02

What is Securonix?

Securonix is a security analytics company whose main product, Unified Defense SIEM, is a cloud-native platform for threat detection and response. The vendor says it combines security information and event management (SIEM), user and entity behavior analytics (UEBA), security orchestration and response (SOAR) and a threat intelligence platform in one system, with agentic AI assistants layered on top. The buyer is usually a security operations center that wants fewer separate tools and less alert noise.

Securonix also sells a Data Pipeline Manager that filters and routes log data before ingestion, which the vendor positions as a way to control storage cost. It targets enterprises and managed security service providers, and its product pages name financial services, healthcare, manufacturing and energy as focus industries. The vendor states it has been named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for SIEM for five consecutive years through 2024.

03

Securonix key features

  • Unified SIEM, UEBA, SOAR and TIP. One platform covers log collection, behavioral analytics, response automation and threat intelligence. The vendor says analysts ingest data once and reuse it for detection, investigation and response, and that this removes up to 60 percent of tool sprawl.
  • Agentic AI analyst. The vendor describes modular AI agents, including one called Sam, that enrich alerts, triage cases and suggest responses. It adds that guidance is explained step by step, and an ISO/IEC 42001 certified governance model sets approval and oversight boundaries.
  • Embedded SOAR. Response playbooks run inside the SIEM interface rather than a separate product. Out-of-the-box playbooks cover common cases, and a Playbook Designer builds custom ones. The vendor says licensing adds no per-user or per-playbook charge.
  • UEBA and insider threat detection. Behavioral analytics baseline users and entities and flag deviations. The vendor offers use-case pages for insider threat, MITRE ATT&CK alignment and electronic medical record monitoring in hospitals.
  • Data Pipeline Manager. A pre-ingestion layer that reduces noise and routes data to the right destination. The vendor says it lowers ingestion cost and helps avoid lock-in, which matters for buyers who hold logs in more than one place.
  • 365 days of hot data. The vendor states that a year of telemetry stays searchable in seconds with no archive restore step. It frames this as a benefit for long investigations and for audits that look back across many months.
  • Compliance reporting. Dashboards map detections and responses to frameworks such as SEC, GDPR and DORA, according to the vendor. Evidence is time-stamped and exportable, which the vendor says reduces manual collection before audits.
04

Who Securonix suits

  • A bank SOC replacing separate SIEM and SOAR tools. The team wants one console for detection and response and a single licence. It maps alerts to DORA and SEC reporting needs and uses long hot retention for investigations that reach back several months.
  • A managed security service provider. The provider watches many customers from one place. The vendor lists multi-tenant deployment, where analysts act across tenants from a centralized console, and says its SOAR pricing adds no per-seat cost as the team grows.
  • A hospital security team. The team needs to catch staff who browse patient records without a reason. The vendor offers an EMR monitoring solution built on its behavior analytics to flag unusual access and support privacy investigations.

Getting started with Securonix

Securonix is sold through demos and sales conversations. The product pages offer Request a Demo and downloadable datasheets, and no self-service sign-up or free trial is printed on them. Deployment is described as cloud-native SaaS with nothing to install for the SIEM and SOAR, and the vendor lists a Snowflake-based option and a Bring Your Own AWS option under its platform pages.

For AWS shops, the vendor says it provides more than 15 native integrations and direct Security Hub ingestion. It also lists training, support and professional services under its Services menu. Plan for onboarding work to connect log sources and tune policies, since the vendor does not publish a time estimate.

Verdict: Securonix

Securonix sells Unified Defense SIEM as one cloud-native platform with SIEM, UEBA, SOAR and threat intelligence, and states there are no separate fees for SOAR, UEBA and analytics under its consumption model.

It keeps 365 days of searchable data. No figures are shown, so the cost depends on how your data volume is sized in a demo. Its offices are in California and Texas.

In our SIEM software ranking Securonix stands at #5 of 12: Exabeam sits directly above it and Sumo Logic directly below. After the challenger places, Securonix is one of the established names, ranked in order and without a score.

North America is home to 10 of the 12 vendors, Securonix among them (the United States).

08

Securonix pros and cons in practice

Works well
  • Embedded SOAR with no per-user or per-playbook charge simplifies cost planning for teams that add analysts over time.
  • A year of searchable hot data removes the archive-restore delay that often slows long investigations and audit requests.
  • Separate solution pages for AWS, Google Cloud, Azure and Microsoft 365 show where cloud log coverage is documented.
  • ISO/IEC 42001 certification gives buyers a named standard to ask for when reviewing the AI agents.
Gets in the way
  • No public price list or trial, so comparing it with other SIEM tools means a sales process first.
  • Performance and ROI numbers on the product page, such as 193 percent ROI, are vendor claims and depend on the customer environment.
  • Platform-wide certifications and hosting regions are not stated on the pages checked, so security reviews need documents from the vendor.
  • A broad platform means more onboarding effort than a single-purpose log search tool.
09

Paying for Securonix

Charging model: Consumption-based model with SOAR, UEBA and analytics not charged separately; sized in a demo.

No price list appears on the vendor's pricing-related pages, and the pricing path on its site returned a not-found page when checked. What the vendor does state is the model: a consumption-based approach called DPM Consumption, with no separate fees for SOAR, UEBA and analytics, and a flat model in which unlimited analyst seats cost nothing extra. The SOAR page says it is licensed in line with the SIEM with no additional variables such as users or playbooks. Amounts, currencies, contract lengths and volume tiers are not published, so a quote through the demo request is the only route to a number.

10

Setup, support and exit with Securonix

The vendor says searchable data stays hot for 365 days and that compliance reporting maps to SEC, GDPR and DORA.

Everything is sold as one platform, so leaving means extracting detections and data from several bundled parts, and the pages we read document no export route.

11

Securonix: data and security

The vendor says it holds ISO/IEC 42001 certification for its AI management system, which covers governance of its AI features rather than the whole platform. Its Legal Center lists a vulnerability disclosure page, a system status page and an open source software listing. Hosting region, data residency options, SOC 2 or ISO 27001 status and data export terms were not stated on the product pages checked.
