Why a buyer should care where a vendor sits
Where a company is established decides which government can compel access to the data it holds, which is a different question from where the servers are. A vendor incorporated outside your jurisdiction with hosting inside it is still incorporated outside it. For most buyers that is a risk to be aware of rather than a disqualification, but it belongs in the decision rather than in the appendix.
It also predicts something practical: support hours, contract language, and whose holidays your escalation path observes.
