permissions give a clear way to keep a companion from sending or changing things unattended.
  • Regular browsing costs no credits, so the credit meter only runs when companions are in use.
  • The Free plan with 500 credits lets you test a real task before paying anything.
Gets in the way
  • Credit consumption per task is not published, so budgeting for the paid tiers means testing your own workload first.
  • It is a separate browser, so teams standardised on Chrome policies or managed devices must adopt a new app.
  • Only macOS and Windows are listed; there is no Linux or mobile version on the pages we read.
  • The default search engine is Google Search, which may matter to privacy-focused teams until they change it.
