Most people who look beyond Sharesight run into its ladder of holding caps and plan gates, or want a tracker whose data stays on their own machine or inside the EU. The tools below range from desktop software and broker-export importers to German-stored apps, net worth trackers and free watchlist sites.
Short answer: The first three alternatives to Sharesight in our portfolio tracker apps ranking are Portseido, Parqet and Portfolio Performance. Our rule for order: vendors outside the big brands go first, and the largest names are not placed in the top three. Choose Portseido if you keep your own broker exports and want returns compared with an index. Below are 10 alternatives, each taken from the Best Portfolio Tracker Apps in 2026 ranking, with its main difference from Sharesight.
Vendors can pay for more visibility on this website, for example a higher place in a ranking or more room on a page. Commercial relationships can also affect which products we feature and how prominently. Every vendor link is marked the same, whatever the arrangement behind it. How that works.
Pricing: Four published tiers priced in USD: Free, Starter, Standard and Premium, plus a separate Business plan for advisors sold by demo
Established in: Not stated by the vendor
Built for: Investors needing tax reports and dividend tracking across many brokers
Not for: Investors holding over 30 positions who want the cheapest plan

Why buyers look past Sharesight
01
Holding caps decide which plan you need
Sharesight's pricing page counts holdings, closed ones included: Free allows 10, Starter 30, and only Standard at $18 a month on annual billing removes the cap. An investor with a few dozen positions and some sold lines can reach the cap sooner than expected, and the jump from Starter at $7 to Standard is the one that matters.
02
Currency and several portfolios sit higher up
Multi-currency valuation is listed for Standard and Premium only, and Starter and Free hold a single portfolio. Anyone with accounts in different countries or a separate portfolio for a partner or a pension therefore pays for the third tier. Premium, at $23.25 a month annually, adds up to 10 portfolios and the Multi-Period report.
03
What we could not confirm on the pages we read
The pricing page shows US dollars only and mentions no free trial, only a demo portfolio. The brokers and tax pages we read name Robinhood, Charles Schwab and Interactive Brokers but give no broker count, no market list and no tax report names. Check the supported brokers page for your own accounts before paying.
you only need a free watchlist and are happy with US-based terms

Portseido
Thailand · Published
Portseido takes CSV exports from brokers, among them Interactive Brokers, DEGIRO and Trading 212, and scores money-weighted returns against market indices. Its free plan stops at 100 transactions and one portfolio, while Plus lifts the transaction cap and Pro opens several portfolios. Prices on the page are shown for annual billing, and a 14-day trial needs no card.
Switch from Sharesight if you keep your own broker exports and want returns compared with an index.
Parqet Fintech GmbH states that its data is stored in Germany. Basis costs nothing and holds one portfolio with two integrations; Plus raises that to five portfolios and adds the X-Ray ETF overlap view and a tax dashboard. Autosync is named for Trade Republic and Scalable Capital. Plus and Investor have 14-day trials and annual discounts.
Switch from Sharesight if you hold ETFs at German brokers and want overlap and a tax dashboard.
Nothing here is hosted: Portfolio Performance is a desktop programme for Windows, macOS and Linux, published under the EPL-1.0 licence, with a mobile app beside it. It calculates True-Time Weighted Return or IRR per account and keeps everything in an XML file you can export as CSV or JSON. The site lists no plans, prices, broker formats or country.
Switch from Sharesight if you want a local file you own and no holding cap at all.
Wealthfolio is an AGPL-3.0 project that runs locally on macOS, Windows, Linux, iPhone, iPad and Android, and a browser version can be self-hosted with Docker. The core app needs no account or payment. Optional Connect plans add sync and brokerage imports in three monthly steps. The site names no developer or location, so due diligence is up to you.
Switch from Sharesight if you prefer software that works offline and can run on your own server.
QUIN Technologies GmbH, with a Berlin address, sells Getquin on three yearly tiers whose final amount depends on billing country. The free entry tier already allows unlimited bank and broker connections with net worth and essential analysis, which answers Sharesight's caps directly. Premium brings AI portfolio analysis and dividend forecasts; Wealth adds planning and a retirement plan.
Switch from Sharesight if you want unlimited linked accounts without paying for a larger tier.
Kubera charges a flat yearly fee for Essentials rather than a slice of your assets, and a 14-day trial is offered. Beyond listed shares it records crypto in wallets, DeFi and NFTs, plus private investments with capital calls and IRR. The Black tier, for trusts and several entities, costs ten times Essentials. Company base and parent are not stated.
Switch from Sharesight if your wealth includes crypto, private deals or family entities.
Simply Wall Street Pty Ltd is based in Sydney and describes itself as a Corporate Authorised Representative of Sanlam Private Wealth Pty Ltd. Its portfolio view covers realised and unrealised gains, dividends, currency effects and IRR, with the Portfolio Snowflake as a health check. Research reports reach 120k stocks, using S&P Global data. We could not load its plan prices.
Switch from Sharesight if you want company research next to your holdings and accept unverified prices.
Stock Events GmbH centres its app on dividends and a calendar of earnings and economic events. The free level stops at 15 stocks and five AI messages a day, with extra spots earned through referrals. Pro is a yearly charge with a 7-day trial for unlimited watchlists, but connections need a separate weekly add-on, so the bill has two parts.
Switch from Sharesight if you care more about a dividend and earnings calendar than tax reports.
Finary mixes tracking with budgeting, a subscription scanner and dividend tracking, and claims connections to over 20,000 institutions without naming any. It also sells crypto trading, life insurance underwritten by Generali and private wealth management, so tracking is one product among several. Its pricing page returned a 404 when we looked, so plan costs stay unverified.
Switch from Sharesight if you want investments and household budgeting in one wealth app.
Yahoo Finance LLC runs a free site where a sign-in gives you portfolios and watchlists, charts and screeners. Plus plans follow: Bronze unlocks portfolio performance and risk views, Silver the Morningstar Rating and stock picks, and Gold CSV download and long financial history, with a 7-day Gold trial. The page shows only a dollar sign, and no portfolio limit.
Switch from Sharesight if you only need a free watchlist and are happy with US-based terms.
Portfolio Performance: Sharesight removes the cap only at Standard, $18 a month annually. Portfolio Performance is open source under EPL-1.0, and its site lists no prices and no holding limit.
02
You track ETFs at German brokers
Parqet: Parqet states German storage, and Plus adds the X-Ray ETF overlap view and a tax dashboard. Autosync is named for Trade Republic and Scalable Capital.
03
You import from several broker files
Portseido: Portseido names Interactive Brokers, DEGIRO and Trading 212 among over 100 brokers it claims, and its 14-day trial needs no card.
04
You want to link many accounts for free
Getquin: Getquin's free entry tier allows unlimited bank and broker connections, with net worth and essential analysis, from a Berlin-registered company.
05
You also own crypto and private investments
Kubera: Kubera records crypto across wallets, DeFi and NFTs, plus private investments with capital calls and IRR, for a flat yearly fee on Essentials.

