Elena Marchetti

Managing Editor · Milan, Italy

Runs the review process and sends a page back when a claim is not backed by anything.

Elena edits everything before it goes live and decides when a page is finished. Her background is in technology publishing and standards work, and she is the person who asks where a claim came from when a draft says a product is the best at something.

How Elena works

Every page on this site passes through three people: one writes it, a second edits it, and a third checks the claims against the vendor's own documentation. Elena takes each of those roles across different pages, so no one person both writes and signs off the same guide. Which role falls to whom is fixed per page, so a page keeps the same names when it is rebuilt. Our editorial process sets out what each role checks.
