Vendors can pay for visibility on this site; it never changes what we say about a product. How that works.

Where they differ

Mangomint 0 · Boulevard 1 · open 4
  1. 01

    Stopping no-shows

Mangomint collects a card on file, a deposit or full payment at booking, with prepayment rules set per service and automated confirmations. Boulevard requires a card to book, takes a percentage deposit configured per service or staff member, and lets the business charge late-cancellation fees. Both cover the essentials; Mangomint's edge is the automation around confirmations, Boulevard's the card required by default.

    Depends on the buyer

  2. 02

    Scheduling rooms and equipment

Both do this. Boulevard groups rooms, chairs and machines into categories and books one resource from each required category for the whole service, so self-booking cannot create impossible days. Mangomint attaches resource requirements to services, sets quantities and availability hours, and can sell resource-only services such as a sauna with no staff member attached. Neither has a clear lead.

    What a growing team costs

Mangomint lists 120 dollars a month per location plus 10 per user, so the bill climbs steadily with headcount. Boulevard lists Essentials at 143 dollars per location for up to five providers, then Premier at 293 and Prestige at 410 with unlimited professionals, currently discounted for new customers. Small teams pay similar sums; very large teams favour Boulevard's flat tiers.

  4. 04

    Management reporting

Mangomint reports on staff productivity, pre-bookings, average ticket, client retention at 90 and 180 days, payroll and sales. Boulevard adds summary dashboards, custom report views filtered by location, role or person, and a Snowflake data share that feeds live data to outside analytics tools. For a multi-site operator with its own analysts, Boulevard goes a step further.

  5. 05

Extras on top of the plan

Each prices some functions separately. Mangomint charges 70 dollars a month per phone line, 30 to 300 for marketing credits and 50 plus 8 per worker for payroll processing. Boulevard charges 65 dollars per location for forms unless you take Prestige, 45 for the QuickBooks integration and 45 per prescriber for ePrescribe. Which costs more depends on the extras you use.

03

When neither fits

Both are built for American payment and tax conventions and have little European footing. A European salon should look at Phorest, which is Irish and built around rebooking and retention, or Shore for German-speaking salons wanting booking, reminders and payments on one contract.

Mangomint or Boulevard: questions

4 answers
Is Mangomint cheaper than Boulevard?

It depends on team size. Mangomint lists 120 dollars a month per location plus 10 per user.

Boulevard lists 143 dollars per location for up to five providers, and 293 or 410 at list price for unlimited professionals. Boulevard takes 10 percent off for annual commitment.

Which is better for a medspa, Mangomint or Boulevard?

Both target medspas. Boulevard schedules rooms and devices by category, sells an ePrescribe add-on per prescriber and includes forms in its Prestige tier.

Mangomint lists forms and charting among its features and handles rooms and equipment through its Resources app. Boulevard has the more medical-specific add-ons.

Can European salons use Mangomint or Boulevard?

Both are built for the United States. Mangomint and Boulevard publish prices in US dollars only, Mangomint's payment processing, tax handling and integrations assume the American market, and Boulevard has little European presence or payment support.

A European salon is better served by a product with local card and VAT handling.

What do card payments cost with Mangomint?

Mangomint lists 2.45 percent plus 15 cents for in-person card payments and 2.90 percent plus 30 cents for virtual ones, with custom rates for eligible businesses. Boulevard runs its own payment processing and batches deposits daily, without listing a rate on its pricing page.