When Sharesight is still the right choice
Sharesight stays a sensible choice for an investor who needs tax-oriented reporting on the paid plans, automatic dividend handling on every plan, and a plan ladder that is easy to read. If you hold fewer than 30 positions in one portfolio and one currency, Starter at $7 a month on annual billing may cover you, so check that before leaving. Its Business plan for advisors, sold by demo, is a further reason accountants stay.
05
What moving off Sharesight involves
01
Export the trade history before closing
Trades and dividends have to leave Sharesight in a form the new tool reads. Start with a full export of every portfolio, closed holdings included, then import a single account first and compare cost base and dividend totals with the old figures.
02
Cost base and tax reports will not match at once
Different tools treat splits, fees and currency conversion differently, so gains can differ slightly. Keep the old reports for the tax year in progress and ask your accountant which tool's figures count before filing.
03
Check broker support for your own accounts
Some alternatives sync only a few named brokers and rely on CSV files for the rest. Test one real export from each broker before you cancel the paid plan.

Questions about replacing Sharesight
6 answers
What does Sharesight cost?
Its pricing page lists Free, then Starter at $7 a month billed annually ($9.33 monthly), Standard at $18 ($24 monthly) and Premium at $23.25 ($31 monthly), all in US dollars. Annual billing saves about 25 percent. Business pricing is available by demo only.
How many holdings does Sharesight allow?
Free allows 10 holdings, Starter 30, and Standard and Premium have no cap. The count includes closed holdings. Portfolios are limited to 1 on Free and Starter, 4 on Standard and 10 on Premium.
Is there a free tracker with no holding cap?
Portfolio Performance is open source and its site lists no plans or prices. Wealthfolio's core app needs no account or payment. Getquin's free tier allows unlimited connections. Each has its own limits, which the entries above describe.
Which alternatives store data in Germany?
Parqet Fintech GmbH states German storage, and QUIN Technologies GmbH has a Berlin address for Getquin. Stock Events is run by a GmbH, though its country is not stated on the pages we read.
Can I keep my data on my own computer?
Yes. Portfolio Performance stores a local XML file, and Wealthfolio runs locally with nothing in a cloud account unless you add its Connect service. Both let you export your data.
Does Sharesight offer a free trial?
The pricing page we read mentions none. It offers a free plan and a demo portfolio with sample data to preview advanced reports. Portseido, Parqet and Kubera list trials of 14 days.
