Hotels look past SiteMinder for different reasons: a fixed-term contract that bills out the remainder if you leave early, commission-based add-ons next to the subscription, and mapping work in two places. The alternatives below range from small European connection specialists to all-in-one systems and one property management system that resells SiteMinder itself.
Short answer: SmartHOTEL, Hotel-Spider and Octorate head the list of SiteMinder alternatives drawn from our channel manager ranking. Places 1 to 3 go to challengers, vendors outside the best-known brands in a category, wherever the category has them; the established names follow from place 4 in their ranked order. SmartHOTEL is the one to try if you want a Dutch supplier whose channel connection and payment automation come from the same team. All 11 alternatives below are ranked products from Best Channel Manager Software in 2026, and each says where it differs from SiteMinder.
Vendors can pay for more visibility on this website, for example a higher place in a ranking or more room on a page. Commercial relationships can also affect which products we feature and how prominently. Every vendor link is marked the same, whatever the arrangement behind it. How that works.

01
Why buyers look past SiteMinder
01
Leaving early costs the rest of the term
SiteMinder's cancellation guide asks for 30 days' notice and says that cancelling before a fixed-term contract ends triggers an early termination fee equal to the remaining balance. A core subscription that is part of a bundle cannot be cancelled on its own, and closing the account does not take the property off Booking.com or Expedia: inventory has to be closed in each channel's extranet. Read the signed terms before you plan a switch date.
02
Some add-ons are paid in commission, not in the subscription
The help centre describes Demand Plus, the metasearch product, as free of set-up and monthly fees with a commission on completed stays that varies by region and booking source, billed mid-month. Channels Plus charges 15 to 17 per cent of the net reservation amount, including on cancellation fees you charge. GDS bookings carry a booking fee even when the travel agent cancels late. The total therefore moves with your bookings, not only with your room count.
03
Rooms and rates must be mapped twice
To connect a channel you first need a contract and an active account with it, then your rooms and rates set up in that channel's extranet, then a mapping in SiteMinder. If a property management system is connected, rates are mapped to it first and the guide says to configure rooms and rates identically in every system. Changing PMS later means contacting support, and a set-up fee may apply. Support runs 24 hours in English, while local-language phone desks in Germany, France or Spain keep weekday office hours.
you are replacing your PMS anyway and accept SiteMinder connections inside it

SmartHOTEL's site gives an address on Orteliuslaan in Utrecht and cites more than 160 OTA, PMS and GDS integrations as one combined figure. The channel manager sits beside Smart Payments, which charges bookings automatically and is described as PCI compliant, and a Smart Booking Engine. The pages we read published no prices; contact is by discovery call.
Switch from SiteMinder if you want a Dutch supplier whose channel connection and payment automation come from the same team.
Hotel-Spider, from Nyon in Switzerland, sells six separate products: channel manager, booking engine, payment automation, GDS access, PMS connectivity and metasearch connections. It names Amadeus, Sabre and Travelport for GDS and says more than 10,000 hotels use its payment services. Its website comes in seven languages. No prices appear on the home page we read.
Switch from SiteMinder if you keep your own PMS and booking engine and want to swap only the distribution layer, with payments handled alongside.
Octorate publishes a Basic plan from €8 per room per month, quoted for an example of seven units, containing the channel manager, booking engine and activation support. Pro adds a cloud PMS, a Web Concierge AI and metasearch; Ultimate adds website builder, WhatsApp Business and business intelligence. Both come with 7-day support and a 14-day trial. The parent is named as Buffetti Group.
Switch from SiteMinder if a small property wants a readable entry price and a trial before anyone calls.
YieldPlanet says it reaches over 500 sales channels and pairs the channel manager with a Price Optimizer for forecasting and price control. Its PMS list names Techotel, SIHOT, Protel, UbikOS, Oracle and Mews, and it displays a Booking.com Premier Partner badge. No booking engine is mentioned and pricing is described only as tailored.
Switch from SiteMinder if you want automated rates to sit beside the connection and your PMS is on its list.
Amenitiz, headquartered in Barcelona, puts a PMS, a channel manager reaching 150+ OTAs, a booking engine and a website builder in one subscription. It reports 15,000+ independent hotels and support in five languages: English, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese. Direct bookings carry 0% commission, and the first month is free if you are not live within 30 days.
Switch from SiteMinder if your hotel is small, has no PMS you like and would rather replace everything than integrate three products.
eviivo includes a PMS, a booking engine or website and a channel manager with major OTAs, GDS platforms and regional channels in every subscription, from $50 a month for a single property and $125 for multi-property. Add-on managers cost $1 to $3 per room. A $0.50 fee per confirmed booking applies to the messaging and payment services. Its pricing page shows both 14 and 30 free days.
Switch from SiteMinder if you run a B&B or small hotel and want a calendar, channels and booking engine at one published figure.
Profitroom approaches the problem from the guest side: its list covers a booking engine, personalised offers, CRM and marketing automation, loyalty and websites, with a channel manager as one item. It cites over 4,500 hotels in 55 countries and support in seven languages. It lists no PMS of its own and publishes no prices on the page we read.
Switch from SiteMinder if direct bookings and upselling are the goal and distribution is a supporting tool.
D-EDGE bundles a central reservation system, channel manager, booking engine, GDS and payment solutions with a connectivity hub, data intelligence and website creation. The site says it operates in more than 22 countries and counts 20,000+ users for the channel manager. Accor appears as a client logo; the page read states no ownership. No prices are shown.
Switch from SiteMinder if you run several hotels and want one reservation system behind the channels.
STAAH claims connections to 2,000+ channels and 500,000+ travel agents through GDS, next to a revenue management system, booking engine, reputation tool, vouchers and a website builder. The pages we reached listed no prices, so a demo request comes first. Its channel list is the one most similar to SiteMinder's in reach.
Switch from SiteMinder if coverage of obscure portals matters and you want a similar breadth from a different supplier.
Cloudbeds sells plans called Flex, One, Experience and Enterprise, all by quote. On Flex you bring your own distribution; One includes Cloudbeds Distribution with the channel manager and booking engine; Experience and Enterprise make it optional. Its channel manager connects to hundreds of OTAs and the marketplace lists 400+ integration partners. The PMS comes with it.
Switch from SiteMinder if you would move the front desk system too, and want distribution on the same inventory.
Mews prices per room and quotes after a demo, on Core or Pro plans. Its home page announces the Mews Channel Manager as powered by SiteMinder, with a 400-channel network, so moving there keeps SiteMinder underneath. Payment processing is charged separately, 1,000+ marketplace integrations connect the rest, and the platform is bought as a whole.
Switch from SiteMinder if you are replacing your PMS anyway and accept SiteMinder connections inside it.
You want to keep your PMS and swap only the distribution layer
Hotel-Spider: It sells channel manager, PMS connectivity and GDS access as separate products from Nyon; ask for your PMS by name before signing.
02
You want a price before you talk to anyone
Octorate: Basic starts at €8 per room per month (quoted for seven units) with the booking engine included and a 14-day trial.
03
You want rate automation next to the connection
YieldPlanet: It pairs a channel manager reaching over 500 channels with a Price Optimizer, and lists Protel, Oracle and Mews among its PMS links.
04
You have no website or PMS you want to keep
Amenitiz: One subscription holds the PMS, a channel manager across 150+ OTAs, a booking engine and a website builder, with support in five languages.
05
You prefer a Dutch supplier for connections and payments
SmartHOTEL: It is based in Utrecht and pairs the channel manager with automatic payment collection; the pages we read showed no prices.
04
When SiteMinder is still the right choice
SiteMinder remains the safer pick when you need an unusual portal or a particular PMS connected. Its help centre documents separate products for distribution, direct booking, metasearch, GDS through Sabre's SynXis platform, payments, a website builder and multi-property use, with a self-service billing portal, subscription hold for up to three months and a change-of-ownership route. Support is available by chat and by phone around the clock in English. If your channels, PMS mapping and contract term are all in order, moving costs time and fees that a cheaper rate may not repay.
05
What moving off SiteMinder involves
01
Check the contract end date first
Open your signed terms and the Billing portal. The cancellation guide says notice is 30 days and an early termination fee equals the remaining balance, so a switch timed at the term end is cheaper. Put any add-on with its own notice period on the same calendar.
02
Keep every channel open while you reconnect
Cancelling does not remove you from OTA channels or stop bookings. Connect the new channel manager to each extranet, map rooms and rates, and close the old connection only after test reservations arrive. Ask SiteMinder for the CSV of existing bookings with channel reference codes.
03
Rebuild metasearch, GDS and PMS links separately
Demand Plus, GDS and a PMS integration are separate accounts or products with their own set-up. List which ones you use and who will take over each, and leave a few days for listings on Google Hotel Ads, Trivago and Tripadvisor to go live again.

Questions about replacing SiteMinder
7 answers
What is the best alternative to SiteMinder for a small hotel?
SmartHOTEL leads our list for hotels that want a smaller European supplier, with Hotel-Spider and Octorate next.
Octorate publishes a Basic plan from €8 per room per month, channel manager and booking engine included. Amenitiz and eviivo fit properties that also want a PMS in the same subscription.
Can I leave SiteMinder before my contract ends?
Yes, but SiteMinder's cancellation guide says an early termination fee equal to the remaining contract balance applies, and notice is 30 days from the request.
Cancelling also does not remove the hotel from OTA channels, so close inventory in each extranet. Check your signed terms and any add-on notice periods.
Which SiteMinder alternative works with my PMS?
Hotel-Spider sells PMS connectivity as a separate product and YieldPlanet names Techotel, SIHOT, Protel, UbikOS, Oracle and Mews.
Ask any candidate for the exact connection to your system before signing. Mews, Cloudbeds, Amenitiz and eviivo are PMS products with channels attached, so the question there is whether to replace the PMS.
Does Mews use SiteMinder?
Mews announces on its home page that its Mews Channel Manager is powered by SiteMinder, with a 400-channel distribution network.
A hotel moving to Mews therefore changes the contract and the interface but keeps SiteMinder technology underneath. It suits you if you are changing PMS anyway.
Which alternative has a free trial?
Octorate lists a 14-day trial, and Amenitiz says you do not pay for the first month if you are not live within 30 days.
eviivo's pricing page shows 14 and 30 free days in different places. The others we read invite you to book a demo.
Do alternatives to SiteMinder offer GDS access?
Hotel-Spider lists GDS with Amadeus, Sabre and Travelport, STAAH cites 500,000+ travel agents, and D-EDGE lists GDS solutions. SiteMinder's own GDS product is connected via Sabre's SynXis platform and charges a booking fee.
Is there a SiteMinder alternative with direct booking and website tools?
Amenitiz and eviivo include a booking engine and website in the subscription, Profitroom is built around the booking engine and offers, and STAAH sells a booking engine and website builder. Octorate Ultimate adds a website builder.
